Chapter 5: Fears
When Quinn and the twins came home, Quinn stared at Elizabeth's diary again. Then Burt takes her to her room and says, "You're not her, Quinn. Okay?" Quinn is about to get her phone, when Burt says, "Quinn, I know you wish you were dead right now and that you weren't in that wheelchair! Think about your twins here, Quinn! Do you really want Lucy to go to Santana or Rachel for dating advice? Or Little Burt to feel like he has no one to turn to if he gets a girl pregnant? Quinn, you still have a heart, and you are still here. Quinn, I got rid of my gun after Elizabeth died because I was afraid of using it on myself! Or that Kurt would find it and use it! Puck still loves you and doesn't want to lose you. Your twins love you; everyone here loves you just the way you are."
This makes Quinn chuckle, and she texts Kurt saying, "Don't you dare sing that song when I get out of this room!" And texts Burt, "I'm glad neither of us is back in the hospital after that, Mr. H." Burt chuckles and says, "I talked to Beth again last week." Quinn glares at Burt before he says, "Okay, I yelled at her. Or her voicemail rather. She won't talk to anyone, but Rachel, or Santana. Santana lost her voice for a week, yelling at Beth in her voicemail messages to her. Ha, you know, there were times Elizabeth didn't have to talk to me and I knew what was on her mind. I noticed you and Kurt doing that to Puck a lot before your stroke. By the way, the video Santana and Rachel tried to work on. Well, let's just say Brittany is helping Santana now and Rachel is giving Santana the silent treatment." Quinn chuckles then saw the picture of her and Noah when she was pregnant with Beth before breaking down. Soon Noah comes into the room with his guitar and Kurt comes in singing Hero by Mariah Carey.

Quinn signs, "Thank you." Then she texts Rachel saying, "I want you to be there for Lucy, okay? I know, I know, don't talk like that. Just do this for me, please. We both lost a daughter here. Do you really want Santana giving Lucy advice on anything? I don't know how long I got, but you are the only person I know that had two dads, and with me being mute. I doubt she'll want to come to me anyway. I'm sorry for all the stuff I put you through with Finn, and I know why you're not working on the video with Santana. She made a joke about us being a couple, and you didn't like it. No one told me, but I know you and Santana never got along. Even when she lived with you in New York. Ha, you and Kurt weren't friends at first either. Now, lie to Santana and say you're sorry. Or I'll tell Jesse that you gave Puck a blowjob or something."
A week later, Quinn awoke in the middle of the night to the bed, being wet, and fell out of bed trying to reach for the bell Noah had put in her room. Later, when she woke up in the hospital, she saw Burt standing by her bed. Then he says, "You better be glad Puck and I got up to check on you seconds before you fell out of bed. Carole washed your sheets, and Kurt is ordering a hospital bed as we speak."
Then Noah comes in holding Lucy and says, "Ha, I only brought her because I thought it would take some stress off Kurt." Burt and Quinn just smirk at each other, and Quinn makes a whipping motion. Noah just stares at Lucy and says, "You might not think that in thirteen years, Quinn. By the way, I know about your text to Rachel and Santana saw through the lie. They did make up though after Mr. H yelled at them."
Soon, Noah puts on a hat like Burt's and says, "I mean, Mr. P had a nice chat with them about what idiots they were being." Quinn has Noah give Lucy to her and has Burt stand next to Noah. Then she takes a picture with her phone and posts it on Facebook with the caption, "Fell out of bed, and now I'm seeing double. Which one is Puck, and which one is Mr. H? Ha, Mrs. H, you better be thankful Norah is not with Mr. H right now."
Kurt comments, saying, "That is the first time Puck has worn that hat outside the house. Quinn, I talked to Santana and Rachel, the fight was over something else. But I don't want to upset you or Puck by saying anything. Let's just say Rachel still thinks history will repeat itself again, and now I'm not speaking to Rachel." Then Burt grabs Quinn's cell and calls Rachel before yelling, "Rachel, Quinn is stronger than Elizabeth, and she will live! Now, I'm sure you don't want me to hand Quinn's phone to Puck right now!" Rachel says nothing and just ended the call. Then Quinn grabs Burt's hand and squeezes it.
