As Eren remembered all that happened in the time he stayed in the Hanten World, a light smile appeared was plastered onto his face, one that Toshiro and Rangiku did not miss.

"You seem pretty happy for a guy who has to work his ass off non-stop for the 15 years." Toshiro said slowly

"Captain don't spoil the mood for him…by the looks of it, he must have had a great time in his world."

"Mind sharing it with us?"

Eren gave a light grin and said

"Nope. I'd rather keep it to myself."

Toshiro gave a light smirk

"Good for you. Anyways, are you ready for your first task?"

"W-Wait. My training's not over yet!"

"I know. But judging by how your captain trained you, I'm sure it'll be no problem. Besides, it's not much of a thing either."

"By the way, why are you assigning me a mission Toshiro? Isn't it supposed to be my Captain?"

Toshiro chuckled

"You see, that is the mission. Soon after you left, Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai left with Ichigo Kurosaki to the earth…like, this earth, the Doitsu World. So just get them back here…and assist them if anything goes wrong."

"A-Are you like really sure about this?"

"Of course! It can get you some experience as well."

"Not that! I mean…are you sure sending me of all people is a good idea? I mean, I'm not exactly considered a good guy among them."

"Well…even if not now, you'll have to go down there someday. Besides, I personally think seeing you in person again will remind the two of their duties."

"Just to be sure, Renji Abarai is that red pineapple haired guy and Ichigo is that orange haired guy, right?"

"Yes . That's correct."

"Okay. Renji…Red. Ichigo…Orange. Got it. By the way…will you be coming?"

"No. I have a mission I have to attend to for now in another place. You can take Rangiku if you want. She's been working all day with all the paperwork I gave her. So she could use a little break. Just make sure she doesn't get out of your sight."

"Oh…kay…no problem."

Eren and Rangiku go through a portal and end up in a back alley. They had ran a lot in the place between the soul society and the human world

The two came out of the portal, panting. Eren heaved

"That…portal…is much worse than the one to the Hanten World. Does the Ichigo guy have to go through this every time he comes over?!"

"Don't worry about it, a few more times and you'll get used to it."

"Anyway…"

He gestured to Rangiku's clothes. She was wearing a pair of jeans, sneakers and a yellow t- shirt. Eren was in a white kimono that he usually wore in his free time.

"Is this this stuff they usually wear over here?"

Rangiku looked down at her attire and said

"Yeah. These are what most people wear. A t-shirt, a pair of jeans and sneakers"

Eren stared at her

I have a lot of questions.

He then proceeded to ask the main ones.

"Where are we now?"

"A back alley."

"I know that. But like where exactly?"

"In Ichigo's home place, Karakura Town. Oh by the way, before I forget, here's the stuff I have to give you."

She then searched her bag and gave him a few items. First was something that looked an opening and closing…pebble? It also had a few small lights on it.

"Here's your phone. Other than normal stuff, it also alerts you of the hollow missions that you may have to help in"

Before Eren could even ask what a phone was, Rangiku put a bunch of cash in his hands

"Here's some money."

Thank god I know what money is.

She then said

If you're trying to find Rukia, aske around for Ichigo Kurosaki. He's a local here and She and Renji hang out with him whenever they come here so they won't be that far."

"Um..yeah, okay, got it."

They then went out of the alley to find themselves in the middle of a wide street with many shops on either side. The place was filled with billboards and large screens showing advertisements for various brands

Rangiku clapped her hands together.

"Ah! The Shopping Square! What a place to land up in!"

Eren looked all around him in complete awe with his eyes wide in wonder and astonishment. He'd never seen anything like this ever before. Not even when he went beyond the sea of Paradis. He saw huge screens with large versions of people on them

How are those people looking so big? A-Are they Titans? No no, that doesn't look like a real person at all…But it looks like a real person! W-What is this place?!

Eren pointed to the large TV and asked

"R-Rangiku, what is that thing?"

"Oh that's just a TV advertisement. Nothing major…but their clothes look so pretty!" Rangiku exclaimed in glee with hearts in her eyes.

