Fighting Leaf Gym
The sounds of a punching bag was heard throughout the gym as Naruto goes wild on the bag. "Hey Naruto! Come here." said the gym owner. Naruto quickly heads over to him. "Hey Kid I got a challenger, some hotshot from Volcano Country." said the owner. "Yeah what about him?" asked Naruto. "Kid's got an impressive record 44 wins and no losses" Naruto stays silent for a few moments. "Look Chen we agreed that I'll never set foot in the ring." Chen frowned "I know kid but I miss those days, the training, the fighting, and the money." said Chen. "One last time Kid, please for this old gym owner?" pleaded Chen "I'll think about it." said Naruto. "So he got a name?" Naruto asked. Chen smiled "they call him 'red fist ' Sendô. "
Konoha East Gate - Next Morning
Team 7 was waiting for Kakashi and Tazuna. Naruto groaned in boredom as Sasuke and Sakura were in a very heavy make out session. "God this is uncomfortable to watch." said Naruto as he takes out a drinking gourd.
A few minutes later Kakashi and Tazuna arrive to see Sasuke and Sakura whispering and giggling amongst themselves, and a very red Naruto. "Alright team let's head out" said Kakashi. On the road Sakura makes conversation with Tazuna asking him if there is ninja in Wave Country. "No Sakura, Wave Country does not have ninja because the sea is a natural defence." said Kakashi. "Only the six great nations and the minor countries have ninja, but only six people can call themselves 'Kage'." said Kakashi. "Why's that Kakashi -sensei ?" asked Sakura. "Because a Kage is a ninja that commands over a thousands of ninja, and currently only six people are deserving of the title." "Why six?" asked Sasuke. "Because these six people are the strongest of their respective villages, and with their strength and wisdom they command the ninja of their respective hidden villages." said Kakashi "The six are the Tsuchikage, Raikage, Kazekage, Mizukage, Hokage and Yôkage." said Kakashi.
As Kakashi went into 'lecture mode' Naruto noticed a puddle. "So much for bieng a normal C-Rank." mumbled Naruto. Naruto lit up his cigarette, before he could take a drag Kakashi was cut into pieces. Sakura screamed as Kakashi was butchered, Naruto and Sasuke quickly engaged the two ninja. Sasuke threw a kunai at his opponent, the ninja easily dodged the thrown weapon, but failed to see Sasuke coming in with a vicious taijutsu combo.
As Sasuke was dealing with the other ninja, Naruto body flickered to the ninja's back and then he slit behind the man's knees. As the ninja fell to his knees Naruto swiftly slit the ninja's throat. "Gozu!!" yelled the ninja "I'll kill you brats!!" he shouted. As the enraged ninja charged at Naruto, Sasuke plunged two kunai at the sides of the ninja's head, effectively killing him.
'These kids!' thought Tazuna in fear as Naruto and Sasuke killed two grown men in under two minutes. "Well done team. " chirped Kakashi, "Kakashi-sensei you're alive!" shouted Sakura in relief. "Naruto, Sasuke come with me." said Kakashi seriously. The three reached a clearing in the woods. "Let it out you two." said the Jônin. On cue the two Genin threw up "d-does it get any easier?" asked Sasuke. "Yes it does." replied Kakashi. "As long as you don't enjoy killing, you'll never lose your humanity." continued Kakashi.
