StevenZ12: Good evening y'all, I hope that you are doing well. For my part it has been going pretty well indeed. University and work are taking a lot of my time but i am finding real happiness in powering through them. Gotta say that while these are trying times for everyone, it does help people find a side of em that they wouldn't have been to find in a normal setting. Maybe it's the optimist in me talking lol. I am happy to see that i my humble story has passed 2000 reads once more. Small milestones like that really keep me goin'. Shoutout to BadmeEvil for being the latest favorite. I am glad that you like this story so far and hope that you will enjoy what's to come. Seeing that the 25th Pokemon anniversary is right around the corner, i would like to take the time to thank all of you who have contributed to make Pokemon the experience it has been for me and for many many more people around the world. I always say that the games and anime is fun and all, but one has never fully enjoyed Pokemon at its fullest unless they have delved into the realm of fanmade games, rom hacks, fan art and fanfiction. They really really expand your world and while its obviously not "canon" material, you can't help but appreciate a new take on said story or said game. To all of you, I say, thank you. Without any further ado, I welcome you to the Pueblo Arc. Enjoy your read and have fun.
Previously on Nuevo: Andre, Sven and Snow have entered the forest of illusion on their way to Pueblo Leaf Grove, their next destination. The result of that little skirmish involved a small tricky fox Pokemon joining Snow's team. What adventure awaits our heroes out here in Nuevo? Stay tuned and read to find out!
Chapter 22: El Conquistador
Route 6 was a pleasent meadow like route. A large lake could be observed trailing the path, being home to many species of Pokemon. Some colorful, some wonderful, the whole route was just full of life. The sight would have madr anyone stop and contemplate their life up to that point...
This was however not what was on this fellow's mind...
"Coltergeist, trample him with all of your might!" Shouted a voice that was conveying a command denuded from any mercy.
The colt Pokemon recipient of this command looked blankly at its target, a small and innocent blue canine Pokemon that looked battered and absolutely terrified of the colt Pokemon. Said colt shook his head imperceptibly before raising himself on his hind legs, ghosty hooves ready to be brough down at a moment's notice. The mare cub simply looked in pity at the Pawter. "Sorry pal...Just following orders. I'll see you on the other side...once you make it there." Eerily apologized the ghost type before bringing down his hooves onto the canine's back.
"Patama Almighthy..." Pawter barely thought briefly the canine before everything went black, his back having being bore into the ground by the Coltergeist's attack. Said coltergeist neighed loudly, making many Pokemon flee the scene in pure fright and made the poor Pawter trainer almost wet himself. Colteigeist's trainer merely came foward and patted the materialized part of the destrier approvingly before coldly staring the trainer in the eye, further scaring . "I'll take my money now kid. I believe I won." He said simply, extending his hand forward. That kid was desillusioned. He had recently set out with his Pawter, finally working up the courage to set out for Green Oak town where he would receive one of the starting three. First trainer he saw he challenged along his trusty partner in crime Pawter and here he was, crushed by this scary mister with no second thought that hadn't cared when he had said that he was just starting out. Merely used as a punching bag and discarded once he had forked over half of the money he had. He never felt as humiliated as he was now and quickly wondered about his life choices.. He pondered if he was even ready to take on others like him? Did he deserve to have Pokemon getting hurt for his sake? Did he...?
"MY MONEY KID! I have other things to do today!" Screamed the older person impatiently, his colt releasing another chilling neigh to punctuate that fact. The kid scrambled 500 Poke out of his Pocket panickly before giving them to the older teen before departing with Pawter in his arms, running toward the city crying, his confidence shattered in mere instants.
The older individual sighed before releasing a small frog like Pokemon with light blue body, dark blue head donning a froth like scarf around its neck. A small, wordless nod from the older person gave the frog Pokemon all the information he needed. Taking a Sitrus Berry from their stash, he vanished.
The older teen walked toward the lake, his Colteigeist in tow. The ghost type lowered his head toward the water and drinked happily. The teen looked affectionately at the ghost type before looking at himself through the water's reflexion.
He wasn't too tall, but decent enough. A fair, caucasian skin tone with shaggy blond hair hiding one of his piercing grey eyes. He was wearing a dark blue neckwear that doubled as a scarf and a dark blue poncho that he had secured in an apparel shop on Green Oak. Black pants and black shoes completed his attire. He sighed. He felt so old sometimes.
