The Reunion

Chapter 4: Not Again

An hour later, Quin's heart monitor went off. Burt and Noah were just coming back from getting coffee and saw Kurt curled in a ball on the floor saying, "Not again." repeatedly as Rachel was sitting beside him. Noah calls Beth and lets her hear the doctors trying to save Quinn. Before screaming, "Quinn could die Beth! Are you really going to let your anger keep you from seeing her? You get here now! I have had enough of this!" Then he ends the call and starts throwing things around before bear-hugging Burt and saying, "Please God don't let Quinn die, please!"

When Quinn was finally stabilized Kurt and Noah were lying on each side of her. After a doctor tells them she was in a coma. Neither of them left her side for more than five minutes, and Beth finally came to see Quinn the next day. Noah and Kurt were woken up by the sound of Burt yelling, "Now, you come? When Quinn is in a coma?" Then there was a pause before Burt screamed, "Yes, Like Kurt's Mom!" Then they hear Beth crying before she comes into Quinn's hospital room.

Before she could say a word, Kurt was in her face yelling, "You know, Beth, you have Shelby as a mother! Lucy might never get to know Quinn and may never get to meet her like Rachel did Shelby! I lost Blaine, Beth. I am not going to stand by and let Puck lose Quinn even if he is with me! We asked you several times to come to see Quinn and you have the nerve to wait until she is in a coma! You know, go, get out, leave! You don't want to be here anyway! So, go!" Beth never says a word and just leaves.

Quinn woke up two weeks later and couldn't speak at all now. She was also paralyzed from the waist down. She just stared out at her hospital window and would only let Noah or Burt near her. Likewise, she would have let Kurt near her, but he was too afraid to see her now.

One day, Quinn just started crying as soon as she saw the date on the calendar after Noah came in. She just started throwing things around the room and screaming. Then Noah holds her in his arms and says, "Mr. H is getting some coffee, Mrs. H went with Kurt to see his mom. Okay? Now, calm down please, Quinn. I really don't feel like saying what Kurt used to tell Mr. H right now. Not with you like this."

Then Burt walks in with two cups of coffee and an iced coffee with a spoon. As he handed Noah the iced coffee, he says, "This is for Quinn and the second coffee is for you." Burt then looks at Quinn and says, "Rachel and Santana are making a video for the twins." Quinn rolls her eyes as Burt and Noah chuckle.

An hour later, Kurt comes in and sees Quinn alone, holding Lucy Q, and Burty, as Sarah calls them. As Kurt sat next to Quinn, he says, "I heard about you getting mad earlier, Quinn." Quinn glances at Kurt with a frown on her face before Kurt says, "I heard about you losing your voice completely too. Puck is still training to be a home care nurse. Let's just say you might be the reason he started, but my dad is the reason he wants to finish, and no he didn't tell me that. But come on, if Dad does move in with us. He'll need a nurse and I doubt dad will want me as his nurse." This makes Quinn chuckle as she puts her twins in their incubators before she gets her phone and sends Kurt the picture she sent Burt.

Kurt looks at Quinn and says, "I've seen it already, Quinn. By the way, I found out Dad is loud when he takes Viagra. So, do you want me to buy you earplugs before you go home?" Quinn texts him saying, "Hell, yes! Mr. High F! You better not make my babies deaf with that noise! I mean it, Kurt! And if you say what you would tell your dad! I'm going to smack you!" This makes Kurt chuckle and Quinn hits him anyway.

While Quinn was still in the hospital, Noah was making the house wheelchair accessible with Artie and Tina's help. Tina even apologized for her behavior at the hospital and Artie said, "You're not the only one that yelled at Tina that day we came to see Quinn, Puck. How is she doing by the way?"

Burt comes in as Artie asks and says, "She can't talk at all now and is paralyzed from the waist down, Artie." Then he glares at Tina and asks, "Could you handle never hearing Artie talk again? Or handle him being in an electric wheelchair that helps him talk? Puck might be with Kurt now but that is what they are going to have to deal with. Do you remember how it was for Quinn after her accident, Tina? Now, it will be no different than it is for Artie. The only difference will be she can't talk."

Then Noah storms out and Burt finds him an hour later, staring at Katharine Elizabeth's grave. As he approaches Noah, Noah says, "I came here every day when Quinn was in the coma. Mr. H, do you love Mrs. H as much as you loved her? Because that's how I feel about Kurt and Quinn." Burt looks at the grave as he says, "Yes, Puck, I do."

When they went back to the hospital, they heard Quinn screaming again, and saw Beth was back. Then Rachel says, "Beth, look at her! She can't take care of herself, much less her twins! How can you tell her that being like this is payback for giving you up? Why did you even come back if you didn't want to see her?"

Beth screams, "To tell her she was a bitch for giving me up the way she did and that I meant every word! She was never a mother to me, and I'm glad she can't have more kids! She doesn't deserve to be a mother and should be dead for all I care! I bet that's why God took Kurt's mom because she was a horrible mother for letting her son be gay! Now, leave me alone, Rachel! You got your mom back to yourself I'm done being a part of this family or any family!" Then she storms out crying before Burt and Noah grab her arms. She just spits in Noah's face and screams, "I hope Quinn dies!" Before yanking her arms free and never looking back.

Noah walks into Quinn's hospital room and sees Kurt holding her as they cry together. Soon he hears Beth scream, "Santana, let me go! I don't want to talk to them! Let me go!" Beth hits Quinn's bed and falls to the floor as Santana brings her back into the room.

Then Santana screams, "That is my best friend you fucking little bitch! Now, you tell Quinn and Kurt you are sorry! You've gotten on my last nerve, Beth! I have watched Quinn go through hell! She almost fucking dies twice, and you have been a bitch from day one! If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be here! Me, Shelby, Rachel, Mr. H, and Puck all called you since Quinn was admitted here! But you have been nothing but a fucking little bitch!" Then Santana slaps Beth so hard it leaves a handprint. Before, Beth looks at Quinn and Kurt while she says, "I'm sorry." Kurt says nothing, and Quinn flips her off with both hands.
