Tessa point of view.
It was the first day of school after summer. And all summer long I have been reading my favourite book. Of course, I have been spending time together with my friends Izzy and Aline. And unfortunately, Kaelie have been trying to hang out with us all summer long as well. Well at least we haven't had to be around Izzy's brother and his friends as they have been at the Fairchild's instead this summer. Which is nice as Will keeps asking me out every time, I see him, and I have told him multiple times that I don't like him like that. but does he listen, no, of course he doesn't. but I feel a little bad about Jon's twin sister that had to be with them all the time. Not that I don't believe she can't protect herself from the guys. She is actually the only other girl at this school that seems like she isn't interested in the guys. Or well also Izzy but she is around other older types of guys instead. "come on Tessa we cant be late for the first day." It was Izzy who said that. we are actually in her car on our way towards the school. I guess we are finally at the school. "sorry this book is just that good." I said and pointed towards the book in my lap. "haven't you read that book a million times already." Aline said. "not a million. But yes, a lot of times." I said and we walked out of the car. "well, the boys should be by our lockers." Izzy said. we nodded and walked over to our lockers. That is the best thing about living in a small city like Alicante. You get to keep the same lockers as the year before. And the kids who just start at this school takes the once the kids who just left had.
"there you girls are." Alec said as he saw us walking over to them. "sorry this one was stuck in her book again. So how was your summer." Izzy said and pointed towards me. we were now at our lockers and the guys was actually on time for once. "we where at Jon's house. And his sister ignored us all summer long." Will said. well, she is a smart girl. "I am sure she didn't ignore you." Aline said and looked only towards Jace. "well, she did say she had a lot of her art this summer. And maybe she spends time together with simon her best friend." Jem said. "Simon haven't been home this summer. His grandma was sick, so he has been in New York." Jon's said. "well can we stop talking about the art freak for maybe a second." Kaelie said. I haven't even notice she was there yet.
Clary point of view.
I am late for my first day at school. How can this even happen. Oh, I know I wanted to be late, so I didn't have to see anyone else. But it seems like everyone had that plan as I walked over to my locker that was beside my brother's, I heard Kaelie say. "well can we stop talking about the art freak for maybe just a second." I didn't even look over at them before I stopped at my looker. Which luckily is a bit away from them. Why would they even talk about me. I didn't even think Kaelie knew who I was. "and why does my best friend look like she has been hit by a train this morning." I heard simon say from behind me. I turned around and smiled at him. "I don't. and how was New York?" I asked. "you do. But that is beside the point. New York was great. Just like nana had described it. It was loud and filed with people going on with there days. And how was your summer." Simon said. "great if you are talking about the fact that I had to avoid my brother and his friends." I said and we started to walk to our first lesson. "your brother isn't that bad." Simon said. "no but most of his friends are god awful people." I said and sat down next to simon by one of the desks in the front. "that is true. But why did you have to avoid them." Simon asked. "because they didn't leave the house and my parents wasn't even home." I said. "well okay." Simon started but before he could the entire gang of the popular people walked in. well luckily the usually sit in the back. And they actually did like the usually does.
"good morning class and welcome back from the summer break. Today's lesson will be the begin of a group project. And I choice the group of four. But one group will be five" Our teacher Mr Starkweather said. he is our teacher in homeroom. Where we usually start every year with an assignment. "first group is Meliorn, Kaelie, Seelie and Bat. Second group is Jonathan, Jem, Will Alec and Jace. Third group is simon, eric, Maia and kirk. And fourth and last group is Isabelle, Clary, Aline, and Tessa." Mr Starkweather said. "and what is the assignment." It was Maia who asked that. "you will have to get to know your fellow group members. You have one month to get this done. And you are allowed to either talk here or at your own place. I have a couple of questions here for you, but you have to think about the rest on your own. And you may begin now." Mr Starkweather said and gave each student a paper with ten questions on it. Well, it nothing I can do about this, so I walked over to the girls who was still at the back with the guys. Well lucky me. "Clary it's so nice to finally speak to you. My name is Tessa and that is Isabelle. And over there is Aline." Tessa said. she is so unlike her other friends. "hi." I said a little shyly. "come on lets go out and talk about this." Isabelle said. I nodded and followed the girls.