His colt pokemon finished drinking his fill and neighed in delight once more before turning to its trainer. Upon seeing him lost in thought as he contemplated his reflexion in the water, the ghost type walked toward him and neighed affectionately, rubbing his snout on his arm.
The teen frowned slightly, looking around for any sign of people. Upon seeing nobody, he allowed himself to relax and petted the colt's snout back. The ghost type snorted in approval before neighing softly, showing some dissaproval by giving his trainer a small headbutt.
The teen rolled his eyed, knowing full well what his steed was telling hiim.
"Tcht... I know Colt. But I had to show him that the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows. If anything, I did him a favor by showing him that now rather than a gym leader destroying his confidence or whatnot!" He reasoned to his colt pokemon.
"Beside...i am no monster..." He muttered looking back at his reflexion right at the moment when the water rippled. Upon looking up, the teen saw that his frogadier was standing on the water, his arms crossed. The trainer chuckled. "As fast as ever heh?" He asked the blue frog pokemon.
"Slipping that Sitrus Berry and a random Energy Root i found in his bag was a piece of cake." Answered boastfully the frog Pokemon as he jumped to land gracefully next to the shaggy haired teen.
The teen nodded in approval before laying in the grass next to his Pokemon. His face looking toward the sky, he extended his hand toward it. To block the rays of the sun, he ended up covering it from his field of vision using his hands. Closing his hand to form a fist, the gesture blotting the sun out of existence for a few seconds, he muttered: "I will realize my ambition, even if I have to blot out the sun for it."
It was a refreshing feeling to be out of the illusion forest. No more crooked trees that sprouted from nowhere, no more fainting spell from random powder falling from the trees. No more dusk, murky atmosphere. The trio was finally out of the forest that had caused them so much turmoil. A slightly wistful black furball looked at the dusky forest where she had spent much of her life. She would miss creating some havoc in here, but on the bright side, she could sense that her time with Snow would more than make up for it.
"I have to say that I will miss my forest..." She telepathically conveyed to the trio. They could only smile sadly at the tricky fox's expression. Snow gently picked the dark type up and caressed the top of her head. "Don't worry sweetie, I am sure that you'll enjoy being around us..." She encouraged softly, making the fox smile and nuzzle the white haired teen's cheek, barking happily. Vixen had to hold a gag...and a snort of jealousy. The fox quickly saw the look that the vulpix was giving him and chuckled. "This is fun...only a few moments in and I have already replaced you..." She boasted purposefully using her Pokespeech so the humans wouldn't understand. The golden furred Vulpix however understood every word and grit her teeth. "That bitch...! " She muttered while crouching, waiting for an occasion to pounce on her at any time.
Itzatl sweatdropped, looking at the two females in apprehension. "This ain't going to end well..." He predicted. Andre and Snow looked at each other...thinking along the same thing.
They though the same thing even more as the tricky fox jumped down to walk near the vulpix with the same royalty like air that Vixen liked, just to piss her off.
"I wouldn't be surprised, Vixen...After all, It would be uncouth for Snow to prefer you over me. Wouldn't it?" She flaunted, lightly tapping Vixen's face with her tail.
Sven and Gilla, who of course understood every word, sweatdropped as well. "Oh Arceus..."
Vixen glared daggers at the dark type, but tried hard not to lose it, even though her blood was boiling in her veins. "Calm down Vixen...you're leader, you're better than this..she's just challenging your authority..." She chanted and reasoned in her mind, taking deep breaths while conveying her carefully crafted image of calm and leved headedness.
The Zorua was rather impressed at this, but never showed it. It was on then... "I'll make her crack...i swear it..." She vowed while snickering.
Andre, Sven and Snow sweatdropped. Their Pokemon certainly had much more energy than they themselves had. The forest had been exhausting...
"So are we there soon Sven?" Moaned Andre as he slowly walked down the road, visbibly exhausted..
Sven shrugged. Actually not too far from the Pueblo. Id say around half a day more and we will reach the Pokemon Center. Pueblo Leaf Grove is a modern metropolis. We will reunite with proper "Western" civilisation there. So hang in there. Beside, walking in nature has done you some good, look at your strong calves and leg muscles!" He reasoned happily, not looking nearly as tired.
Snow and Andre looked at him enviously. ''We do not have like 4 years of travelling on us... give us a break Sven...'' Whined Snow as she stopped to massage her own calves. ''Beside, you did not run from a hungry monster all afternoon...'' She added as she eyed the Zorua who looked away innocently, a small sweatdrop behind her ear.
