Logan's mind was working overtime trying to process what his father had just told him. Today had been an amazing day, and now it would be marked, jaded, forever engraved in his memory, for all the right and wrong reasons. He (like his dad) knew this was rubbish, anyone who 'knew them' like this bloke was saying, knew that it just wasn't true, didn't have any credibility, but the gossip columns would love it! They enjoy a good scandal and that's the last thing his wife needed, she was pregnant with twins and he would do everything in his power to make sure nothing would ever affect his wife or children. The pair had always promised never to keep secrets and Logan was torn as to what to tell his wife, if it suddenly did get published and she had no clue that would surely be worse, but on the other hand he didn't want her stressed for weeks trying to figure this out. He sighed and turned the radio up even louder. Finn would be fuming. He hated when people insinuated things about him and Rory or Steph. He said people turned genuine love for a person into something dirty, and Logan agreed. He knew neither his wife nor his best friend would ever be involved in that way! He sang along to the music loudly and knew what he had to. He turned down the music and rang Steph.

"Huntz, what do I owe the pleasure?"

"Stephanie, can't a guy just ring his friend and check in? make sure you haven't driven Colin mad with wedding planning"

"They can but I know you Logan, seriously what's up, Cols here to"

"Put me on speaker"

"What's up bro, you've got us worried?"

"well I have news, a few bits of news actually and I know it's a school night and nearly 8PM already but any chance you can get to New York tonight? This really needs to be done in person"

"Grabbing the coats now Huntz should be with you in an hour"

"Thanks guys, take it steady"

"Anytime"

With that the line went dead, he knew Rory would most probably still be in the bath so decided to ring Finn next. He was working all hours at the minute but knew the mention of coming home he would be there, especially because he knew they saw the doctor today.

"Please tell me you haven't only just got out that clinic mate! If so remind me never to have children, my phones been glued to me for hours!"

"Sorry Finn I meant to ring earlier, we've just been so busy and I had some stuff to sort out, look I've got some news, I've got Steph and Col on their way up now, I should be home in about 15 minutes, Rory doesn't even know yet I want everyone there, she's going to need us Finn"

"I'll meet you out front... is the baby okay Logan?"

Finn was in serious mode, his voice grew quieter as he spoke, genuine worry about how the baby was. Logan should have made sure he began with everything is okay with baby, he couldn't wait to see everyone's faces when they found out it was 2! Colin had fast tracked his law school and took extra whilst the group was still at yale, so he only had to stay on an extra year. His father and the Hayden's had merged companies and him and Steph were also moving to New York. The motley crew back together before the arrival of baby Huntzberger. This blip in the road just needed smoothing out first.

"Oh god Finn sorry, yes babies fine, I'll explain everything when we are all together, I'm going to tell Rory that Col and Steph are coming so we can announce the pregnancy, she only wanted us to know and tell everyone else after the 12 week scan, then I'll make my announcement after."

"Okay, as long as my niece or nephew is okay I'm happy anything else we can sort mate see you soon"

Finn was right, the group has each other, this was not ideal but together they would get through it! His dad was pulling in old favours and even managed to get a guy to grab him the CCTV from the shop the phone was bought from. He hasn't received it yet but that was a massive step and with Jeff on the case if they could hear the voice it might be all they needed. The motivation stumped Logan, but sometimes the why is irrelevant, he needed to focus on the truth. He always knew living in high society bought attention, some unwanted but didn't quite think it would be things like this. They weren't celebrities, their lives weren't even really that interesting, but apparently to some it was the highlight of their day.

Logan made it back to the parking lot and just like Finn had said he was already their waiting. He decided he wanted Finn to know before Rory, Colin and Steph. He knew how angry Finn would be and thought it was best he wasn't ambushed. Plus, Rory didn't know what time they were due back so she wouldn't be wondering what they were doing. He flashed his headlights at Finn and he walked over and jumped into the car.

"so Huntz, lay it on me, we've got a problem and if it isn't our girl or the baby what's happened mate?"

