Kabuto arrived at last, feeling totally tired, and the extra weight was not helping either.
Sakura was still holding him from the back, and with a sigh, since the good feeling of being touched will be over soon, he formed the hand sings to discharge the genjutsu surrounding the hideout.
He went to the entrance, while being avert to any sounds, but luckily the place seemed deserted. Kabuto went in the direction of his lab, in his mind already deciding where would be her room, when he felt two familiar chakras and stopped.
"Orochimaru-sama" he said, while slightly bowing
The long haired sanin smirked at the sight of him
"I take you were successful" he said, in his slimy voice
"Hai"
"What is Sakura doing here?!" demanded the young boy standing behind Orochimaru
"She's Kabuto's new student" replied the man with a smile
Kabuto, without noticing, leaned a bit back from them, while still feeling the girl's pursing body at his back. Sasuke was looking at him, with clear anger in his eyes, and the grey haired teen didn't need to think too much where his anger was coming from. Too bad that he discovered her first.
Kabuto wasn't blind, in the forest of death he saw the exchanged looks, the touches and worries between the pink haired girl and the Uchiha, Kabuto even heard that she tried to stop him when he left the village, making the sound nins wait. He knew that they had some shared feelings, and if Kabuto wouldn't have discovered Sakura's potential, maybe at some point in the future they would've got together, but that's not the world they were living in now.
"What would he teach her?" came the raspy voice of the black haired boy
Kabuto just frowned and pulled his gaze towards the grinning man.
"She's a good subject for medical training" at this Sasuke's eyes went to the still sleeping girl at Kabuto's back, and he, without wanting, squeezed her thighs.
"I broke my ties with them, and now you are bringing her next to me." said the black haired boy, accusingly.
"If they are as broken as you say, then it won't matter who's next to you" replied back the man with a bigger grin, enjoying the itch in the black eyes.
"She'll train away from you" said Kabuto, and Sasuke frowned, and almost moved to attack him, when the sanin took a step forward
"Sasuke-kun, come" he said, walking towards Kabuto, and giving him a nod. The boy reluctantly followed his new master, while still watching Sakura when he passed them.
Kabuto just continued on his walk, while making study plans in his head, conveniently opposite of Sasuke's schedule, of course by accident.
He put down Sakura on the bed, and while his tired shoulder was happy for the release, he already misses the warmness that no bed or blanket can replace.
The room is halfly lid by the lab green fluorescent light next door, making everything have a slight green tint, including her pink locks spread out on the pillow, in that light looks more faded.
He sighs
By his calculation, she should be awake in less than an hour, and since she didn't eat or drink for nearly two days, and he was running on soldier pills, maybe he should gather some food and water.
The problem was that he was too cautious, especially that he was unlucky enough to run into Sasuke.
So instead, Kabuto summoned the small snake Orochimaru gave him, and while waiting, he grabbed his recent notebook next door from his room, and started scribbling down her study plan.
When he noticed that small stirs and noises coming from her, he was sitting on the ground, at the end of her bed, filling out the sixth page, already finished off 3 onigiris and more than half liter of water.
He looked up at her direction, eagerly waiting, waiting for her sparkling green eyes to open.
"Hmph" she murmured, and scrunched up her nose and bows "Wha-" suddenly the eyes are wide open, looking at the side, confusion then fear in them. When she slowly lifts her gaze to him, he does the same innocent, nice smile as before
She sits up, looking around, panicking, which makes Kabuto sigh again
"Kabuto-san wh-" she cuts herself with her coughing, which reminds him to give her the water, that she takes, eagerly.
She gulps fast, and he needs to take the glass away from her, before she chocks on it.
"Where are we? What happened?" she asks, looking into his eyes.
"I'm gonna train you medical ninjutsu" he says calmly, to which she just blinks, clearly not getting the connection. He just leans back, and lets a smirk come to his lips, shattering the façade he put up in Konoha.
Her eyes widen even more, slowly getting it, and with shaky body, she stumbles back on the bad, looking frightened
"You-..." she point at him, the finger is shaking as well "did you kidnap me?" she almost whispers those words, and Kabuto almost laughs out at it, letting his grin widen.
He enjoys this a bit, but knows that soon he'll need to shed some light on certain details, so he let's his amusement go for a couple of more seconds, before walking to his desk, looking over the notes carelessly.
"We are in Otogakure" he says, looking at her, seeing her body tremble a bit bigger, when the words sunk in.
"Orochimaru..." she whispers, almost to herself, but he nods to it anyway "Sasuke-kun...Sasuke-kun is here, right?" she is asking more bravely, hands almost climbing down from the bed.
Kabuto is inclined to shatter her dreams, that she'll not see Sasuke, he'll make sure of that, but he needs to trick her into wanting to learn with him, so maybe he can exploit this a bit
"Orochimaru is offering you a deal" he lies without a trace in his tone "You become my student, and learn everything, in exchange you get to be in the same place as Sasuke"
"Orochimaru wants to take his body!" she half shouts at him, a sudden anger present in her voice
"Maybe if you learn enough, you'll be able to make yourself a better deal" he says sharply, seeing the shakiness of her body coming back "You have less than three years to prove that"
He watches her, almost seeing the rolls in her head moving, taking in every breadcrumb of information he provides.
A few minutes pass, and the question she is asking is not the one Kabuto expects
"Were you a spy all along?" he nods, seeing her eyes flicker at that "Even when you jumped to save Naruto?" she almost sobs, and Kabuto almost feels guilty
"I didn't lie about one thing" he says, stepping next to the bed, looking down at her with a smile, seeing her surprised expression "With me you can be strong"