Andre chuckled. ''I swear you guys...Anyway I cannot wait to devour some good burgers...I haven't had that in a long time.'' He said as he started salivating, his eyes going glazed real fast.
His starter looked at him in aggravation. ''Really dude...First thing you wanna do in a new city is to gorge yourself?'' He asked, slapping a claw on his forehead.
Snow giggled. Her Andre was back alright. ''Well well sleepyhead, I bet I can eat more Burgers than you do anyway!'' She challenged the teen to everyone's stupefaction. Even Vixen had her mouth open.
''What!?'' Asked the teen, a little uncomfortable now that everyone's eyes were on her.
Andre was the one who broke the Ice. ''Did you really challenge me? On a food battle?'' He asked shakily.
Sven too was stunned and had his fair share of things to say, but he resumed his thoughts rather well: ''This little berratel over there litterally eat the equivalent of entire bushes in berries and food. What makes you think that you have a shadow Sneak of a Chansey?'' He pondered openly.
''Yeah...I'd love to know why you'd do something as out of caracther as that too...'' Vixen quipped, laying round brown eyes full of questions on Snow.
The white haired teen blushed slightly, not having it in her to merely say : ''I want to spend some time with Andre...'' Nor the other reason..., being : ''I like burgers...'' So she merely looked away pouting cutely: ''I am not going to say...but I still want to...'' She said stubbornly.
Andre chuckled before gently going over and ruffling Snow's hair a tad. ''Don't worry, i accept all comers...and I won't let you win.'' He confidently remarked as Snow smiled at his touch, leaning into it slightly. The raven haired trainer smiled as he kept on walking, Snow in tow, holding his hand. Nobody was around, and the contact was kind of nice, so he let it happen. Sven was slightly behind them, the Pokemon following. He shook his head at the two. ''Ah, young Luvdiscs...'' He muttered wistfully. His own partner, Gilla could sense his trainer's longing and as such raised an eyebrow. ''You okay chief?'' He asked the older teen.
Sven nodded. ''Yeah man, I'm fine. I just got a little lost in thought.'' He explained as he walked down the road.
Not too far from them, a pair of eyes watched the group. They were poised to strike, but then they saw Andre and Snow hold hands and they retched. ''Really, loved dovey in this region? Life isn't that easy...and you are about to find out.'' The thing thought as he gave the signal. Next to him, a frog Pokemon nodded and vanished.
Andre and the group ended up walking a little bit further down when suddenly a few blast of water erupted right before their feets. Startled, Andre pushed Snow behind him defensively and Sven immediately came around, his gilla on the groud, poised to strike. When the smoke cleared, a strange fellow was in front of them.
He did not look older than Andre. Shaggy long blonde hair that hid one of his eyes. Said eyes of a sharp grey color that seemed to look right through them, dark blue neckwear that doubled as a scarf and a dark blue poncho. He was observing the two with a cold, critical eye. As if he was hugely dissaproving what he had seen a few instants prior.
Andre quickly took charge of the situation. ''Hey! What's the big idea!?'' He shouted angrily at the newcomer. Iztatl came front and center, shouting angry things to back up his trainer.
The blond trainer stared at him. ''I actually wanted to mug you of your valuables...but then I saw you two holding hands like it's the sleeping fairy all over again. How disgusting...'' He spat, openly showing his distaste for their idylle.
This comment actually made Snow's blood boil. How dared he? She slowly walked toward the trainer and stared him down. Cold fury played in her eyes as she struggled to find the right words. ''You have some nerve breaking a nice moment and talking down on us like you own us. Give me a good reason not to have my Vixen turn you into a blazing memorial...'' She venomously said to the teen, in a voice that barely registered around normal conversation levels, but carried so much malice and danger that the teenager instinctively took a step back. Granted they all did, angry Snow was scary. The spell did not last for long, as the teen quickly found his composure and talked back: ''Life isn't all sunshine and rainbows, the quicker you understand it, the easier you can live.'' he replied, replying with as much steel as Snow had put in her voice. Sparks were basically flying now between the two.
''That's enough.'' A calm, controlled and dangerous voice chimed in. At the tone, both teenagers turned to the direction of the voice...and they were surprised enough to see who was talking.