Logan spent the next 30 minutes going over everything he knew to Finn. From the pictures to the phone conversations, leaving nothing out. Logan hadn't seen the pictures, they were locked away in the family safe, Mitchum had told him what they entailed and in reality he knew there was nothing to see. Finn had reacted just like Logan had expected, Logan's car took the brunt of the blame. He had never seen his friend so angry. Finn had told him it made him sick, it was like incest! Logan made sure his friend knew that himself or his dad didn't think for one minute any of it was true, but it didn't seem to help. Finn was so protective of the 2 girls, but even more with Rory. He saw her as so delicate; Finn knew Logan was more than capable of protecting Rory just like Colin was Stephanie, but they were his family! Like Rory, Steph was an only child and he thought they needed a big brother, he had girl talk with the girls like he was one of them and he knew people thought it was weird, that's what made Maddie so different, she loved Finn for Finn and actually found it adorable that he was like that with the girls. It proved to her what a genuine person Finn was, someone that was loyal and reliable. After another 10 minutes Finn had finally come back down to earth, determined now more than ever he would protect his friends from this and get to the bottom of what was going on. They made their way up to the apartment and found Rory laid on the sofa book in hand. She saw the two boys and beamed, dropping the book and running over to them. She lunged at her husband and Finn stood back and smiled at the pair, they were so in love. Rory then went and hugged Finn and asked them if they were hungry as she was starving. Logan told her that Steph and Colin were on their way over so they could tell them the baby news and Rory's face spread into an even bigger smile. She didn't feel it was right that Finn knew but the rest of the group didn't. Her and Logan had discussed telling their friends and everyone else after the 12 week scan, and truth be told she wouldn't be able to keep it from Steph anyways.

The trio heard a knock at the door and Logan jumped up to hopefully reveal his 2 friends. It was of course Colin and Stephanie and after the group all said their hellos they took seats around the living room and Logan began to speak.

"So guys, sorry to call you here on such short notice but this needed to be said in person, ace did you want to tell them?"

All eyes were on now on Rory, Finn with a small smile on his face, Rory chuckled, she couldn't wait to tell everyone it was twins! And she couldn't wait to reveal that she knew the gender.

"Well guys, I don't really know how to say it so ill just get straight to the point….. I'm pregnant!!!"

With that Steph dived up and the two girls began squealing and clapping, Finn of course joining in with the theatrics of it all. Colin stood up and hugged Logan congratulating him and made his way over to Rory to try and get between her and Stephanie. He managed to pull his fiancée back but as he did Rory put her hand forward stopping him

"WITH TWINS!"

Once again Colin was nowhere near Rory, Steph had nearly knocked him over, Finn was bounding about and had hold of both the girls hugging them tightly, Colin swung round to see Logan grinning like a Cheshire cat and went back over to his eldest friend

"I'm really happy for you Huntz, I thought on the phone it was something bad, is there something you're not telling me?"

Colin knew Logan, he knew there was more to this, Logan just simply shrugged before replying

"I wanted Rory to be able to tell the good news first, and I wanted everyone here to support her, she going to need it"

Colin nodded at his friend, he knew when Logan was serious, but this piece of news would be the silver lining any cloud could have. They had stuck together for years and it was no different now, him and Steph would be in new York permanently in a few months, and unbeknown to the rest of the group they had secured the apartment the other side of the hallway to Rory and Logan. They would literally be a stone's throw away.

"You do know though Huntz you've started something now don't you?" Colin whispered smiling, at Logan's confused expression he continued speaking.

"The girls always talk about when they have children, them going to school together like we all did and practically being cousins, Steph's going to want one, and soon"

Both boys started laughing and Logan patted Colin on the back, he actually liked the thought of Colin and Steph having a baby at a similar time to him and Rory, it would be nice to have someone else to go along the journey with, but he knew even if there was 5 years between the groups own children they would still be as close as him and his friends were now, and he wouldn't have it any other way. Colin started heading back towards Rory and he could hear Steph talking about the nursey, baby shopping and even names. He smiled to himself, this was such an exciting time, he hated being the bearer of bad news but knew he couldn't keep this from his wife. He was about to get everyone gathered back up and start the long story of what he had found out today but was stopped in his tracks when his wife began to talk.

"so guys, it's a very exciting time, thank you all for being here but I actually have some more news, whilst Logan was out the doctor called me and told me she had my blood results back from the gender testing, so I know what the babies are….."

His wife was glowing, beaming and it suited her, Logan looked her way and raised an eyebrow

"Well don't keep us hanging ace, what we having?"

