It was yet another normal morning in Pirate Island. Or, as normal as it could get there.

"Morning, Jake" said Cubby, walking into the kitchen with Skully on his shoulder. He had just finished showering before coming to the kitchen to get breakfast.

"Izzy still sleeping?" asked Jake, after wishing Cubby and Skully a fine morning.

"Yeah, she was up pretty late working on some potion that she found in one of her books" Skully replied, before looking over to see what Jake was doing.

"W-What are you doing?" Cubby asked, a feeling of worry and confusion. He and Skully were staring at Jake, who was pouring some kind of white powder, probably sugar, into a bowl.

"Oh nothing... Just a harmless prank. You know how Izzy always drinks coffee right after she brushes her teeth?" Jake asked, still not looking away from the counter.

"Yeah..." Skully replied suspiciously.

"And you know how she adds a mountain of sugar into her coffee?" he asked.

"Mhm..." Cubby replied. But then he understood where he was going. "Jake, no..."

"What're you gonna do?" Skully asked, seeing the look on Cubby's face.

"I'm gonna switch the sugar with salt!" said Jake, starting to laugh like a maniac.

"Oh my goodness... I swear, you are so childish" Skully scolded.

"I don't think this is gonna end well" said Cubby worriedly.

"It's payback to Izzy for pouring cold water onto me while I was sleeping" Jake reasoned, finishing his quest of pouring the salt into the sugar pot without spilling even a bit.

"You literally told her to do that," said Cubby.

"No, I didn't" said Jake, closing the cap of the pot.

"Yes, you did. You had to get up early to go help out around town and you told her that she could pour ice cold water on you if you didn't wake up" said Skully, thinking back to that night.

"Well, I didn't mean it!" Jake called.

"Jake... I really don't like this idea of yours..." said Cubby, thinking of all the possible things Izzy would do to Jake if this plan went through. And the list looked long and scary.

"Wait, no. I wanna see what's going to happen" said Skully, genuinely curious. And a bit excited too, but he didn't show it on his face.

And so, they waited. With Cubby trying to get Jake to stop, and Skully finishing half the supply of crackers.

Usually, Izzy wakes up at around 8 a.m. to 8:30, but today she woke up at 11. She was not used to this sleeping pattern. She looked like a cross between a zombie who just finished puking human guts and a dog who had a bad day at the parlor. So basically, she looked like me on a Monday morning. And she felt even worse.

She went into the bathroom, grabbed her tooth brush, and her face wash, and almost put that on the brush instead of toothpaste. Happens to everyone, even me. After brushing her teeth, she went to the kitchen. Remember, she was still half-asleep.

When she entered the room, the other three were seated on the sofa. What she didn't know was that they were waiting for her. And what she didn't notice was the evil look on Jake's face, the worried look on Cubby's face and the amused look on Skully's face.

She did her morning routine, grabbed the milk, grabbed the coffee powder, boiled the milk, added the

coffee powder, took it off the stove and added the sugar. Well, what she thought was the sugar. When she started adding the sugar, which really was a mountain of it, Jake started snickering. But she didn't notice it. Cubby started hiding behind the cushions, and she didn't notice that either.

After stirring it, she started drinking. Jake could barely hold back his laughter, and he had tears in his eyes. Then he couldn't hold it in anymore, he burst out laughing. His hand was over his stomach, and his other hand was wiping actual tears from his eyes until he realized.

Izzy was staring. No, she was glaring. Death glaring. At him. If looks could kill, he would've been dead already. And not only was she giving him a piercing look, she was gulping down that 16 oz of salty coffee without skipping a beat because what is weakness.

Jake's expression went from rolling on the floor laughing his butt off to "oh no I messed up" in under seconds. Oh, the power she held, right?

Meanwhile, Skully was happily observing while popping a cracker into his mouth every now and then. Cubby, being the pure ball he is, was praying to God that he got Jake back alive.

"Mm... Delicious" Izzy said, in the most annoyed and deadass tone ever as she finished up her coffee.

Jake, hearing this ran off screaming to who knows where because he knew that he was about to see the heavens.

And returned in the evening just in time for coffee. Yay.

Author's note:

Hello, hello, hello!

First of all, I don't know what I was even doing when I wrote this. Seriously. I was sleepy but I wanted to write, so this happened. I'm scared of writing comedy because what if no one thinks it's funny? So please, oh please let me know if you like it.

Second, I would like to tell you to NEVER drink whatever Izzy drank. She's crazy and had a stomach ache the other day. Really, it's bad for your digestive system.

Third, this idea was taken from Pinterest! Like, the whole thing. A lot of things I write sometimes or even some ideas I want to write are from Pinterest, so if you feel like you've seen this before, that's the explanation.

Oh and btw, read all the narration in like, a boring-ish "I'm so done with everything" tone cuz that's how I wrote it and imagined it. :)

Hope you have a good day! See ya!