Andre had talked, a very peeved expression on his face. He turned to Snow and gently placed his hand on her shoulder, conveying by his touch alone his appreciation before gently pushing her behind him. He stared at the newcomer right in the eye. ''Life isn't all sunshine and rainbows huh? You think that I don't know that fact? Trust me, I know. However, I don't care if you think that way, but what right do you have to assume that everyone shouldn't enjoy their lives in the fullest?'' the Lentimas native asked the shaggy haired teen in front of him.
Said teen saw the darkness in Andre's eyes and smiled. ''You look like you have tasted darkness, yet you act like a goofball. Your kind annoys me the most. I've been observing you for a little while now, skipping around like a sissy and holding hands like a kindergarden baby. What's next, are you going to tell me that you are doing the league challenge to be the best like no one ever was?'' He mocked dryly as he took a few step backs, his chuckles becoming a laugh that grated everyone's nerves quickly.
Andre felt his blood boil. He had thought that Ricardo was an asshole that deserved the worst death possible when he had assaulted Snow and Vixen, but this dude, his arrogance, his demeanor... was antagonizing him.. ''So what if I am? I also want to know about my ancestry and help the natives. Those are goals worth fighting for mate.'' Andre replied, steel and resolve firm in his voice.
''That's damn right!'' Iztatl the Aguade replied loudly in his language, his claws out in a threatening fashion.
The shaggy teen merely at him disdainfully. ''What a kid... You tell me that this is your goal? You must be one of these kids who believe that they can change the world for the better by the force of their will right? Anyway, allow me to do you a favor, i'll rid you of this innocence... one on one fight, if you lose, I will have my Frogadier break your leg. If I lose, you may do the same.'' he offered seriously, earning a glance from Sven and a shocked gasp from Snow.
Andre however was struggling to keep his emotion in check... one sentence from the shaggy haired teen had stirred up memories he'd rather keep buried deep within his psyche.
''You must be one of these kids who believe that they can change the world for the better by the force of their will right...''
Andre's fist clenched and shook. He looked at the shaggy haired teen with murder in his eyes...
''You must be one of these kids who believe that they can change the world for the better by the force of their will right...''
Andre's guts tightened and his entire body shook. His anger was rising to dangerous levels, yet he was so calm...sorrowful even.
A small image floated in front of him. A figure standing over him telling him to live his life the fullest... A clear, etheral figure telling him to never lose hope in what he believed in, even if it was hard before vanishing...
Snow's heart melted when she saw Andre's distress and anger. She had seen something like this before, when Andre was rambling a bit in the temple when he gained a sorrowful expression and left the place with no explanation... "What exactly have you gone through, Andre?" She asked quietly to no one in particular.
Sven looked at Andre carefully. Seeing him react like that was a first for him. "Yo dude!" He called out to Andre, stepping toward him.
The jokester did not have the time to come much closer however as he was stopped by Andre lifting his hand toward him, signaling him to stop. Stunned, Sven indeed stopped, watching the two carefully.
Andre turned to the shaggy haired teen and stared at him dead in the eye. "Yes. I am a kid who believes that he can change the world for the better. If someone needs my help, i'll gladly give it. That is how I was brought up!" He said seriously, his fist clenched and eye shining. Next to him, Iztatl gave a growl of approval , corroboring his trainer's words.
The shaggy haired shrugged, a disgusted look on his face. "Your parents definitely must have labeled you as a weakling to teach you that false truth." He rudely replied as he motionned his Coltergeist to come in front of him.
Sven had heard enough. "Okay mate that's enough now! Who do you think you are to talk to my friend that way? I'll pummel you!" He threatened angrily.
The shaggy teen barely registered Sven talking. "The feelings of a weak goody two shoes and his buddies is of no interest to me. I'm laying it as it is!" He said. "Beside, at some point, he'll become like...
"SALT CRASH!"
The blue lizard jumped toward the teenager, his paws covered in extra hard salt gauntlets, fueled by a rage he didn't know he possessed. Stunned, the trainer on the receiving end barely had the time to reply a command and was only spared a brutal concussion by the quick intervention of his Coltegeist, who met the Salt Crash with a vivious stomp attack that created a shockwave that made the sorroundings tremble. The force of the impact soon was too much for them to keep pushing back against each other and they were understandably flung away from each other quite the distance..
"Iztatl? You okay buddy?" Andre asked as he ran toward his starter and helped him up.
"That was one heck of a stomp... But I'll live. I won't stand someone insulting my human !" The water type growled.
