The sun glared through the bedroom window of Lucas's room, causing him to stir in his sleep as he felt the sun rays hitting his face. He slowly sat up rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He looked over to see a familiar orange fur monkey, through its face, outer ears, underbelly, hands, and feet were yellow. Was laying curled up at the foot of the bed. The small monkey was no other than his starter Pokemon Chimchar.

'Today the day I'm finally leaving on my pokemon journey. Most trainers began their journey at the age of ten expect I decided to stand here and help my father at Professor Rowan's lab. That until when heading to the lake for research yesterday. Professor Rowan convince me to go on a journey.' Lucas thought as he got out of bed and walked over towards the window.

Lucas was pulled out of her thoughts as he was greeted by the smell of Nanb berry smoothie and waffles. He smiled knowing his mother must have made a special breakfast because of him starting his Pokemon journey.

Lucas raced out of his room and into the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day. After a good twenty-five minutes, he was out of the bathroom and dressed. He had his signature cap on his head covering his black hair. He walked into his room to see if his partner Chimchar was awake, only to see him standing right near his feet at the entrance of his room.

"Morning Chimchar. Did you have a nice sleep?"

"Chimchar, Char!"

"That good my little Chimp pal. Anyway, mom's cooking and I'm hungry. Maybe she made those Pokemon poffins you love," Lucas said.

At this Chimchar's mouth watered. He nodded happily and hopped onto Lucas's shoulder. Filled with excitement, Lucas ran down the stairs almost with lighting speed, just as his mother was about to call him down.

"Lucas Diamond you know better than to run down the stairs!" His mom scolded.

"Sorry, mom," Lucas said apologizing.

"It's fine dear. I'll let it slide since today you will be going on your journey. Just be careful okay. You won't have me around to patch you up if you get hurt," She said with concern in her voice.

Lucas nodded and walked into the kitchen to see his father sitting at the table drinking his morning tea. Along with his grandfather who was drinking his morning coffee. While his little sister ran over and reached up to hold Chimchar.

Lucas smiled at her before letting her hold and pet his Chimchar.

"Morning son, sleep well?" His father asked.

"Yeah kind of. I had to force myself to go to sleep though. I was so excited to start my journey as a real Pokemon trainer. This is going to be awesome!" Lucas grinned sitting down at the table straightening his hat.

Lucas's mother placed a bowl full of red-looking poffins in front of Chimchar once his sister let him go so he could eat. The chimp Pokemon began salivating as he sniffed the poffins made with Tamato berries and a little bit of Razz berries.

Plates filled with pancakes and toast were set on the table. Oran berry jam and maple syrup were set as well. Eggs and bacon were scraped off skillets and onto the plates. Following that, we're glasses of peach berry smoothie.

"Dig in you five," Lucas's mother said with a bright smile.

Dawn was riding her bike down a path that had a sign that read route 202 on it, before stopping and running down the hill.

"Piplup, come on out!" Dawn said throwing her Pokeball and releasing Piplup.

The Pokeball opened and a bright red light flashes for a moment before a Pokemon came out.

"Piplup!" The penguin Pokemon said.

Dawn and Piplup walked a little bit ahead to a clearing. A few minutes later they were leaning against a large rock with Piplup on her lap.

"Piplup, I'm psyched and all, but I'm starting to wonder about a new Pokemon trainer like me does," Dawn said looking up at the sky. "If Lucas was around. I'm sure he would have some useful advice on what to do. With him being an assistant to Professor Rowan plus he was already a trainer before me.

"Piplup," The water-type penguin chirped agreeing with Dawn.

"Alright, let's go catch a Pokemon," Dawn said as she got up from the rock.

Inside of Jubilife City, a large city that was built on land that was carved out of a mountain. It is the most modernized city in the Sinnoh lea region. Bustling with people walking around the city. People coming here just to get Poketech from the company or entering Pokemon contests or even just to visit the pokemon school for tips on raising Pokemon.

A young girl around the age of fourteen could be seen making her way over to a nice hotel building. She had dark purple hair tied up in a bun. Her eyes were a lighter shade of purple compared to her hair. She wore a blue long sleeve shirt, with a black undershirt, and a red bow on the front. She also wore a pink skirt with some black pants. There was also a grey bag on her back.

The young girl arrived inside the hotel and took an evaluator up to the fourth floor. She immediately pulled out a key when she arrived at room number 405.

She sighed as a ringing was heard and pulled out what looked like a pink Pokegear from the side pocket of her bag. A female voice was heard on the other side as soon as she answered it.

"Good your there Leda," The voice said.

"Yeah," Leda replied rolling her eyes even though the other person couldn't see her.

"So anything new?" She asked.

"No..." Leda replied. "Nothing new if you are talking information for the organization commander Jupiter or should I say, mother."

"You never have anything new," Jupiter muttered.

"I have other things to do than helping you weirdos," Leda stated.

"Like what?" Jupiter asked.

"Like achieving my dream of challenging the elite four, but first I need to get badges and beat the Sinnoh league," Leda muttered.

The last comment heard before Leda hung up was, "Her and that dream," Jupiter muttered so low her daughter didn't hear her.

"Alright Lucas, are you sure you are ready for this journey?"His mother asked with a serious tone.

"Yes mom, I am. I already made up my mind and am going to leave for my journey as a trainer," Lucas replied with a determined expression on his face.

"I believe in you son. Plus this will be a big help to Professor Rowan's research, and it will be fun for you as well. We all get something out of this," Lucas's father said.

"Yeah what do I get I don't get to go?" Lucas's sister said puffing her cheeks.

"Yeah what do we get?" Lucas's mom asked.

"Hailey sis you get to have some new friends to play with at Professor Rowan's lab when I send him Pokemon," he said smiling at his little sister. "Mom you finally getting me to create my own path instead of sitting in a lab helping Professor Rowan because I wanted to be like dad. Now I'm becoming my own person instead," He smirked.

"Trust him Lucas is smart and knows what he doing," Lucas's grandfather said.

"Alright, we'll do you have everything? Because you can come back if you ever need something, " His mom said smiling at him.

"I have everything mom. You don't need to worry just like grandpa said. I'll be fine now better head out. If I want to travel for a while before it gets too dark. It still bight early morning still don't want to spend all my time here," Lucas chuckled at his mom worrying.

"Oh right just be careful out there," Mrs. Diamond said.

"I will mom," Lucas said hugging his family.

"Be safe son. And call us every now and then, we want to know what you're up to," Mr. Diamond said with a grin.

"Don't worry. I will definitely be in touch whenever I get a chance to call. I will also make sure to catch loads of new Pokemon and send them to the lab occasionally."

"They will have a great time with that along with Hailey when she goes to spend time at the lab," Mrs. Diamon said with a giggle.

With goodbyes having been said. Lucas hugged his family one last time, before heading out the door. Chimchar Pokeball clipped on his belt, as we're five other pokeballs. While more were stocked away in his bag. It was now time to begin his own journey and continue helping Professor Rowan as well as creating his own path.

So this wraps of chapter one of this new. In this chapter, Lucas is finally leaving to start to start his Pokemon journey. We also got a look to see what Dawn was up to as well as a look at my original character who will learn more about throughout the story. Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments.