She's not in any position to answer anything now…*sigh*

Eren thought in disappointment

But…this place is just…I don't know how to put it in words. It's…beyond anything I've ever seen!"

Eren looked around his surroundings. Seeing all the new things around him, he was just awe-struck. He was excited. Very excited. Lakes of fire, plains of sand, stretches of saltwater…this was beyond any of those things. Although he was curious to explore the place, he felt a little insecure as well

He then looked at his clothes…and the clothes of the people around him. He could even feel a few stares on him

"Anyway, Rangiku, could you help me find a change of-"

He then noticed that Rangiku was nowhere to be seen.

"R-Rangiku?"

He then remembered what Toshiro warned him

"Just make sure she doesn't get out of your sight."

"SHIT! I LET HER OUT OF MY SIGHT!"

He put his hand on his head

He then looked around again

Guess I'll have to find my way around here on my own.

He started to walk about the place. He didn't know what anything was and was completely clueless.

What do I do? What do I do? I'm in an unknown place with all these weird devices and I have only one contact who doesn't know I'm here and literally hates me.

He kept walking around the town for two hours, asking who Ichigo Kurosaki was, but had no luck.

Soon, he was hungry, and thirsty, but he still kept walking. Soon after, he spotted a big glass box with what seemed like drinks cans inside

"Finally! A god sent! Those things inside seem like food. But…why put them in a box like this? Who cares! As long as I get something to eat."

He fisted his hand and was about to punch the glass when he heard a scream on the side

"HEY!"

He then turned to see someone in the distance…a girl. She looked like she was in her late teens, probably a little younger than him. She had her black hair tied up in a ponytail and was wearing a so-called 't-shirt' with shorts and 'sneakers'. She also had a ball in her hand with black and white dots.

"Um…Yes?"

She then walked towards him until she was right in front of him. She seemed to be of average height, around 5 and a half feet.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, STEALING FROM A VENDING MACHINE?!"

"S-Stealing? Vending Machine?"

"Then what? You just got ready to punch a vending machine glass!"

She then looked at Eren from top to bottom. She couldn't get a single idea about this guy from a first impression.

"A-Anyway, how is this called stealing? I'm just trying to get a drink placed inside a box." Eren said simply

"Well, you don't punch the glass for that! You're supposed to pay!"

Eren blinked

"Pay? How?"

The girl's annoyed look changed into one of disbelief.

"You…pay with a coin? You're supposed to put a coin in the hole right there to pay for what you want. That's how it works."

Eren was still confused. The two then heard his stomach growl

"Damn it." Eren muttered as he held his stomach

The girl then gave a small sigh

"OK Fine. Here. I'll pay for once."

Eren looked on as the girl took a coin out of her pocket and then showed him each step. Eren watched as she put the coin in the hole, pressed a few buttons to choose what she wanted. He looked as the item slowly came down through the outlet present at the bottom.

"Here you go."

Eren looked at what the girl gave him

"It's a Pork Fillet Cutlet. It's quite good."

Eren looked at the thing

"W-What is this place? It's so weird."

"First time in the city?"

"Well…you can say that."

She then told him how to open the wrapper and instructed him to throw the wrapper in the dustbin after he's done.

The girl then looked at him as he began to eat. He looked a little older than her, but a little younger than Ichigo. His facial features looked European, possibly German, but he didn't give that kind of a vibe. She had to admit, while she was not too obsessed with guys for her age, she had to admit, he looked very attractive, especially with his green eyes and the man-bun. As for his clothes, she knew that she had seen those clothes before…but couldn't pinpoint exactly where.

She then brought a drink for herself and sat next to him. She then tried to make conversation to know more about this mysterious person

"So, what brings you to Karakura Town?"

"I came here searching for a few frie-colleagues of mine. I came here with another friend who knew the place well, but sort of left me in the dust. So…I'm sort of lost here."

"Damn that sucks. So you have any idea where these colleagues of yours are?"

"No. But I do have a name of a person who lives here. They stay with him for most of the time they're here."

The girl then asked

"So what's this person's name?"

As she took another gulp of her drink Eren said

"Ichigo Kurosaki."