Andre smiled appreciatively, having relatively understood what his first partner had just told him.
"Thanks buddy, I got your back too!" He replied as he gave his starter Pokemon a thumbs up.
The coltergeist was crumpled to a heap with the shaggy teen kneeling next to him. "That looked painful. You okay?" He quietly asked the colt so the others wouldn't hear.
"Its fine. I've tanked worse" Neighed the ghostly mare Pokemon as he pushed on his legs to stand, subtly helped by the blue clad trainer.
"Good! Go hit that loser with Shadow Ball!" He instructed the mare Pokemon.
"Sure thing!" Replied in its language the ghost type has he ran toward the blue lizard with a ballnof darkness forming in his mouth.
Andre's eyes widened. That looked like Shadow Ball, a strong ghost type move. "Itzatl, Dragon Dance, then use the speed to dodge then close in!" Commanded the raven haired teen.
Itzatl grinned, his blood now pumping with the heat of battle. "Sure thing chief!" Replied said Izatl as he stomped the ground with blue and red electricity cracking around him. The deed done and right before the by then launched Shadow Ball hit him, he slipped away, the ghost energy projectile hitting the ground and detonating, creating a welcomed smokescreen that irritated the shaggy haired teen.
"Now where is that sorry excuse for a water type? " He pondered angrily. The colt, seeing that he didnt have any orders coming in from his trainer, looked franctically around to detect some movement in the smoke.
Iztatl saw that and decided to use that against the colt.
"Am I going too slow for you? Just say so, I can kick it up a notch if you want." Cockily cackled Iztatl with glee as blue and red electricity raced his form once more, raising his speed even more.
"You little runt.. Wait until you see this then!" Replied an angry colt, neighing his annoyance rather loudly before raising his front paws and slamming them to the ground, dark purple mist erupting from his form.
Sven eyes widened. "Wait...that was !?"
The teenager smiled. His colt knew him so well. "Smog. An omnidirectional attack to stop an overeager reptile. That's what I thought as well..."
Iztatl was still running undercover while waiting for an opening when suddenly, he felt like something had clamped around his neck, cutting his air supply.
"Aaack!?" He gagged as he tripped on his own feet and skidded on the ground till he was relatively close to Andre. As he rose from the ground started coughing like his lungs wanted to leap out of his mouth, the Aguade's body took on a sick purple hue. The poor lizard could barely focus on the now smugly grinning horse.
"Fuck! Iztatl!" Andre shouted before lifting his gaze toward his opponent. "What the fuck did you do?" He asked rageously the shaggy teen.
Said teen just smiled meanly. "Night Shade!"
The colt launched himself at Iztatl, ghostly energy sourrounding his form.
Andre bit his lip. The teen wasn't going to answer...visibly. He could also see thay despite trying to keep a battle fit front, Iztatl was suffering.
"Okay buddy. I know its hard but I need you to hit that colt once with Salt Crash! I believe in you parter!"
"Ri...right!" Izatl said, his form slowly glowing blue, indicating torrent's activation. With sheer determination, he managed to hold his dizziness still and focused on the rapidly approaching horse Pokemon. With a cry of defiance, he broke into his own sprint.
Snow and Vixen were watching the battle with a great deal of concern for their male friends... However rude and mean the shaggy teen was, he clearly knew his stuff when it came to Pokemon battles. This was a perilous situation...and there also was the teen's threat to break Andre's legs in case he lost. She would burn him to a crisp via Vulpix before he even had a chance to touch Andre of course...but a part of her was afraid of how Andre's pride would take it. It was gut renching for her just to imagine Andre being mad at her, no matter how justified she would be to act. "Andre...Iztatl, do your best..." She silently prayed.
Said Andre was also quite emblazed in the heat of the battle. This dude was the rudest and the most detestable to come across, but his Pokemon knew how to fight. This wasn't the strenght of Pokemon forced to fight...there had to be a bond in there...
''You must be one of these kids who believe that they can change the world for the better by the force of their will right...''
Just like that...just remembering him uttering those words shattered any start of understanding he could have tried to gain. His feelings were agonizingly simple. He wanted to smash open that guy and any Pokemon that had the gall to lend him their help. The Lentimas native bared his teeth, gritting them hard as he trusted his hand forward. "Let's Go Aguade! Send that horse to sleep.!"
