Grayson. A gray wolf with black highlights on his body is the teacher who taught Kate and her sisters back in Alpha school. A wolf who is the most trusted one in the pack along with Hutch. He's responsible for teaching the pack leader's daughters to become the best alphas ever. However, that's what Kate and her sisters feared about him now. If they ever revealed their secret relationship with Humphrey, they will be in big trouble.
"Uh...hi sir," they all said nervously.
"Well, it's been a minute since I've seen you guys graduated from Alpha school. How are you girls doing? And..." He paused as he stared at Humphrey. "Who is this?" The girls held their breath and widened their eyes when he noticed him. Fearing for their relationship to be discovered, they quickly move away from him and started laughing nervously. Humphrey had never seen them sweating like bullets.
"Uhh, he's a friend of ours" Kate stated.
"Yeah. YEAH, a friend of ours from our puppyhood" Annie added, and the others nodded their head rapidly, giving him a nervous smile.
"Ohhh," he said, looking at him. "It's rare to find an alpha still being friends with an omega since puppyhood." The girls gulped as they try their hardest, not giving him any hints at all. Grayson turned his attention to Kate, making her locking in place.
"Kate" he started as he walked closer to her. "Tell me...the reason why you didn't marry Garth is that you love this omega in the first place huh?" Kate widened her eyes before softening her expression. Grayson wasn't there when the wedding happens because he was too busy doing his work.
"Yes" Kate replied softly, but she still has a little fear within her. She was scared that he's still against the pack law of Alpha and Omega mating. However, from the looks of it, it doesn't look like he's opposing her or something.
"Well, I don't have the right to tell you how to live your life, but are you sure that your relationship will work out with him?" Kate was taken surprised when he said that until she softened her expression again. She doesn't like how they say something that she thinks is going to hurt Humphrey, but she understands that her teacher doesn't know Humphrey very well and due to his knowledge about a relationship between two different ranks.
"Yes, I'm sure that my relationship will work out with him. After all, he's the sweetest wolf I had ever met" Kate responded to him. Grayson didn't oppose any of that, and he smiled, knowing that Kate kept her words all the time. He then turned his attention to her sisters. When he did, they gulped again and try to remain calm as possible. However, Grayson didn't think of them having feelings for an omega. After all, they know not to break any pack laws, and it made sense that they're all friends, but...he's got one question in mind that he wanted to ask.
"Are friends supposed to be that close?" He asked, making them freeze up. They all shook their heads no, denying the fact that they are close to each other and have feelings for Humphrey. Grayson squinted his eyes, not sure how to think of this, but he shrugged his shoulders and began walking away. "I'll see you guys around," he said, walking away.
The girls held their breath as they locked their eyes on their former teacher until he was out of their sight. They let out a huge sigh of relief and began grabbing Humphrey's tail with theirs. Humphrey widened his eyes after feeling their shaking tails. He looked at them and realized how terrified they were. Before he could ask any question about what's going on, he was dragged away in a random direction by the girls. They were in such a hurry, and they didn't stop until they get away as far as possible.
After a few minutes, they finally made it to a small open area where it's far away from everyone else. They stopped running, making Humphrey slid onto his paws and almost face-planted onto the ground. Humphrey turned his attention to the girls and yet again, they were sweating bullets. Whatever happened back there shook them hard, and he had never seen them this terrified. It made them left their food behind, and they didn't get the chance to eat it.
"Hey" Humphrey started as he began walking towards the girls. "Are you guys alright?"
"Yeah...we're...we're fine" Kate replied.
"It doesn't seem like it. Who is that wolf back there anyway?" Kate gulped as she looked at her sisters, and they all nodded their heads, deciding to tell him who he is. And with that, they all sat in a circle with their eyes facing towards Humphrey's direction and making sure they weren't being followed.
"That wolf back there is our teacher from Alpha School" Roselyn stated.
"He's the most responsible and most trusted wolf in the pack," Crystal added.
"If he finds out our relationship, he would tell our dad and there's no way of stopping that" Annie added another detail. Humphrey widened his eyes when she said that. So that's why they are scared of him. They were afraid that Humphrey would be banished and taken away from them, breaking their relationship apart into tiny pieces within seconds. Humphrey can understand why they were afraid of him.
"We have to be careful, starting now. Who knows that he would be following us here and suspecting our relationship" said Carina.
"Hey girls, I think you left this behind," said Grayson walking through the bushes with the food they left behind in his mouth. The girls let out a scream and immediately moved away from Humphrey as quickly as possible. They began to sweat again, and they couldn't calm down. They were this close getting caught with their life flashes before their eyes. It was so close. So close. Humphrey gazed at them, and they were not alright. Their tails were madly shivering in fear behind their backs as they stare at Grayson fearfully.
"Th-Thank you, sir," they all said, stuttering a bit. Grayson perked his ears up, and the girls held their breath again. He stared at them and the girls remain standing still. He began to think that they are hiding something from him. He did hear them scream, which he thought scared them out of nowhere till he saw their positioning.
"Are you girls hiding something?" He asked, making them froze until Kate shook her head after regaining control of her body. Grayson squinted his eyes as he locked his gaze on them. He slowly turned his gaze at Humphrey who shrugged his shoulder once he made eye contact with him.
"Hmmm" he hummed. The girls froze yet again and started to sweat even harder. Kate looked at her sisters without turning her head, and they all did the same thing to each other. They waited for one of them to make a move, but it takes too much energy to gather up the courage. Kate gulped, feeling that all of her confidence and bravery are slowly started to fade away. Her stomach started to twist into different sizes of knots, and Annie barely can support herself. She was close fainting right in front of him. However, Carina tried her best to gather up all of her might to build up the courage and spoke out, almost fainting during the process.
"We...We're not hiding anything, sir...But...thank-you-for-our-food" Carina said quickly at the end and running out of breath after that.
"Oooookay," he said, squinting his eyes again. "I'll uh...leave you guys alone~" And with that, he began walking away, but the girls noticed his movement too well. His ears were facing towards them and without a doubt, he was looking back without turning his head.
Neither of them made a single move. They had never been this scared of their life before, and Humphrey started to get worried because their tails were heavily shaking like madly. It was not a happy wagging tail. It was a shivering one. Not only that, they have their furs sticking straight up and slight shivering movement in their paws. The girls can't hold it any longer.
Grayson stopped walking before facing them with a serious look. The girls gritted their teeth in fear, breaking the fact that they were indeed hiding something from him.
'Something's fishy' he wondered. Finally, he turned his full attention down the path, leaving the girls alone and they all passed out in a unison.
Short chapter, I know. But, at least I published the chapter and updated the story. My schedule is kind of funky, hopefully I can write a thousand word each day. I will take breaks between them because I'm back to college and it's my final year. Sucks to suck that my work gets even harder lol. Especially the money.
