Her white long white dress covered almost the entire aisle and was illuminated by rays of sunshine that shone through the clear windows of the church. The audience took a stand, smiling from ear to ear as the bride passed them, giving each and everyone of them a piece of her angel like smile. Everyone could not have been happier. The two lovebirds from middle school were finally together. Their families - tight friends - had expected it, and waited for an eternity for this very day. The only who didn't smile that day, Kenji Futakuchi.
He stood amongst his older sister, parents and other relatives. Kenji stared at his older sister who stood in front of him, clapping. She was only shorter by an inch, yet older by three years. The twins, his older brother and his older sister, had graduated not long before. And Kei Futakuchi had been quick to propose as soon as he'd gotten out of school. Kaede Futakuchi, on the other hand, was still playing with her boyfriend, Aokiji-kun. Not doing much about their possible future together. That's what it seemed like, anyway.
When they neared the ceremony, the master cleared his throat for the most paramount words of the wedding. "Futakuchi Kei! Do you pledge take Sayo Kokoro as your wife and swear your life to her, until death do you apart?"
The tall, broad chested male's stood proud and his smile was never happier. His brown hair that were the same as all of siblings, glinted in the sunlight, as if fairies had dawned upon him. Kenji's mouth caught on his throat. "I do."
"And Sayo Kokoro! Do you pledge to take Futakuchi Kei as your husband and swear your life to him, until death do you apart?"
"I do," her high pitched voice resounded across the church. Relatives and friends swooned at the perfect couple but Kenji only felt like throwing up.
"You may kiss the bride!" They grabbed hold of each other urgently and their mouths melted into one, their tongues playing with each other, before they let go reluctantly.

The feast was a flurry of laughing and cheer as people danced, talked, took photos and captured the moments that would be remembered forever. The waiters rushed to serve the high quality food they were known to serve. Including lobsters, Kenji's favourite wedding food, but he could not stomach the idea of eating.
His sister was in a tight dark blue dress, as dark as the night sky. But the sakura sequins sewn on to the fabric, shone like stars. Though it stuck to her and squeezed her stomach, she still found the capability to stuff her mouth and stomach full of food. Her favourite hobby, if you haven't guessed, is eating.
"Ken-chan, what are you doing not eating? The food is delicious. And I thought lobster was your favourite. You're really wasting this great food," Kaede urged as she wiped her mouth with a napkin. She was quite a slim and tall figure, much like the rest of the family. But the amount she could eat topped everyone.
Kenji shrugged. "I'm not hungry," he muttered. The food was delicious, but he just couldn't. Even the smell was making him nauseous. So he stood up and resorted to his last resolution. "I'm going to go out and get some fresh air or something. This place is kinda stuffy," he announced bitterly.
As he walked away, Kaede watched her younger brother walk away. She blinked and sighed, putting down her fork. He was usually such a bratty, salty person. But today, he was too mellow for her twin brother's wedding. Shouldn't he be teasing Kei-chan or something?
Rubbing her belly, wondering if she could fit any more food in, Kaede stood up and followed her disappearing brother. He vanished to the vacant balcony.

Kenji scowled, gritting his teeth and hit his hand on the railing aggressively. An image of his brother flickered in his brain and his hand tightened around the wooden railing. Kenji's heart squeezed.
"ARGH! AAARRGH!" He shouted in anger as he went on, bashing his hand on the railing. Unleashing his emotions on his hand and railing.
Why... Why? Why?! Nii-san... Why?!
Just as he pulled his hand to punch the railing again, he felt a cold hand wrap around his arm, stopping him.
Kenji's heavy breathing stopped and slowed, turning shallow. When he calmed down, he felt the hand loosen. Kenji looked towards the owner of the hand and clenched his jaw as his older sister's warm, deep eyes stared into his own.
"Ken-chan... You're so stupid," she remarked, clicking her tongue condescendingly.
His shocked face melted into an unimpressed expression and he sighed. "Oh, shut up, Nee-san," he grumbled.
The three siblings were not too different. All were stubborn but Kei was probably the calmest and the least bratty. He had always been the calm middle of the tornado while Kaede and Kenji fought and shared snappy comebacks. They were both cocky and witty, quick with roasts and comebacks. Kaede was the one who had influenced Kenji. Though their roast battles always ended with Kei having the last word. He was the smart one.
"Oh come on. You ruined my dinner already, Ken-chan. You might as well tell me what's wrong," Kaede tutted.
Kenji bit his lip and looked away. "You can go back to your food if you like; there's nothing wrong here," he snapped sourly.
