Heyo! Thank you for the kind reviews on the previous chapter! I am thinking of adding a prologue, or just adding the dream that Cat has before the start of the first chapter. Let me know what you think.

Welcome back to chapter two! Today Jane and Alex get introduced more, Leo gets his entrance, albeit rather short, Piper makes a guest appearance, Percy isn't going to sleep, and Alex and Nico are a serious sibling mood. But I won't keep you for long, enjoy! :D

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Percy Jackson universe, sadly. I'm only borrowing them to play in my sandbox for a bit! Cat is my very special OC, however, as is Quentin, Episis, and any other odd names you don't remember. Alex and Jane are OC's created by some talented friends of mine.

After going for a quick stroll in the woods to get away from... everything, Jane returned to the Poseidon cabin, expecting Percy to be asleep. She slipped inside the cabin, wincing when the door creaked loudly as she closed it. She turned around, hoping she hadn't woken Percy, only to see him sitting in the middle of the room staring at her. There was worry in his sea-green eyes as he met her eyes and stood.

"Um…hi." Jane said awkwardly, fidgeting with her charm bracelet and glancing around. Her cozy, extremely inviting bunk was in the very back of the room, neatly made with her few belongings arranged on her nightstand.

Percy sighed, his raven-black hair falling onto his face as he crossed his arms. "You need to tell me about stuff like that. The hellhound, I mean."

Jane cast one last longing look at her bed, then sighed and turned her attention to her new cabin-mate. "Why? I'm just one of your bunkmates." she said, baffled. "Well- your only bunkmate."

He gave her an innocent, slightly exasperated look. "Uh, no. You're my little sister. I know we haven't known each other for our whole lives, not even close. But we share blood, and that has to count for something. Plus, we are pretty rare. Kids of Poseidon, I mean. Not siblings. My point is, we have to stick together."

Jane stared at him for a full minute, surprised.

"Oh."

She looked away, not sure how to respond to that huge statement. I barely know him. So why does that mean so much to me? Sure, he's nice and all, but I just met him!

Percy looked worried, as if he had said something wrong. Jane smiled and gave him a quick hug, deciding to simply dodge around the statement. "Thanks, Percy."

He smiled and returned the hug, surprising Jane with his excitement. She pulled back, feeling shy despite his friendliness. She wondered if it would be lonely, living in the cabin all alone. Having grown up as the oldest of six siblings, she thought it'd be kind of nice. From what she knew, however, Percy was an only child for over half his life, until his family adopted Cat.

"Oh, also, are you free tomorrow?" Percy asked, dragging her attention back to the boy in front of her.

Jane shrugged, raising an eyebrow. "I'm always free unless someone says I'm not. Why do you ask?" she questioned, retreating to the sanctuary of her bed.

Percy laughed and flopped onto his own messy bed. "Great! So, do you want to come to Cat's birthday party tomorrow? We're throwing a surprise one down at the beach."

Jane froze for a moment, shoving her anxiety down, and nodded. "Sure, why not? Sounds like fun." she reached for her book, then faltered, laughing slightly. "Wait. So you were just pretending that you forgot her birthday at dinner?" she asked, impressed.

He winked, smirking. "Yep. I'm amazing like that."

Jane laughed. "Goodnight," she hesitated, turning the word brother around in her mind, but decided it was too soon. "Bunkmate."

Percy frowned slightly before quickly covering it with a smile. "Night."

Jane turned away from him and slid into her bed, happy for the first time in a while. Unable to sleep, she replayed the conversation over and over in her mind. When she had lost her family and everything she knew, there hadn't been hope for anything to fill the hole it left in her heart and life. But as she thought over Percy's words, she realized that maybe, just maybe, she could find a family here.

Ugh. One word can describe pretty much everything in life. How impressive. Alex stalked away from the dining pavilion, pulled her hood up, and popped her headphones into place. She glanced at a couple people as they passed by, recalling their names and why she didn't like them. Her dark eyes stopped on the Poseidon table, where three people were gathered, talking in the fading light. As she watched, one of the girls gestured widely, barely managing to keep a straight face as the others dissolved into fits of laughter. The only boy slapped the table as she finished, his sea-green eyes dancing and black hair tossing in the wind.

Alex recognized him as the kid everyone gushed on and on about, Perry Johnson or something like that. Apparently he saved everyone several times, but to Alex he seemed more like a class clown than a hero. These people all had soft and easy lives, with no true understanding of the way it was in the world.

Her gaze moved on from the boy, landing on the girl sitting next to him. Perched awkwardly on the bench, her brown hair falling gently on her shoulders, Jane looked like she belonged anywhere but at this camp. Alex had run into her a couple times since she'd arrived a week ago, and so far, had no reason to dislike her. Strangely enough, the shy girl seemed like one of the few people here who might understand her. Alex tore her gaze away from Jane, scolding herself. She couldn't afford to think like that.

