Erwin lifted his eyes to gaze at his rather late-night companion. He was not too surprised to see them there, no, not with all that had happened in recent months. They chose such a late hour to come to his office, looking lost, nervous. It was almost as if they were scared of something, which he was well aware was not uncommon of late for them. Narrowing his eyes as he contemplated what they had said, he set his pen down on the documents he had been signing.

"Are you sure about this?"

The way his companion looked at him, those eyes cold, unrelenting, let him know the answer. But seeing them nod their head solemnly at him in answer was more than enough. Leaning back, Erwin let out a long sigh as he suddenly felt tired.

"Then I won't stop you. I have one request of you."

The way their body stiffened as their eyes became guarded while not moving. To his eyes, it looked as if they were not breathing, but he knew better. They were a survivor, a fighter through and through. The past few months since Reiner and Bertolt had betrayed them and been found out as the Armored and Colossal titans. Retrieving Eren Yeager and Kagome.

"What would you have me do, Rīdā?"

He couldn't help but smile at the response. Erwin knew there was nothing but truth and honesty in that simple statement. Hell, since losing his arm in that retrieval, he had taken to more desk work.

"I want you to tell him about your decision."

The shock that morphed the wary face had him smiling wider. This was not something he would interfere with. Besides, Kagome was Levi's responsibility. The poor bastard had brought her here over half a year ago against her will after she had helped his squad. Then again, her story had been fantastic and proven true with her own unique abilities that didn't even exist in this world. And she had shown them a new way to fight and train.

Yes, Erwin would respect what she had chosen for herself. In a way, he could understand how and why she had come to that conclusion. Though, Erwin was sure that Levi would be exceptionally pissed with it. Even though he wasn't happy about it, but the proof was there; she survived almost 10 years before being brought into the city, she would be fine. And she was leaving her adoptive son in his care. Which was another thing he could mentally preen about. Shippo had been clear that hey would join the survey corps afterward, wanting to be put under Levi's command.

"If that is what you want, I will do this," Kagome whispered, her words filled with more emotion than he had heard since she came out of her fugue state. "It is only fair for me to tell the Yowamushi(coward/weakling)."

Erwin felt his eyebrows crawl upon his forehead. Yeah, he wasn't going to touch that one. The way Kagome said that word. His suspicions he'd continue to keep to himself. Making him wonder if Kagome wasn't what she was called Levi. Slowly he nodded his head and finally got a small, soft genuine smile from her. They were rare, but with the trauma she was made to go through, forcing old memories to surface and have to live through again, he wouldn't be grudge her.

Now that Historia was on the throne and made Queen, things were moving at an incredible speed. And that didn't take any of the light from Kagome in the eyes of the other government officials and military factions. They were still snooping after she had ripped them to shred with her sword-sharp tongue. He watched as she bowed before spinning and leaving his office. Silently he wished her the best of luck in dealing with Levi. As well as Levi the best of luck, because Kagome had shocked him when she stepped into the office. In fact, he didn't want her to leave. She was a distraction he welcomed with how she had presented herself.

Levi was slightly annoyed; it was late. And he had tons of paperwork to catch up on. The need to write up several reports dating back to the beginning of what happened in Trost District to planting Historia (the rightful heir) on the throne had kept him all day in the damn office. And it wouldn't be wrong to describe him as borderline murderous. When the knock came again, he took note that it was soft, polite. He knew that knock and sighed. It had become almost routine when he was here that Kagome would come to visit if she couldn't sleep.

"Enter!"

Taking a deep breath, Levi paused in mid-sentence long enough to point at his couch. Once he heard the soft, almost silent padding of his guest moving, he went back to filling out the reports and signing them. This was the part of his job he hated with almost every fiber of his being. Staying focused to slog through the mess was the best way to tackle this, or that was what he kept telling himself.

Unsure of how long he had been at it, Levi glanced up to look at his guest. He felt his body freeze when he saw that Kagome was standing before his desk, hands clasped before and looking as if she was about to bolt. Slowly Levi let his eyes rake over her body, head to toe and back again. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, so he blinked his eyes a few times. Yet, the image didn't change. The damn woman looked human and decent.

"Why are you standing there like an idiot?"

His words flew from his mouth quickly and harshly because he was having a hard time remaining neutral. Nope, he didn't know what kind of game Kagome was playing coming into his office dressed like she was. It was as if he didn't know her? She always wore men's clothes that were fairly form-fitting and hid her gender. Not that everyone didn't know she was a woman already. Ridiculous, in his opinion.

"I need to talk to you, Levi."

Giving his head a quick shake as he stood up, narrowing his eyes on her as he spoke, "Excuse me? What game are you playing, Kagome? I am not finding this amusing."

The way her eyes widened before narrowing in response had Levi relaxing. Provoking her would be the best because he wasn't going to be strung along by her teasing. Which had come few and far between in the past few months, but yet again, he knew she trusted him and felt safe around him, which was a fool's mistake.

"I am not playing a game. I need to talk to you, Levi."

