Humphrey followed the four alpha females in front of him as they were talking to each other about something. Meanwhile, Carina was walking by his side, looking at the ground. Humphrey looked at her and smiled.
Carina is one tough girl. Even though she sort of sprain her paw, she is able to walk almost like a normal wolf, but the problem is that she won't be able to hunt with them. She didn't want to push her limit by going hunting with them and putting more pressure onto her injured paw to the point where it's going to be dislocated or have broken bones. Truth to be told, she also didn't want to be the one who's holding them back. Especially right now since they are planning to go home after this hunt. They don't know when will the next train is coming, but one thing they do know. They have to walk back, and it's going to take several days to do so.
They might have to make a couple or few stops for Carina and Humphrey to rest, and find food to eat.
Carina then looked up, making Humphrey look away to avoid making eye contact with her. Even though they are kind of in a relationship, Humphrey is still shy around them. He wanted to keep his eyes on them as long as possible, but he didn't want to be a creep. They're all beautiful girls, and he's in a relationship with them, so it wouldn't hurt to stare at them...right?
Humphrey didn't want to risk it. He then noticed Carina walking ahead him faster than he expected for her to do so. He then softened his shocked expression and smiled. He forgot that Carina is one tough girl. She probably got it from her mother, which is not surprising.
Meanwhile, the girls were looking at each other without turning their head.
They all have something in their mind. They wanted to impress Humphrey with their hunting skills and showing off how athletic they were. Carina pouted when she got to them. She can read their mind, and she is so jealous that she didn't have the chance to show off. All of them except her was wagging their tail and couldn't hold their excitement.
Humphrey thought they were just excited for the hunt, and it's nice to see them getting excited for something. He finds it cute, seeing them wagging their tails right in front of them.
Kate then stopped walking right in front of the group. She perked her ears before starting sniffing the air. She widened her eyes and licked her lips.
"Did you guys smell that" she asked. Humphrey tilted his head, and saw the other girls doing the same thing. Annie started wagging her tail very fast and started panting.
"Food" said Annie, slurping the saliva that was dripping from her mouth.
"Let's go" Chrystal exclaimed. They all increased their pace and started walking down the path, leaving Carina and Humphrey in the dust. Carina then noticed that she's all alone with Humphrey.
Humphrey looked at Carina and noticed that she's blushing a little bit.
"Are you okay" he asked. Carina perked her ears up and shook her head. Her cheeks started to glow brighter after realizing that she was in a relationship with Humphrey, so it would be normal for just the two of them or standing next to him.
"Y-Yeah...I'm fine" she replied quietly. Humphrey smiled and then kissed her cheek. Carina squeaked when he did that before smiling dreamily. She slowly turned her head and licked his cheek slowly. Humphrey smiled at her while she dreamily stared down his eyes. Even though Carina didn't get the chance to show off some of her moves, she still had the opportunity to spend time with Humphrey alone. Especially when he was worried about her. That's literally the best part because it just shows how much he cared about her. It makes her body feel gooey, and it felt good.
Carina continued to giggle cutely all the way down the path where her sisters went. She couldn't stop smiling from what happened earlier on. It would be much better if Humphrey kissed her lips instead of her cheek. That would make her day a hundred times better than the kiss on the cheek. If he does kiss her right on the lips, she wanted to try something else.
Ever since she saw Roselyn making out with Humphrey with her tongue, she wanted to do that with Humphrey. From the looks of it, she can tell that Roselyn was enjoying it more than they do because she gets to explore his mouth and feel the immense pleasure.
They continue walking down the path until they find the girls crouching down in the grass and slowly creeping up on a moose. Humphrey widened his eyes to see the size of that animal. It is definitely bigger than a caribou, and from the looks of it; there is no way they will take that thing down without Carina's help. Or maybe they need more wolves to take it down.
"How are they going to take that moose down" he said worriedly.
"Oh they will Humphrey. Trust me, we are the best alphas in the pack" Carina replied smiling. Humphrey then looked at her with a little smile on his face. He finds it funny when she says that. If he remembered correctly, they used to say that one of them is the best alpha in the world when they were pups. But now, they claimed that the sisters are the best alphas instead of themselves. They always argue with each other when it comes to that topic, which he finds it cute to be honest.
They continue watching them slowly creeping up on the moose. Kate slowly moved to the right with her eyes locked on target. Annie moved to the other side doing the same thing while Roselyn and Crystal remained where they are. The two oldest sisters are moving at such a slow pace to the point where they make sure they made no movements in the tall grass.
Kate was finally right in front of him, glaring her eyes down her prey's soul. She looked at Annie who was on the other side, and they both nodded their head. And with that, Kate and Annie both launched out of their hiding spots with their jaws opened wide and going for the neck. The Moose immediately reacted to their attack quickly and ducked his head down.
Kate and Annie both widened their eyes when they saw his antlers. Kate and Annie bite down his antlers for support. Kate swings around his main weapon and chomp her jaws onto his scruff. The moose squealed a little bit while Annie struggled for her life to maintain her position on the antlers.
Crystal and Roselyn charged in and tried to go for his neck, but the moose swing his head around and tried to hit them with his antlers. Annie squinted her eyes when she bit down his antlers really hard. She had to do something before she gets hurt and becoming a weight for them to get home. She will get seriously hurt more than Carina to be honest.
Crystal and Roselyn continue dancing with the moose, and the moose was fighting for his dear life. Annie looked down and saw his throat wide open, but it's a risky move for her to make.
She wanted to swing down and swipe his throat or maybe hanging down and go for the kill. Kate was also thinking the same thing if she swings around his neck.
Crystal was thinking about dodging all the attacks and use his antlers as a lever, so she can end the hunt while Roselyn wanted to launch herself from the trees and slice his throat. All of them wanted to do fancy and effective way to kill their prey just to impress Humphrey.
"Screw it" they all said. The girls made their move that they wanted to do, and with in seconds; blood splattering everywhere. Humphrey gasped when he saw four girls with bloody claws after doing their move in a flash.
"Wow that was amazing" said Humphrey smiling. Carina smiled before laying her head onto his shoulder as they watch them bringing the moose up the hill. As soon as they got to where they are, Humphrey licked his lips and began eating his dinner along with his girlfriends. Kate looked up with her puffed up cheeks with all the meat inside of her mouth as she stared at Humphrey who had his eyes closed and humming to himself. Kate gulped down her food and smiled before going in for another meal.
They continue eating the moose until most of them are freshly cleaned except the head, antlers, etc. Humphrey burped while laying down with a smile on his face.
Roselyn licked her lips cleaned from the meal, and Kate slowly walked up to Humphrey.
"Are you ready to go home" she asked smiling. Humphrey smiled and nodded his head. He stood up, and Kate led the group towards the train track. Kate then stopped walking before continued, so she can walk side to side with Humphrey and her sisters. They all looked at him before eventually wrapping their tail with his and sighed happily. They slightly began wagging their tail at the thought of spending time alone with Humphrey back at home, but little did they know that they forgot to do something first.
Ehh sorry for the boring or some what chapter, but it's best to keep the story going slow until something happens. If you guys remember my writing schedule, which is Friday, Saturday and Sunday or any day where we get a day off from school. That's when I write and stuff or maybe if I had nothing to do with my college work. Not only that, I am also working on my new official story on Wattpad. Also, sorry about the long wait. I'm actually thinking about the plot that leads up to the conflict of this story, and I sort of got it. I will keep on writing a chapter for Call of the Wild and maybe other stories, probably Shy Lovers. What did you guys think? What will happen next? I'm TheRavenMocker. Be a raven, mock the ravens.
