Kakashi spent a lot of his free time listening to the videos of Sakura droning on and on about her day. It felt like a breach of privacy to not only the missing girl but the people she had surrounded herself with. Kakashi didn't want to know about the time Ino had gotten caught making out with a boy or the time Naruto nearly lost his hand or that Sasuke, apparently, had a freckle on his left butt cheek.

He had to remind himself that this was all to find her. With that in mind, he takes a long sip of his coffee and presses play.

"The trip is approaching fast and I'm so excited! We finally told Sasuke about it and he was overjoyed. A break was just what he needed from his father -. I just wish that I was feeling better lately, so that I could have been there when they told him in person."

"My mom thinks I should go to the doctor-"

Her mom hadn't mentioned her being sick. Kakashi rubs at his temple absentmindedly. The date of this entry was two weeks before the trip. It was probably nothing if it hadn't been mentioned at any point.

"Ino keeps asking me weird questions about when Sasuke and I made love. I don't really understand why she keeps asking them and has to be so nosey - it's embarrassing!"

Kakashi did not miss his teen years. Glancing at the clock, he lets out a sigh and decides to set her phone down. He had enough time to eat real quick and then he had to pay a visit to the Uzumaki vacation home.

The house was just as ugly in person as it was in the picture that Ino had posted. It was such an obnoxious orange and clashed horrendously with the greenery surrounding it. Kakashi couldn't fathom why they would paint it orange in the middle of the woods. Though, he supposed it would make for a great identifier in the event that it was dark or raining - they would be able to see it no problem without the lights that were posted all around the house.

"No one has been here since the kids left and the staff cleaned it up. That was the day after they had left, I should clarify," Naruto's mother, Kushina, says as she unlocks the door to the front of the house. "Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help your search go smoother."

"I think I'll be fine. Thank you for letting us look around," Kakashi gives her a small smile. He hoped it looked genuine, he didn't smile often and he was very grateful for her allowing them to search the vacation home. However unlikely it may be that there are clues here.

They searched the whole place top to bottom and couldn't find anything. A lot of it, Kakashi was sure, was due to the fact it had been cleaned right after they left. Chances are, she wasn't murdered or kidnapped from here because surely, the cleaners would have notified the Uzumaki's about there being something wrong here. Though, on could never be too sure.

"The house is all good, is there anyway I could possibly talk to the cleaners who were present during the trip and who cleaned it afterwards, too?"

"Yes, of course, I'll find out who was all here and let you know."

"Thank you."

"I'm not feeling any better-"

A knock sounded from his office door before the door was opened. Inoichi is poking his head inside slowly before entering.

"They're ready to be interviewed," Inoichi says and Kakashi nods as he stands up. Together they make their way down to the interrogation rooms. There were four workers total, so they split the work in half in hopes of faster results.

"Did you notice anything strange in the Uzumaki's vacation home while you were cleaning or when the children were there?"

"Nothing out of the sorts. The children seemed to have fun for the most part - outside of the pink haired girl and the dark haired boy. She was sick and things seemed a little tense at times. However, I only saw them a couple of times while I was working - we weren't there very often."

Kakashi eyes the woman, trying to get a read on her and what she was saying.

"Did you happen to overhear anything?"

"No, sir."

Kakashi asked her a couple more questions before deciding to move on. The next person didn't have very much to say either and that was how him and Inoichi found themselves huddled up in his office.

"It seems as though she and Sasuke were going through something around the time that she disappeared. I'm not sure how interlinked that is with her disappearance, but it's something to keep in mind while moving forward." Inoichi hums thoughtfully as they relay the very little information that they got.

"He did mention that they had fought after the trip, right before she disappeared, but he hadn't mentioned anything about there being anything wrong before outside of the fact that she seemed like she wanted to tell him something, but didn't." Kakashi takes a sip from his coffee cup and leans back into his chair. He eyes her phone and where it sits on top of his desk. "I'm about a week away from the trip and Sakura has mentioned not feeling well in her vlogs. I'm wondering if there is a connection there to what the cleaner had mentioned."

"There isn't really much else we can do then, aside from keep listening," Inoichi sighs. Kakashi couldn't blame him. This is his daughter's best friend, after all, and it had been a year.

"Ino wants to go shopping-"

"Ino is forcing me to take this dumb test. I know there is no way for it to be - oh my god."

Kakashi briefly winced at the loud noise that came from the phone. He imagined she must have fell or hit something out of shock. Why she was shocked over some kind of test, he hadn't a clue, but as she broke the silence from her heavy breathing, he figured it out.

"I'm pregnant."

And suddenly her being sick made more sense.

"How am I going to tell Sasuke? My parents - oh my god, his parents -"

She continued rambling on and on. Kakashi tried to pay attention but he had a few people to meet up with before he continued onto the next bit of Sakura's daily rambling.

"Did you know that your daughter was pregnant?"

Mebuki fidgeted in her seat, toying with the cushion sat on her lap. Her husband beside her couldn't hide the surprise on his face. It was clear that he, at least, hadn't known about his daughter.

"I did, but not for long before the trip. We had only gone to the doctor once and she estimated her to be about a month and a half along," Mebuki confessed. "Sakura didn't want you to know just yet, she was scared," she continues as she takes her husband's hand in her own and rubs it gently. Then, she turns to Kakashi. "How did you find out?"

"Her recordings."

Kakashi slowly went down his list of people to talk to. Ino knew, Naruto didn't, their other friends didn't, and that left Sasuke and his family. He wasn't sure how to best go about this. If Sasuke didn't know then he would be finding out that not only is his girlfriend missing, but possibly his baby, too. Or worse, and looking to be more likely, both are dead.

It wasn't the kind of thing Kakashi wanted to get people to think about.

Still, here he was. Once again, sat across from the young and tired looking Uchiha. It seemed every time he met with him, the worst he appeared to be. It broke his heart a little bit, but he quickly pushed it down. The motive and suspects for this case had yet to be narrowed down. It could be anyone.

"Did you know that Sakura Haruno was pregnant?"