This time Levi knew he couldn't say he misheard. She said his name clearly. Though the way she was now fidgeting under his gaze, twisting her hands together. There was no mistaking that Kagome was nervous and serious at the same time. Being cautious, Levi walked around his desk and towards her. Only to be surprised when he got within arms reach that Kagome stepped back, her face going very red as she looked away from him. It bothered him that she was acting as if she was scared of him. So he continued to walk towards her until Kagome was backed against the wall between the couch and his bedroom door.

"Really? What could you have to tell me this late at night, Kagome? I am a busy man and don't like my time wasted."

The sight of her swallowing as her nostrils flared as he leaned into her personal space had him feeling curious. This was at odds with her personality. Ever since he brought her within the wall and to the Headquarters, she had been brash, outspoken, and plain insulting to him. However, she did as she was instructed without complaint. Kept his office and area clean and was nurturing to those in his squad.

"I am well aware, Levi. But this is important, and I need to speak to you."

Her words were soft, barely audible as she spoke. The way his name came out as a whisper, that seemed to caress his chin and neck. It made him very aware that he was not much taller than her. And he was human, thus prone to having reactions. Levi would never admit it to anyone, even on pain of death, or in that damnable circle of truth... before biting off his own tongue. But he respected Kagome, and he returned the trust she gave him. And yes, he would die knowing what she looked like without clothes on since it got him attacked with a rinse bucket and kicked in his nethers.

Yet, right now, everything he suppressed was surfacing as he glared down at her. Taking note that her face was flushed now, pupils dilated as her breathing became fast and heavy. Knowing he should put space between them, Levi didn't want to hear what she had to say. His instincts were warning him; it was not something he wanted to know, let alone hear. And Levi also knew his instincts were clamoring for him to do something that was beyond his normal character. A thing he had been fighting since he first sparred with Kagome in the training grounds.

He knew she was strong in many ways, had kept up with him, and helped him further hone his own deadly edge. At the same time, challenging him and defying him time again by teasing him, mocking him. His pride had taken a few blows from this petite woman he had pinned to the wall. Kagome stirred things in him; he didn't want to acknowledge. Things that would distract him and make him weak. Levi knew this.

"Levi?"

Closing his eyes as he let a low growl escape, Levi lifted his hand and grasped her chin, squeezing it, knowing he was causing pain.

"I am in a foul mood, Kagome. I have no patience. And right now, you are vulnerable, and I can hurt you."

He was trying to give an out, but whether it was for her or himself, he didn't know. So, when Kagome's hands came up and pulled his hands from her chin, only to rest it against her throat, he felt shocked and awe. There was no mistaking that message as her body relaxed visibly. She was telling him she was aware of and trusting him with her life. The rapid beat of her pulse under his fingertips snapped the last of his patience and control.

"Fine. It is your own fault."

His words sounded foreign to his own ears as he watched Kagome's eyes go wide before he sealed her lips with his own. Erwin, Hange, and several others had joked that there was tension between them with their opposing personalities. But that wasn't the whole truth, no. Some of the tension was frustration of a sexual nature. Hell, Hange, drunk one night, had told him to fuck Kagome and get it over with or kill her. The latter was not an option. And at the time, he was repulsed by the first.

The moment Levi felt Kagome's pulse spike as her body softened under his, Levi felt lost. He was not a delicate man, no he was a warrior, a survivor like her, but he was also a murderer and didn't hesitate. This was all her fault. She should have run; he was a beast, and she the prey. Whether he, no, they, would regret it would be for the morning.

Not giving an inch, he deepened the kiss, his tongue seeking entrance into her mouth with force as he wrapped his other arm around Kagome's waist. Intent on dominating her, enjoying that, she responded by shifting her hands to grasp his hips, pulling him closer to her. The warmth from her body seeped into his own and only seemed to fuel Levi. However, it was obvious that she was a virgin with how she seemed to fumble by matching how he kissed her. Meaning he would be the first to leave a mark on her.

Not breaking the kiss, Levi shifted his hand from her waist until it was under her ass and lifted her, making Kagome squeak in surprise. All while he slid his hand from her neck to cup the back of her head as he shifted her body away from the wall. He would have chuckled when her legs wrapped immediately around his hips, but the feel of her being pressed even more intimately to him had him moaning lightly as he shot a leg out and nudged his door open. There was only one thing on his mind, and nothing was going to stop them.

The moment he had her on her back on his bed, Levi had one arm propping him up, while the other was untying the laces at the front of her yellow muslin smock. A part of him was still confused why she would wear a smock with no shirt underneath, revealing the most flesh he had seen of her body since he had stormed into the communal showers. Grinding when he gave a sharp tug to the single leather lace, pulling it from the eyeholes and causing the front of the smock to fall open. The sight of pale yet flushed mounds tipped with dusky pink tips had Levi looking into Kagome's eyes and smiling at her.

When her face darkened in the faint moonlight that shone through his room's only window as her arms came up to cover her breasts. It was the action of an embarrassed innocent, and it had him frowning as he took his free hand, still holding the leather lacing, and grasped her wrist. Not wanting to hurt her badly, he pulled them over her head and held them there, all while lowering his head and nipping painfully at the valley between the now exposed soft peaks.