We sat down on the bench outside of the school. Where most popular guys sit when the eat food. "so shall we start." Aline asked. "sure, first question is for Aline. Isn't it weird that Mr Starkweather have written down who the question is for?" Tessa started. "maybe a little but he is a weird dude." Isabelle said. well, that is true. "this is for Aline. If you could have any kind of superpower in the world, what would it be." Tessa asked. "super speed so I could run away from Izzy when she wants to bring us to the mall." Aline said. "I am not that bad. And I can go next. Its for Tessa. If you could travel back in time. Which year would you visit first?" Isabelle said. "it has to be 1800th I don't know exactly which year. But in the beginning." Tessa said. I wonder why she would be so fast answering does questions. "Clary it's your turn to answer. Who is your favourite person in the entire world?" Aline said. "my mom she is the one who thought me to be brave and paint. And then its Isabelle's turn to answer. Who is your celebrity crush?" I answered without thinking about it to much. But I did look down on the paper when I asked that one. "Shawn Mendes." Isabelle answered quickly. "well shall we continue this later. Maybe at your house Izzy." Tessa said. "if you are okay with that Clary." Isabelle answers. "of course." I answered.
Jace point of view.
The girls walked out of the classroom and most of the other students followed them. But we stayed behind. "so, who should start" Jon asked. I looked down on the paper and could see that Mr Starkweather had written down all the questions with a name before it. I guess he had planned this all along. "I can start. For Jem. Which superpower would you have if you could choice?" Will said. "I guess teleportation so I can travel anywhere I want whenever I want." Jem answered. That is actually a satisfactory answer. "my turn. For Jace. Who is your favourite person I the world?" Jon said. "I guess my dad. He is the one that teaches me to be so tough and don't take anyone's crap." I answered. I actually didn't have to think to much about that one. "okay. My turn for Jon. Who is your celebrity crush?" Jem said. "Mila Kunis." Jon answered within the first second Jem finished asking his question. "the next one is for Will. if you could time travel back in time which year, would you travel to." I asked. "1960. So, I could see when the Beatles was the biggest." Will answered. "and lastly the question for Alec. What is your dream career?" Jem said. "either as an agent or working for dad at his business." Alec said. "well, I don't think we can finish all the questions today so where we should meet." Jon asked. "maybe your house." I suggested to Jon. "no mom and Luke are coming back, and I don't think they want a bunch off kids at our house. But what about your place Alec." Jon said. "make since. And sure, my house is always open for you. And I think Max will be happy to see you again." Alec said. "great then we will meet there after school. But for know lets go to our next Class." Jem said. we all nodded and walked out of the classroom.
Clary point of view.
The rest of the day everything goes like it have the other days. I ignore almost everyone at school, and they don't bother me. and I like it like that. the only person I actually spend time together with is Simon. he of course has his own friends besides me. and sometimes when I am not in the art room, I eat lunch with them. But for today I felt like being alone in the art room. Where I don't have to see anyone. Which is why I got extra confused as to why Isabelle and Tessa walked into the art room. "so, this is where you are hiding." Isabelle said. "yes, this is the place I feel the most comfortable. Why are you here?" I asked. "we where looking for you at lunch as we are wondering if you wanted to eat with us." Tessa said. "but why me?" I asked. "because you are a smart girl. And I could use another smart girl around that can help me with my problem with Will and Jace." Tessa said. "what is your problem with them. Aren't you all friends." I asked. "we are. But Will keeps asking me out. and Jace. Is well he is Jace as I am sure you understand what that means." Tessa answered. "sure, I guess I can come with you." I said. "good well first you need to take of that hideous apron." Isabelle said. I looked down and saw my apron that was filled with paint stains. I nodded and took it off.
The dragged me outside where my brother, Alec, Jace, Will, Jem, Kaelie and Aline all sat. "told you we would find her." Isabelle said as she sat down next to her brother Alec. I sat down next to her, and Tessa sat down next to me and Aline. "since when are you friends with the art freak." Kaelie asked. I still have no idea why she hates me. "well, she is my sister, and I actually don't like that you call her an art freak." Jonathan said. "but she is an art freak. Let me guess you found her in the art room." Kaelie said. "we did. and stop being mean. Just because someone have another interest then screwing around and playing with guys. Don't mean she is any different than us." Isabelle said. "I don't play with guys. And I have other interest." Kaelie said. for some reason I don't believe her. And no, I am not slut shaming anyone she is just famous at this school for her interest if you can call it that. "cheerleading does count right." Will asked. "see he understands." Kaelie said. "fine then. But anyway. How did your project go." Isabelle said. "good. We only managed to answer one question each." Alec said. "same. But don't you think its weird that Mr Starkweather had signed our names next to the question." I asked. "right. And have you even read some of the question lower down. He gets really weird with them." Jem said. I actually haven't dared reading more then to question three and at question two its already weirder. "so, what questions did you get." Tessa asked mostly towards the boys I assumed and Kaelie. "I got asked who you look up to the most. Or well maybe not exactly like that." Jace said. that is strange that is the same question I was asked. "weird Clary got the same question. What about you Kaelie did someone in your group get that question." Aline said. "maybe I wasn't paying attention." Kaelie said. and just like that the bell rang and we all had to go to class. My next class is English lit.