"Boys! Were having two little boy's mac"

She darted into her husband's arms and tears were threatening to spill. Logan was having two little boys, twice the mischief! He couldn't wait, he honestly wasn't bothered what they had as long as they were healthy but knowing now he had 2 little boys that would soon be arriving made it seem even more real. The next 20 minutes seemed to fly by, Steph was over the moon explaining how she loved all the blue rompers and blue was Rory's colour so it just fitted! They went on about shopping and knitted cardigans to the prams and everything in between. The boys noted that these kids would be heart breakers and no matter what parent they looked most like would be one hell of a gorgeous baby. Logan knew he had to break the news so he gathered the group and pulled Rory onto his lap. He began to talk and explain that this would be sorted, he didn't want his wife overly stressed. He started with his good bit of news saying he was staying permanently in New York, that he had made the decision before he even knew Rory was pregnant, and now more than ever he needed to be close by. He then went on to tell the group what he had found out, Colin was up pacing, Finn sat with his head down and Steph just looked plain shocked. No one said a word until he was finished and he held on to his wife even tighter lightly stroking her belly were his two boys were. She was silent, and Rory was never silent. Rory was the first to break the silence.

"So, let me get this straight, some guy has been taking pictures of me and Finn…. Under the assumption we are having an affair?"

With that she burst into laughter, everyone was looking at her like she had finally lost the plot, Finn looked over at Logan and started to begin to laugh too and it was soon catching on.

"Logan I know this is serious but you've got to laugh at this, that it is biggest load of shit I have ever heard, and lets face it you said they had pictures but so what, they would also have pictures of me and you, me and Colin and even you and Steph, what is the point of the story? Making out we are some sort of incestuous group! Its laughable, I of course want to know who it is but if it goes to media Logan so what, we've had worse said about us, can't you remember that girl at yale saying we were only together because our families wanted it? How many times have we heard that your having an affair? Its just another story Logan, were not even famous! These people who say and do these things are sad little people and yes it does make me angry, but it more makes me feel sorry for them. If they had what we had they wouldn't be bothered about what we were doing"

Logan hadn't really thought about it like that, it definitely wasn't the reaction he had expected from his wife, he knew his dad would get to the bottom of it and do anything in his power to stop such a slanderous story, but maybe it wasn't the end of the world like he felt a few hours ago, this was their time to be happy and his wife wouldn't let anything dampen it and he needed to take a leaf out of her book.

"and let's face it, the best news we could have is you staying here so let's celebrate! We are all together let's order some food because my boys are hungry and let's have a good night like back in the day! We can think about everything else tomorrow"

She finished kissing her husband and he quickly returned it and suddenly the mood was back to how it should be on such an exciting day. The group ordered food and sat and watched films, Rory then whispered to Logan that she was ready for bed and he picked up his wife and said their goodnights. He carried her into the bedroom and went to the bathroom to get ready for bed. When he returned his wife was spread on the bed in one of his t-shirts waiting for him with a gleam in her eye. She may have been ready for bed, but she definitely wasn't ready to go to sleep. Logan stripped down to his boxers and caught the gaze of his wife, running her eyes over his body, just the look on her face made him hard. He crawled up the bed to her kissing her bare legs as he went, his ran his hands up the inside of her thighs and soon realised she wasn't wearing any underwear, he growled and gripped her thighs as his kisses carried on north. As he reached her core she was already dripping wet and ready for him, but he made tonight about her. He placed his mouth between her legs and she arched off the bed. He was licking and sucking and heard her moaning his name, the moan alone could make him lose it all too soon and he slipped in two fingers and began to pump in the same rhythm as his tongue. She was soon over the edge, legs shaking, he slipped off his boxers and moved over her capturing her mouth. He loved the fact that she would be tasting herself though his lips and she wrapped her legs around him pulling him closer. He was soon deep inside her and the pair made love, both reaching their peak together. After getting cleaned up the pair fell fast asleep holding onto one another.

It was a rude awakening Tuesday morning as Logan's phone rang just after 7am. He saw his dads name on the screen and quickly answered it, it had woken Rory as well and she sat up in bed rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

"morning son I hope I didn't wake you, but I have news, Jeff received a call last night and we have his voice. Jeff didn't pick up on it after the first time speaking to him but he's British son, who do you know from England?"

"I really don't know but"

"Logan…. I know who it is"

Logan turned to his wife, face scrunched in confusion, his dads voice then sounded in his ear

"Is that Rory did she just say she knew who it was?"

Rory grabbed the phone and pressed speaker and handed it back to Logan

"Morning Mitchum, yes I think I do know who it is, do you want to come here with the recording, I'll have to call someone but I think I know what's happened, I'll explain everything when you get here"

"yes absolutely, I'll see you soon"

The line went dead, and Logan turned to Rory confusion all over his face. She smiled at him and kissed him and jumped out of bed

"I need to call Maddie, we can do this when we are all together, saves us having to go through it multiple times, you go wake the other whilst I'm getting showered"

Logan nodded and pulled on some clothes ready for the day to begin. It was the first time in his life he couldn't wait for Mitchum to arrive and he hoped it was quickly.