Kaede knew it was the only thing she could do. Pulling her arm back and rolling her fists, she drove her rock hard fist into his ribs in a punch.
"Ow!" He yelped, rubbing the spot painfully. "Can you stop it already?!"
"Can you stop ruining Kei-chan's special day? You're being really selfish, if you ask me," she scorned. "Now that I think about it, you're jealous. Aren't you? About this whole wedding thing... You want your own, right?"
Kenji widened his eyes and began to protest. "What?! No! Th-That's not true," he stuttered angrily. "I don't want a wedding of my own! Well... Not yet anyway.."
"So there is someone?" She prodded him with a slender, sharp finger. She knew how to press her brother's buttons.
Kenji sighed exasperatedly. "No! Yes! Maybe! I don't know! But that's not the problem! I'm just scared of losing Nii-san, that's the problem here. Not jealousy or whatever crazy thing you're thinking," he blurted out.
Kaede pat her brother's back and hid a smile. "Thanks for telling me. It saves me a lot of time. Ken-chan... I know what you're saying. But Ken-chan, I'm his twin sister." Kaede smiled sadly.
"Don't you think it would hurt more for me? Seeing him with another girl that isn't me?," she continued, "It does, Ken-chan But because I love him, I want his happiness over mine. And if she makes him happy, then so be it. Honestly, I'm jealous too. And so are you. But that's because we're so close and we love him. Ken-chan, he won't leave you. He's still going to be your brother. I know Kei-chan, and I also know that he won't leave his family just like that."
Kaede reached for his hand, "I'm happy right now, because Kei-chan is. You should be too. Because he won't leave you. Women marry into the family. So your brother is still going to be part of our family. But so will Kokoro-san."
Blinking away his tears forcefully, he grabbed on to his sister tightly. "I guess. But doesn't that mean," Kenji paused and dug his nails into his sister's hands and shouted angrily, "That you'll be married off into another family too? Nee-san! That means you'll go too!"
A shadowed figure appeared into the moonlight, his smile grave and his expression sad. "She already is."
Kenji stared at the male. He was the same height as him and wore a pearly white suit with a flower in his chest pocket. His eyes were deep and much like his sister's warm ones. If they were fraternal twins with barely a hint of similarities, their eyes would be an exception.
"Nii-san...? What do you mean-" Kenji's eyes darted back to his sister, who looked away shamefully. Sometimes, his older siblings seemed to know things that he didn't and they seemed to share thoughts. That was when he felt the most left out. And this was one of those times. "Nee-san?"
"Kei-chan..." Kaede muttered angrily.
Kei stood next to his brother, putting a hand on Kenji's shoulder. "You need to understand; life brings changes and things will be different the more you grow up. But some things will be unchanging. Like our siblingship. We will always be the Futakuchi siblings," he said softly.
Kenji's eyes darted around in fear as he let go of his sister's arms. "Nee-san. You're engaged? And you didn't tell us?! Nee-san!"
"Do you think I didn't notice you being so glum and sad?! Of course I did! I'm your sister, damn it! That's why I didn't say anything to anyone! I didn't want to make you even more upset, Ken-chan...!" she blurted out, tears in her eyes. "I don't know what's happening anymore! Kei-chan is getting married off, starting a new family and all that, and then suddenly Aokiji-kun proposes to me. And I love him so of course I agreed but everyone was so caught up with Kei-chan's wedding and Ken-chan was being so upset- I didn't know what to do!"
Kei's heart hurt as he saw his two siblings, both upset and with tears. Just when this was supposed to be his special day- He stopped. No, his family was more important. His siblings whom he loved and grew up with, was more important than anything.
He looked to his sister, whose eyes were downcast. "I'm sorry you felt that way, Ka-chan. You should've said something. Just because of all this... you shouldn't keep it in like this!" he said before turning to his little brother who bit his lip in guilt. "And I'm sorry all this was hard for you, Ken-chan. But we'll always be here for you, even if we're miles away with a new family."
"I'm so sorry," Kenji mumbled, "I really am. I was being selfish, just like Nee-san said and... I couldn't stand the thought of you going away. I'm sorry, Nii-san."
"No, I'm sorry! I'm the one who brought this whole mess. I was the one who kept all the secrets in about Aokiji-kun and then ruining your day like this, Kei-chan. I'm really sorry. To both of you," Kaede said.
Kei pulled them both into a hug, in which they remained. "Oh stop it, you two. Seeing you like this is kinda creepy. Go back to being your annoying selves already," he said.
