"Ugh I hate my eyes!" Izzy shouted, slopping onto the sofa lazily.
"Everyone has beautiful eyes! Like, Cubby, your eyes are blue! The color of the sky and sea! And Jake, your eyes are hazel! It's like, gold! And I'm here with stupid poop brown eyes" she complained. She has hated her brown eyes for so long. She always thought that they were just too bland and boring.
"That's not true, Izzy... You have good eyes too" Skully said, from behind her.
"You're just saying that to comfort me, Skully"
Hearing this from beside her, Jake moved closer.
"Izzy, c'mon! It gets me so much that all this time, nobody ever bothered to tell you that your eyes aren't brown.
They're like, copper against honey and sage. And when they're filled with water, they glow. Your eyes're the same shade as nature after it rains.
You're not as simple as they wanted you to be, you know" he said.
His voice was full of passion and love. He was angry that this amazing, beautiful girl ever doubted herself. He has always noticed little things about her. Like how her eyes were like rich chocolate and soft as fur when she was happy, but when crossed, quickly became the rocks the ships shattered against in the storm.
"J-Jake... That's... That's really sweet..." Izzy replied. She was dumbfounded that the same person who always goofed around and had fun was spitting out these words. These words, that mattered so much to her.
Ever since then, Izzy always loved and appreciated her eyes. And ever since then, she started noticing Jake's eyes.
Once, when they were sitting on the sofa and laughing about something, Izzy's eyes darted towards him. There, she saw it. When the light hit his eyes just right, she saw mesmerizing specks of green in his eyes. She saw how whenever he smiled, his eyes shone like the morning sun. Did Jake always have unfairly pretty eyes?
It made her feel a certain way.

Anyways, I'm not that great at writing romance (heck I don't even know if I'm good at writing at all lol) but I hope you like this! I dunno if it seems cringey? Or maybe too cheesy? But in my mind its cute! I saw this in Pinterest and my mind went straight to my otp!