Alex considered the last person at the table, her eyes narrowing as she identified her. She knew who the confident and pretty girl was, alright. Catalia, or Cat, as she insisted on being called. The popular girl, the one who all the guys fell for. Why they did so was beyond Alex's knowledge, for Cat barely spared them a glance. Alex hated popular girls more than anyone or anything else. They were stuck-up snotty brats with no care for anyone but themselves. Ironically, Cat looked more like a mouse than her namesake. Her round rose-gold glasses, perched on a small nose, only contributed to the look.

Cat glanced up and met Alex's gaze for a second, and not for the first time Alex was weirded out by the millions of colors dancing in her eyes. Her expression seemed friendly enough, but there was something hiding behind her smile. Alex looked away, uncomfortable, and Cat returned to her conversation without a second glance. Sneering slightly, Alex wondered if she was just used to everyone staring at her.

Hearing slight footsteps behind her, she turned with a murderous glare, ready to scare off whoever dared approach her. Instead, her glare turned from murderereous to merely annoyed as she found herself facing the single exception to her campwide dislike. Nico,

"Um, hello? You interrupted my brooding." Alex snapped, though she wasn't really annoyed. Nico, head counselor and her only bunkmate in the Hades cabin, was a surprisingly likeable person. Except for their… interesting first meeting, the two half-siblings had gotten along fairly well.

Nico rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Ready to sleep already?" he asked, glancing at her half full plate still sitting on their table.

"No. Ready to leave all those annoying kids behind." Alex responded, rolling her eyes right back at him.

"Uh-huh." Nico smirked, following her as she stalked out of the pavilion, "Anyways, I'm taking you to a party tomorrow night. It's a surprise birthday party for one of my oldest friends." he smiled infuriatingly at her, opening the door to their cabin as she reached it.

Alex stopped short, giving him an incredulous stare. "Um. No?" She took the door from him and walked inside, letting it slam in his face.

Nico growled and shoved the door open, and proceeded to have a staring contest with her, which he won. Aggravatingly. "Ugh. Fine I'll go to the stupid party. Just don't expect me to, well, party." Alex snapped, folding her arms.

He shrugged. "At least you're going." Alex rolled her eyes again and threw the closet pillow at him, which he ducked, snickering.

She huffed, making her way over to her bed, then turned around. "Wait, whose party is it?"

Nico smirked again, sauntering into the bathroom. "Oh, Catalia. She's Percy Jackson's sister, from the-"

Alex cut him off with a resounding clang as she slammed her knife down on her nightstand. Nico's head repeated as he leaned out past the door frame of the bathroom, one eyebrow raised at her.

"I know who she is, and I'm not going." Alex growled.

Nico fully exited the bathroom, his eyebrow still raised. "Um, first of all, too late, you said yes already. Secondly, what on earth do you have against Catalia?"

"Everything. I hate her, so I'm not going." Alex snapped, crossing her arms.

"Too late, you can't take it back." Nico shook his head, then retreated to the bathroom before she could find something to throw at him. Muttering some choice words about people, parties, and siblings, Alex climbed into her bunk with a huff. Great. Now I have to go be around everyone celebrating that annoying drama queen. Can this camp get any worse?

Leo slid off Festus's back and sighed in relief. Shopping was really not his thing. Piper jumped off next to him, grinning brightly.

"You're lucky you had me there, Tool Head, or you would have bought completely the wrong thing." she said, dusting off her legs and stretching.

"Oh come on," he protested, "I'm not that bad at picking out gifts." Piper raised her eyebrow, and Leo sighed, knowing it was pointless to argue. "Fine. My eternal gratitude will live forever in your genius hands, Beauty Queen."

Piper smirked, then looked him over, scrunching her face up at what she saw. "Come on, you need to get dressed to impress a girl, not a bucket of grease and tools."

Leo huffed, but let her drag him off. He did want to impress Cat, and Piper knew how to impress girls better than almost anyone. She pulled him to the Aphrodite cabin, grabbing his arm when he tried to escape, and shoved him inside. Needless to say, her cabin mates were very excited to dress him up. Piper and several of her ever-present siblings started digging through their massive collection of outfits, throwing the rejected options all over the cabin until it looked like a wardrobe had exploded. When Leo was finally freed from the pink cabin and its occupants, he was dressed in black jeans, a red t-shirt, boots, and topping it off, a brown leather jacket. His ever present tool belt was buckled around his waist, despite the many protests against it. He looked down at himself and smirked, deciding the torture had been worth it.

Piper looked him over with a satisfied grin. "I wish I could stay for the party, but I need to get back to Camp Jupiter and Jason."

Leo nodded, making a kissing face when she mentioned Jason. She smacked him, but he danced away from her, cackling.

"Have fun." he said, trying not to smirk, but she just smacked him again.

"Hey, I didn't even do anything!" Leo yelped, jumping backwards, and holding his hands up in surrender. Piper rolled her eyes, her hands resting on her hips.

"Thanks for visiting, Pipes. See you later." he said, rubbing where she'd smacked him with an exaggerated wince.

She shook her head at him and waved goodbye as she headed toward the camp border. "Good luck! Remember, don't be an idiot."

"When have I ever been an idiot?" Leo asked innocently.