The shaggy teen was surprised to feel a tiny burning feeling in his chest at the sight of Andre's passion. He quickly disguised it with a "Pathetic" before trusting his own hand forward. "Finish this, Colt!"
The two Pokemon, now emblazed with the feelings of their different trainers collided with a bang, Large ghost energy pushing against bluish red water energy.
The two attacks pushed against each other before the contained energy exploded in the sky, launching both Pokemon toward their trainers. They did not get up.
Soon enough, the warm water and ghost energu caused a small squall to rain down on the area.
Both trainers returned their Pokemon and stared in each other's eyes, unblinking despite the rain...the tension so thick it left both Sven and Snow unable to intervene at all.
The shaggy teen shrugged and turned to leave, his Frigadier following behind him.
Andre was momentarily stunned. The fucker hadn't said a thing ever since the skrimish was done and he was going to leave just like that?
"Hey!" He shouted toward the shaggy haired teen.
Said teen stopped walking, merely turning his head in his direction. "What do you want, weakling?"
Andre ignored the quip and going. "Surely you don't expect to leave like that without giving your name right?" He asked
The shaggy haired teen chuckled. "It's not like you gave me yours, loser!" He sassily replied.
The lentimas native grit his teeth. He so wanted to run toward punch his face in , but knew better since he needed to take care of Iztatl soon. "Andre Cautemoc Aegis!" He shouted.
The teen's eyes widened slightly."Interesting..." He murmured before turning toward him and smiling meanly. "Remember well, weakling, the name that you are about to hear, as it is the name of Nuevo's future Conquistador"
...
"Christiano Fernando Pizarro"
A few seconds later, he was gone, dissapearing in the fog that had been stirred up by the leftover energies.
In a bleak facility not too far from Pueblo Leaf Grove, scientists and technicians were working crunch time. Whatever activity was going on down there sure looked important.
A large black skinned man was observing the work from the control room, looking pretty satisfied with himself. He was sipping a glass of iced Koka, his favorite drink.
Aside of his lab coat, he was sporting an all black work outfit with Gold lines adorning his shoulders. Right next to him was a Large Monkezuma, feeding happily of nanab berries graciously...offered by the nearby plantations.
"This one project is going well. An easy job for easygoing employees. And we get to smash the stuffing out those teddy bears from the Police as a bonus! Glad i passed my chemistry class back in high school Mahahahaha!" He boasted to his fighting type partner.
The large gorilla wasn't all there, occupied as he was by his favorite nanabs, but he still had the common Pokesense to go along his trainer's boast. Thus he let out a loud cackle of corroboration..
The supervisor smirked and patted the Monkey king's back. "You're a good partner, big guy!" He said affectuously as he patted the monkey vigorously on the back.
Soon enough a scientist entered the control room. "Chief, we have a case on our hands. The "supplies" are getting diffficult." He panickly explained the situation.
Said chief looked at the scientist with barely restrained contempt. "Humph, you scientists really can't handle keeping suplies in check huh? Oh well," he said as he got up his chair, stretching a little to unstiffen his joints.
The scientist threw the large man a hateful look. "Unrefined brute..." He muttered quietly.
The large man growled. He hadn't completely caught what the scientist had said but he was pretty sure that it wasn't a compliment.
"What was that punk?" He said loudly, looking over his shoulder at the scientist, a mean, violent glint in his eyes. Next to him, the large, borderline hulking Monkezuma agitating his club like tail for emphasis. The message was clear. Play nice with his human or risk having some parts...roughed up, for lacking a better term.
The scientist immediately gulped. He knew his place. "I just said sorry..." He quickly covered. That was a pathetic attempt, but that was all the scientist could think off when facing these two.
The man knew he was lying, but he knew that he couldn't expect respect from these people, nor he cared. What mattered was that the work was done. The rest, including his self esteem, was secondary. "Whatever. I'll go and handle the problem. " He said as he walked next to the sweating scientist, shoving him a little. to show that the insult hadn't flew over his head before leaving the room. The Monkezuma showed a smile full of teeth to the scientist while lightly tapping his tail like club in the palm of his large hands, signifying his readyness to hit something...or someone.
The scientist almost wet himself. The large supervisor was one thing...that hulky primate with bulky tail and fangful maw? Another entirely. The scientist scrambled out of the room away from the Monkey King, almost comically tripping over himself on his way out.
The large black man smiled.
"It's moments like those that makes me love my job even more..."
