Gojira smiled as the wagon made its way through the brush heading towards his Queen, who he now knew was named Shantae. He could tell it was heading in the right direction, as the sense of her mana was growing stronger. The one with mana of two worlds guided it, having awakened it with her mana of the other world in some way he did not grasp. However, he'd leapt on because he could tell it was strong enough to support him, and lived in its own way. Still, he could tell it would be some time before they would reach the lands, structures, and people that were Hers. He could simply relax and wait...but he felt perhaps he should plan something. While he'd never before bothered with 'plans', he'd never needed to before. But this was important. This was his only chance to make a first impression on his Queen in Her world. He needed it to go right. He'd already donned 'pants' in order to be 'civilized', but that might not be enough. At the moment, all he knew about Her world was that when things broke, it took shinies to fix them, and thus breaking things was bad.

The one guiding him had a Bond with Her. Perhaps this was a good place to start? But how was he to address her? He didn't know that many words of the Small World yet, and in the Large World he was used to, intent was transmitted without the use of specific sounds, as it was felt through mana. However, that had not happened when speaking with this one. He'd had to think about what she'd said, and try to make sense of it. How was he to even get her attention?

As he thought, he recalled she had used words to get his attention when she'd first spotted him, though he hadn't realized that was her intent. Perhaps one of those words would do? She'd also looked his way, so perhaps that would help? He leaned down over the front of the wagon, seeing the top of her head and the open top of the garment she wore on her top half like pants were for bottom half. "Tasty?" he called out, hoping he'd picked the right word to get her attention.

She jumped in surprise, then looked up at him with an inviting smirk, thrusting out her chest as she did so. "I bet that view certainly is, but I thought you were looking for Shantae?" she asked, her tone somehow both playful and confrontational, not unlike the way The Other gently goaded his behavior before her Sleep.

"Shantae?" Gojira asked in surprise, looking around for Her. When he did not see Her, he turned back in confusion, only to see that the one he'd been speaking to was now frowning.

"I take it you weren't actually commenting on the view?" she asked, lightly tugging down on the not-pants she wore.

Gojira tilted his head as he attempted to make sense of the interchange. Apparently he had used the wrong word...but it had gotten her attention. He'd need to know what to say to get her attention the right way. She had addressed him by name...perhaps knowing her name would help that? He pointed to himself. "Gojira!" He then pointed at her, hoping that would be enough to get his intent across.

She blinked for a few moments, then laughed. "I didn't introduce myself, did I?" she asked happily. She then extended her hand and gripped his. "Rotty Tops," she said as she shook his hand.

"Rotty...Tops..." Gojira tasted the name on his tongue. The first part felt...unclean, but not in an unpleasant way. It seemed tied to the mana of the Other World, which he did not have. He then nodded to himself. He would address her by the part of her name that was of this world, as he was. "Tops!" he declared firmly. As she released his hand with a laugh, he pulled back and attempted to formulate his question. "Tops...Shantae like Gojira?"

Rotty Tops stopped laughing as her eyebrows went up. "Forward, aren't you?" she asked, her tone amused. When Gojira didn't respond for a time, she sighed and continued. "Well, I dunno if I'd go as far as to say she likes you, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't dislike you, so that's a start."

"Start," Gojira agreed thoughtfully. So he was not entirely in his Queen's favor, but he wasn't out of it. "...For...ward?" he asked curiously. That seemed to mean something like what he was asking.

Rotty started to answer, then paused. "You aren't asking what I meant about you being forward, are you?" she clarified. When he shook his head, she thought a bit more, then smirked. "You want advice on how to get Shantae to like you?"

Gojira nodded eagerly. "Yes!" he confirmed happily. He then gestured inquiringly at his pants. "Civilized...good?"

Rotty chuckled, her tone somewhere between eager and...hungry? He wasn't sure what that meant. "Well, if it were me, the 'uncivilized' look would certainly do wonders...but despite how she dresses, Shantae's a bit too innocent to appreciate something like that. A bit too forward for her...so yeah, civilized is good with Shantae."

Gojira nodded. He didn't fully understand what Tops was saying, but apparently it was good for Shantae to perceive him as civilized if he wanted Her to approve of him. "More?" he asked hopefully.