The sharp gasp of shock and pain had him grinning as he let his tongue slip out and lap lightly at the mark. Then, taking his time, Levi trailed his tongue up the side until it brushed against the pert peak and drew it into his mouth. The way Kagome's body arched up under his, pressing more firmly against him as he felt the heels of her feet dig into the back of his thighs as she moaned rather throatily. It all just encouraged him as he suckled harder, nipping lightly at the bud in his mouth, eliciting more sounds of pleasure from her as her hips began to rock against him.

His mind tried to recall the last time he sought release through flesh, his mind pulling up a blank, meaning it had to be more than a few years. And with the willing woman under him, Levi knew he probably wouldn't last long, so the need to savor it. Draw as much out of her as her innocent body would allow had him pulling his head back, releasing her breast with a loud and slightly wet pop. His eyes meeting hers, seeing they were half-lidded, as her tongue darted out to swipe along her very swollen bottom lip.

Sitting back, Levi didn't hesitate to use the arm that had been propping him up to start and remove his clothes. The way Kagome's eyes seemed to become transfixed on what he was doing allowed Levi to release her wrist and divest himself of his clothes quicker.

"Levi!"

The way shock and need colored her voice as it hissed from her lips as he finished made him give her a toothy smile. It spurred him on, making him rush the rest of the way until he was nude and above her as he let her eyes drink in the sight of him. All while Levi let a second go by. His hands slid along her legs until they were under the skirt of her dress and on her thighs. Giving a light push, he found her legs fell away from him easily. Her body shuddering at his touch as he shifted and nestled himself back at the apex between her thighs, relishing in the heat of her core.

His voice was a soft growl as he bent over her, stopping when his lips barely brushed hers, "No turning back. No stopping."

Those words came out in a deep rumble to his ears as he let his head drop those few centimeters and capture her lips again. Soon his hips were rocking against her core, causing her to respond before he pulled back enough, using a hand to guide himself to her entrance. There would be no slow and gentle as he felt her stiffen as he began to push into her, stretching her around him.

Knowing that she might fight back, Levi deepened the kiss, shifted his hands back to her thighs, and plowed ahead. When he was fully seated, his nose catching the faintest hint of copper on the air, he waited. He'd seen enough in the underground in his childhood, knew well enough that one bad experience could ruin it for one or both people. He'd do his best to be patient for Kagome to signal she was okay, which came quicker than he had thought when her hips rolled against his, and he felt Kagome relax under him. It was all the response he needed before setting a face, almost brutal pace.

Kagome opened her eyes; her body was sore all over. Then images began to flash through her mind causing her to feel as if her face and ears were on fire. What had she done? Why had she done it? Did she regret it? No, she could honestly say that she didn't think it would end up like this, considering what she thought that Levi had thought about her. Still, she had given in because she knew how she felt. Kagome had gone and done the one thing she didn't want to, got attached to the people of the Survey Squad and their obstinate, OCD-freak of a Captain. A man who reminded her in many ways of each of her traveling companions.

It hurt her heart as she turned her head to look at him, the faint light of the setting moon and first rays of sunlight highlighting his stocky and muscular body. Kagome shifted her body from under his arm with great care as he frowned and snuggled (cutely in her opinion) deeper into the soft mattress. Closing her eyes, taking a deep breath, and steeling herself, Kagome lifted his arm from her waist and slid to the edge of the bed. Careful to set Levi's arm back down, watching as he pulled it under the pillow, his head was resting on, making her fight to keep from laughing aloud.

Giving a small shake of her head, Kagome stood up and flinched as her legs wobbled and a dull ache throbbed from between her thighs. Letting her eyes dart around the partially lit room, Kagome found her dress easily and pulled it on before frowning and having to search more carefully for her socks, shoes, and the leather lacing to hold the front of her dress shut. Kagome had to be quick; the guards on duty would be doing their change soon enough, giving her and Kilala enough time to leave.

It took a bit longer than she wanted, not finding the leather lacing, so she stole a shoelace from one of Levi's dress shoes. A fitting memento in her mind as she silently made her way to the door and looked back at him. The man had been a constant thorn in her side, and it had been fun to tease and needle him. At some point, she had come to see him as a friend, confidant, and trusted person.

"Good-bye, Levi. Please, stay safe and alive," she whispered as she paused at the door between his room and office. "I will miss you, but I have to leave. I cannot stay here with the chaos going on. It is for my mental and emotional safety."

With those words, she strode into the office and to his office door, threading his shoelace through the eye holes on the bodice of the dress. Internally grumbling at the difficulty from holding her socks and shoes. A part of her was still mortified that she had gone about without panties, but if she hands, they'd be ripped and unusable, tangible proof that she had been under Levi. Panting, moaning, and at points screaming his name as he mastered body in a dance of dominance.

The sounds of people shuffling in the barrack rooms and the showers hadKagome moving a bit faster and hiding at intervals to avoid those that were switching with the night shift. Dawn was fast approaching, and she could feel Kilala and Shippo down in the stable yard. The time to leave was now.
