Kabuto opened the door, where he put Sakura before, finding her still on her knees, looking up at him strangely, as if she just got out of a genjutsu. Orochimaru seemed to provoke a strong reaction, and he almost smiled at her lifting hand towards him. She realized herself, and pulled it down in confusion, but it was enough to know how she started to associate him.
With a sigh, he pulled her up by hand, bowing for Orochimaru, then pulling her after him by wrist.
He missed a bit the touch, and let himself enjoy it a while longer, before letting her go on the hallway.
When they got back to the lab, he saw the small dark purple snake in the middle, looking at him.
"Report" he said, while he motioned to Sakura to drink some water from the sink. She still seemed pale.
"Everything worked accordingly, there are troops sent to Rain country, in search of Akatsuki" said the little animal with a trace of Orochimaru's signature speech.
"Good, return to Oorchimaru-sama"
"Hai" the animal puffed away, leaving them behind.
Kabuto lifted up his gaze towards her, thinking about the false lead he planted a few hours before he took her.
It was really easy to put some commoners under genjutsu, making them see the little pink haired girl go out at night, precisely two hours before she really went to him. It was also easy to leave traces of Sasori's real hair, that he acquired since he discovered his corpse in his hideout. It was around the same time they became each other's spies, Kabuto just took the hair, without the redhead noticing it.
Kabuto already made sure, to get a C rank mission with his team, outside of the village, so that gave him at least a few more days.
He even constructed a fake report of Sasori, in a scroll, saying he recently liked to capture young girls.
It was a bit amusing in retrospective. The villages knew so little about some of the members, maybe they don't even know that Akasuna Sasori doesn't even have his real body anymore.
A slight click sound could be heard while Sakura put back the glass in the sink.
Kabuto studied her for a moment, how her shoulders seemed to hunched, how her head lowered. Maybe the meeting with Orochimaru made everything really sink in, how she will not see her village anymore, and how deep she is in this.
It's best to make her attention focus on something else
"Eat something, it's in your room, after that we start" he said, pulling down study materials and a notebook, she came out a few minutes later, still chewing,
"Sit over there, grab a pen" he pointed towards the small table, while he put the notebook in front of her.
She still seemed lost, so he just pulled another chair, to sit next to her, while opening a scroll on basic biology
"If my memory is correct, in academy, you studied biology, right?" she nodded, unsure "We'll review everything today" he said, and started to point at a drawing of a sell.
"Kabuto-sa-" she cut herself, probably not feeling sure how to address him now, he almost chuckled at that, and just motioned her to continue "Can we go over this again? I didn't get everything" she pointed at the description of the parts of human bones.
Kabuto wasn't sure before if he would be a patient teacher, but Sakura seemed like a good student, in this first class, so he didn't feel too annoyed for having to repeat an explanation in a different way.
It was almost 10 pm when they were finished.
Kabuto only knew the time of the day from the clock on the wall, since the rooms were underground, missing the change in the sun.
"At 7 we continue, take these and review it again, I will ask from you" he said, giving her the scrolls that they studied today.
She slowly took it, still unsure a bit, but he could tell some of her interest was back, he'll just need to push it more.
Tomorrow they will finally look at something more interesting, at least he hoped, if she remembers everything from today, then they can move on a faster pace.
He got up, going to his room, to bring her a sleeping shirt, he also went to look for something she could wear tomorrow.
Almost all of his shirts were purple or grey, but he found a light blue one on the back, he didn't even remember were it came from, nevertheless he put it on the pile for her.
He'll need to bring some things anyway from the small room.
He wishes he could leave her totally alone, but Sasuke was good at censing, and if he sees him leaving, even for 5 minutes, he might try to do something.
With a sigh, he went out to the lab, seeing Sakura still at the table, reading and mumbling the material.
"Stop for a bit, we need to pick up some stuff" he said, stepping next to her. She looked up surprised, and only nodded, getting up herself.
He started to walk towards the door, to the hallway, thinking about the things they'll need. He is out of alcohol, needles, and live fish. Yeah, his big tank was empty since the last time her was there. They needed some everyday things too, like shampoos, tissues and blankets.
He also had to arrange for someone to bring their trays of foods, since he didn't plan to go out every time for that.
She was walking next to him silently, and he adjusted the glasses on his nose.
When they reached the small room there was an annoyed Tayuya, who probably didn't like that she was in charge of this for this week.
"What do you want" she asked, not nicely, until she saw the pink haired girl at his back, while she looked inside from above his shoulder.
"I can get it" he said, pulling the girl after him
"Hey, who is this?" asked the red haired girl, while standing up
"Not your business" replied back the silver haired teen, giving Sakura a bag at the same time.
"Does Orochimaru-sama knows?"
"He knows" he replied, giving her a package of toiled papers.
He put in the other things he wanted, when he got at the shower gel shelf.
Oh yeah, he wanted cherry flavor for her.
He picked up two bottles of that, not missing the slight surprise of her eyes.
After this, he went in front of Tayuya, to show everything so she can take notes.
"Is this all?"
"No, I want to arrange someone to bring our breakfasts, lunches and dinners" he said, putting back everything in the bag
"You're not special, what makes you think can just ask something like that?" she asked, tsking.
"Just for a few days until I arrange it differently" he said, and she reluctantly nodded, writing it down.
When they left, he was carrying the bigger bag, while she was holding only the toilet papers.
It felt strangely good.
Is this how domesticity felt with someone?