Rotty Tops tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Hmm...well, she takes her job as Guardian Genie pretty seriously..."

"Don't break Her stuff," Gojira concluded decisively. He knew that much. She had gotten upset with him for breaking what was Hers before, after all. So he would not break what was Hers.

"Also try to avoid hurting anyone unless you have to," Rotty added. "Sure, I personally think she'd be better off without a few headaches like Scuttlebutt or Risky...but she's pretty firm on that."

"Shantae stuff includes people," Gojira agreed with a thoughtful nod.

Rotty chuckled at that. "Good way to look at it," she allowed with a smile. "Other than that..." She scratched her chin thoughtfully. "Shantae's pretty straight forward in how she does things, and how she interacts with people. I think my best advice would be to be yourself. Pretty sure she'll know plain as day you're trying to be her friend and not make a mess of things, and she can put up with a lot if she knows that." Rotty frowned pensively. "She certainly does from me..." she admitted quietly, and a little sadly. "And anything you do that she really doesn't like, she'll tell you," she continued at a more normal volume. "Long as you show you're making an effort there, you should be fine."

Gojira nodded firmly as he took in that advice. So he should be careful not to damage anything that was Hers, and otherwise be genuine - but not forward - and She will see his intention, and thus will be in Her good graces. That would be more than enough. He'd figure out anything else if it became important.

His head jerked up as he caught sight of the buildings. They looked different from how they looked from the Large World...but the one by the water looked the same from this distance. That tower of light is where She lived! Without hesitation, he leapt from the wagon and charged into town.

"Wait-" Tops started to call to him, but he did not heed. As people saw him racing in, they moved to dodge out of the way, and he moved to evade them aside from occasionally reaching out with his tail to ensure they did not injure themselves by falling. A lot of noise preceded his race towards the tower, and as he came in sight of it he saw it open at the base...and She emerged.

"Shantae!" he called happily as he raced up to her, bending knees and back to be at her level before leaning in to nuzzle her shoulder and neck, shifting to place his own neck by her mouth to show his submission. ...admittedly, the fact his neck was still partially armored with scales might take away from the meaning, but maybe she'd understand?

"W-wha-wha-?" she began in confusion as she started to back away, only to suddenly get her feet as she recognized the spines along his back. "G...Gojira?" she asked in shock as she pulled back. Gojira smiled and nodded eagerly at her.

"Get away from my niece!" the voice Gojira recognized as the 'ancient one' Shantae was bonded with shouted. Gojira did not move as the vial smashed into his back and released a cloud of smoke that was hot and felt spicy. It was harmless to Gojira, but it might have injured Shantae in this form had he dodged and it hit her, so he did not.

"Uncle Mimic!" Shantae shouted out angrily as she stepped around Gojira to confront the old one. "What do you think you're doing?"

"My duty as your Uncle by dealing with strangers that get too fresh with you!" Mimic snapped out as he readied another vial.

"I-It's not a stranger!" Shantae insisted defensively. "I...I'm not sure how, but it's Gojira!"

Mimic frowned, his eyebrows lowering over his goggles. "The giant sea beast you brought home? How?"

Grinning, Gojira decided to demonstrate the way he'd explained it to Tops. He reared up and gave his hips a shake.

Shantae's eyes widened. "You...you imitated my Transformation Dance to take this form?" she asked in shock. When he nodded, she frowned thoughtfully. "Gamera did say you learned to open gates between worlds from traveling through a natural one. I suppose you could have learned how my magic worked from me transforming on your muzzle...but to create your own dance in the process...that's amazing-"

"That's even worse!" Mimic snapped out as he reached to his belt and grabbed a small sphere with a pin.

"Uncle Mimic!" Shantae screamed out angrily.

"It's one thing if you brought home some...some oversized pet!" Mimic declared angrily and defensively. "I half expect that! But I'm not about to stand by when instead it's a boy...and an uncivilized brute at that-"

"Hey!" Gojira barked out defensively. He then pointed at his legs. "Gojira has pants!" He then braced his hands on his hips, doing his best to look affronted. "Gojira civilized!"

He wasn't sure why this led to Mimic and Shantae staring at him the way they did...or why it led to Tops smacking her face with her hand hard enough for her head to come off while laughing, but he was certain they got the message. Right?