A few minutes later the genin and jônin rejoined with the client and Sakura. "Those two were Gozu and Meizu aka 'the demon brothers' two rogue ninja from Kirigakure." said Kakashi. "Now the reason why I didn't intervene was because I wanted to see what they were after. " Kakashi looked at Tazuna. "You lied to us about the mission this wasn't a C-Rank, this is a A-rank mission considering the associate of these Chūnin is." said Kakashi. "You've now put the lives of my students at risk with this mission, so unfortunately Tazuna we cannot continue this mission." Tazuna dropped down to his knees in tears "Please I'm sorry that I lied about the mission. The truth is that Wave Country is extremely poor due to Gatô." said Tazuna. "Gatô? The Gatô of the shipping magnate?" asked Kakashi. "Ever since Gatô came to Wave Country he has been oppressing us making us pay ridiculous taxes to him, stealing our women and children for slavery. Gatô is killing our country that's why I'm building a bridge to the mainland so that trade can come back to Wave Country." said Tazuna. "Hmm because of this bridge Gatô feels threatened by you so he hired ninja to kill you." said Kakashi. Tazuna nodded " but that's not our problem anymore. Until you can provide the necessary funds for an A-rank mission this mission is ov-"
"Let's do it " said Naruto. "I for one don't want innocent people to suffer just because the village didn't get the necessary funds." said Naruto. " 'The job of the strong is to protect the weak.' Those are the words of the First Hokage. " said Naruto. "I'm with Naruto on this one" said Sasuke. Sakura looked nervous "M-me too Sensei." said Sakura. Kakashi sighs "Alright Tazuna we'll do the mission." said Kakashi. "Thank you, thank you" cried Tazuna
On the coast of Wave Country
As team 7 and Tazuna sit on the boat they see a massive bridge on the horizon. Kakashi whistles "that is one impressive bridge" Naruto and Sasuke nodded and Sakura had stars in her eyes. As the boat dropped off the ninja and bridge builder. The four were walking to Tazuna's house , when Naruto threw a kunai at the bush. As Naruto investigated he found a dead bunny with a kunai in its eye. Sakura quickly berated Naruto for killing an innocent animal. Kakashi's mind was going ham. 'A white coat in spring? That bunny was raised indoors, and Naruto isn't usually on edge like this...this can only mean that SHIT!' "Everyone get down!" yelled Kakashi. As a cleaver like sword flew over them . "Well, well if isn't Kakashi of the Sharingan. " said the man on top the massive sword. 'Sharingan ?' thought Sasuke. "No wonder why the demon brothers failed. " continued the man. "Zabuza Momochi the 'Demon of Kirigakure,' one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen." Naruto's got excited all of a sudden. "You've been doing your homework eh Kakashi ?" asked Zabuza.
"Hand over the bridge builder Kakashi." said Zabuza. "No can do." chirped Kakashi. "As expected " said Zabuza as he made handsigns "Ninja Art: hidden mist jutsu" said the rogue ninja as thick mist formed around the area. "Protect Tazuna" said Kakashi as killing intent flooded the area. 'This is how it feels when two Jônin battle one another. ' thought Sasuke as he prepares to slit his throat "Calm down Sasuke I'll never let my comrades die." said Kakashi. "IS THAT SO?!" yelled Zabuza as he cut Kakashi in half. Instead of blood coming out the masked jônin he turned into a puddle of water. 'Water Clone?' thought Zabuza as Kakashi stabbed him from behind, unfortunately for Kakashi, Zabuza turned into a puddle himself. 'Shit!' thought Kakashi as he was kicked into the lake. 'Why is this water so thick?' thought Kakashi. "Water style: Water Prison jutsu." said Zabuza as Kakashi was trapped in a bubble of water.
The genin were shocked by how fast their sensei got his ass kicked. As Naruto prepared to free his sensei, "Naruto, Sasuke take Sakura and Tazuna and run!" yelled Kakashi. Naruto and Sasuke nod. Zabuza sees this and with one hand sign he formed five water clones. "You brats think that you're ninja just because you have that headband on your forehead? No a real ninja is someone who has blood on their hands, a real killer." Taunted Zabuza. With one handsign 'Fire style: Phoenix flower jutsu' Sasuke blew out five fireballs at the clones, the clones dodged the fireballs. "Hahaha, you think those pathetic fireballs will be enough to beat my clones." laughed Zabuza, however his laughter was cut as his clones turned into puddles. Zabuza hears a click as Naruto sheathed his sword, Zabuza is shocked that a Genin possessed such speed. Naruto nods to Sasuke as the avenger took out a demon shuriken and threw it at Zabuza. Zabuza caught the shuriken, when another shuriken came under the shadow of the first. Zabuza jumped over the shuriken, the shuriken then popped into smoke revealing that Naruto was the shuriken. Quickly Naruto threw a kunai with an exploding tag at the rogue ninja. Zabuza quickly body flickered away from the explosion as the bubble holding Kakashi dissolved.
