"Whoa!" Flash. "You're doing great, Kia!" Flash. "Sera Vee is gonna be top of the charts after this!"
Kiana Ofuda finished the last pose and flopped on the couch. "Thanks a lot Keisuke."
Mana strode in. "You look great, Kiana."
Kiana flashed a grin at Mana. "Thanks to you, big sis."
Mana made a face. Most uncharacteristic for the cool woman. "Don't call me that."
Kiana's smile faded. "I'm sorry. I'm just so grateful…"
Mana sighed. "Just forget it. Have you been posting a pic to Headspace every day?"
"Yes," Kiana said obediently. "But I don't see why—"
"You'll see soon enough!" Mana snapped again. "I'll see you at the party tonight."
Clack clack.
"Mana has left the building!" Kiana called out. The others in the room relaxed. Kiana flopped back on the couch.
Headspace. It was strange, her picture kept getting prettier and prettier on the app, but Mana kept getting meaner and meaner. And Kia was the longest lasting client she'd ever had, too.
It made no sense.
Kiana got up, stretched, and sighed.
C'est la vie!