Zabuza and Naruto looked at each other. "You're one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen right?" asked Naruto. Zabuza nodded "I challenge you to a duel." said Naruto. Zabuza almost laughed until he saw Naruto the boy gave off an aura of a warrior. "Very well then brat, you better make it challenging." said Zabuza as he took his stance. Naruto unsheathed his two swords as he took his own stance. 'Nitoryu!' thought Kakashi. "Two swords style? You don't see that everyday " said Zabuza. The two clash the area was soon alive with sounds of swords clashing. Naruto noticed that his two swords had deep cracks on them. Zabuza laughed " Not bad brat too bad you're going to die your swords are too weak against the executioners blade." Naruto smirks as a black metallic substance covered his blades. Kakashi and Zabuza were shocked "H-haki, b-but how?" said Zabuza "Let's end this." said the blonde.
The two swordsmen clashed their swords on a lake. The one swordsman would slash and stab, and the other would dodge and parry. To outsiders this was a beautiful and deadly dance, where one wrong move could cost one of the swordsmen's lives. 'Nitoryu: Black Hell' 'Demon's Execution' with this the swordsmen clashed once more. The lake was silent as the two swordsmen stood with their backs facing each other. Naruto fell to his knees as blood came out of a deep gash across his stomach, the Haki on his swords disappeared as the swords cracked into pieces. "Brat in my years as a swordsman I've never seen such talent with the blade." said Zabuza. Naruto stood on his knees as he sheathed the remains of his swords. "I lost." Naruto said as he stood up with hands outstretched, and faced Zabuza. "So you follow the old ways huh?" said the rogue swordsman." Naruto nods "Scars on the back are a swordsman's shame." Zabuza nods and proceeds to slash Naruto's chest two times, leaving an X shaped wound.
Team 7 and Tazuna were in awe of the fight in front of them. The two swordsmen were on a league of their own. As the swordsmen clashed once more, they watched as Naruto fell to his knees. Sakura sees that Naruto is injured "Sensei we have to save Naruto!" exclaimed Sakura. Kakashi looked at his female student and sighed "Sakura this is a battle between two swordsmen interfering now would be be an insult." said Kakashi. Then they saw Naruto standing in front of Zabuza with his hands outstretched, and Zabuza slashing the blonde's chest. Sakura gasped as tears welled in her eyes, Sasuke clenched his fist so hard that his palms bled. Kakashi saw the pain his students were in, but he must get them to understand. "Sakura, Sasuke this is Naruto's resolve if he survives he regained his honour as a swordsman." said Kakashi solemnly.
Zabuza Momochi looked at the bleeding blonde before him. "Brat, not a lot of swordsmen these days follow the old ways. If you survive, train hard, and get experience." said Zabuza. "And when you're strong enough come and face me." continued Zabuza as he walked over to finish his mission. Five steps later Zabuza's body was covered in slashes, 'This brat actually managed to wound me!' thought Zabuza as he fell down in pain. Kakashi appeared behind him "Zabuza it's time for you to die." said Kakashi as a pair of needles pierce Zabuza's neck. "You were right it was his time to die" said a masked ninja "I've been hunting Zabuza for days" continued the masked ninja as he disappeared with Zabuza's body
"Naruto!" That scream brought Kakashi out of his thinking as his blonde student fell face first into the water. Kakashi quickly picked up his injured student, he turned to Tazuna "How far is your house from here?" as team 7 and Tazuna quickly left the lake.
As they arrived at Tazuna's house they were greeted by an attractive woman "Father! you came back." said the woman. "Excuse me." said Kakashi as he carried an injured Naruto into the house. The woman quickly took the pair upstairs. "Sasuke do you think Naruto will be okay?" asked Sakura. Sasuke gave Sakura a peck on her forehead. "He'll be fine" said the avenger.
Tazuna's house - Next Morning
Naruto woke up with a groan as he felt his chest burning. He slowly got up and left the room. Following the smell of breakfast Naruto saw his team and Tazuna with two other people. "Naruto you shouldn't be moving too much." scolded Sakura. Naruto rolled his eyes and sat down to eat. "Naruto this is Tazuna's daughter Tsunami and her son Inari. " said Kakashi. Naruto greeted Tsunami, as he was greeting Inari the kid ran out of the room. "Sorry about that Inari doesn't like visitors." apologised Tsunami. Naruto shrugged as he ate breakfast. Kakashi looked at his team. "Zabuza's still alive." said Kakashi

A/N: Alright this is chapter 5 of The Strongest. The fight between Zabuza and Naruto, is the same as the fight between Zoro and Mihawk during the Baratie Arc. So yeah imma go ahead and walk my dog.