The girl spat out her drink

"HUH?!"

Eren looked at her

"You know him?!"

As she looked at him again, she recognized that outfit now. It was the same one Rukia wore in the Soul Society when she's off duty. She's seen that in a few pictures

She then slowly said

"Y-Yeah…I do. Are you…Are you from the Soul Society, by any chance?"

"Y-Yes. Yes I am."

"O-Oh. Okay."

"How come you…"

The girl then extended her hand to Eren as she introduced herself

"Karin Kurosaki. I'm Ichigo's younger sister."

Eren blinked as he shook it

"S-Sister? I didn't know that that orange haired guy had a sister."

Karin giggled at the little nickname

"Sisters. I have another twin sister, Yuzu."

"Wow. You wouldn't happen to know Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai as well, right?"

"Yeah, I do. They're good friends as well."

She looked at their connected hands and asked

" Oh by the way, what's your name?"

"Eren. Eren Yeager."

That's such a cool name! Karin thought. She was getting more interesting in this man by the second.

"So those colleagues you're talking about…are they those two?"

"Yup. The very same. I work under Captain Kuchiki. Or at least…I'm about to."

"Really? This is the first time I'm hearing about it! Wait, what do you mean about to?"

"I joined only a bit recently. It's a bit complicated but…I'm still in training and I have another three years left. After that I'll be working as her sub-ordinate."

"Hmm…so why come here?"

"Well she and Renji Abarai have been staying in the human world for a week and Toshiro told me to like…get them back to work."

"Toshiro? You call him by his first name?"

"Yeah…only in personal conversations. Not on professional stuff."

"Huh. You two must be quite close if he allows you to address him by his first name."

Now that I mention it, he DID mention meeting someone interesting. Was he talking about him?

"If you put it that way then…yeah, I guess we're quite close." He said with a light smile

"Well, if my brother's the guy you're looking for, then leave it to me, I'll make him a call!"

"A…call?"

"Yeah, I'll be calling him by phone." She said as she showed him her flip phone

Eren looked at the phone and then took his one out

"So THAT's what this shiny pebble's used for!" Eren exclaimed as he looked at it.

"Shiny…Pebble?" Karin wondered

She then burst out laughing

"Okay, Okay. I think I get how left behind you are. Wait, I'll make Ichi-nii a call."

"Wait before that…"

"Huh?"

"I…need a small favor. Could you…help me find some clothes? I don't think what I'm wearing is…of this place. I'll pay though! I just need you to help me navigate. It's very confusing around here."

Karin thought for a few seconds

"Hmm…Okay!"

The two then went to a local store and brought the clothes he needed. He brought a black hoodie which Karin suggested and a pair of the so called 'jeans'. They were a bit stiffer than the usual clothing he wore when he was alive, but it was more durable. He was a little uncomfortable at first, but he slowly began to like it. He thought of trying out the so-called sneakers, but then he decided in the end to buy the usual military-style boots he was used to.

Karin kept staring at him as he came out wearing the clothes he bought

"Thanks a lot, Karin. You were a great help."

"Uh…Umm...Yeah, no problem."

Eren began to look around him again

"Can these people sense something weird from me or something?"

"Um…no, not something I can think of. Why?"

"When I came here, I felt some people around staring at me. I figured it might be because of my clothes but…even now they're staring at me."

It's not like they know what I did, right?

"Well…those are two different types of staring." She said with a light chuckle.

"Different…kinds?"

"I…It's difficult to explain."

She then remembered

"Oh, yeah, I'll call Ichi-nii now."

"Yeah, yeah, we should! And I've to find Rangiku as well."

"She's the person who ditched you right?"

"Yeah. We landed up in the Shopping Square and within minutes, she was gone." Eren said with a slight annoyed tone

Karin chuckled

"As expected of her. Toshiro always complains about how much she loves shopping."

When she took her phone, she found out the battery was low.

"Shit, my battery's low."

Eren then asked in curiosity

"Battery?"

"So this thing like…just works until you have power in the battery. When that's over, then the phone shuts and it's just another…shiny pebble."

"Is this battery like fuel or something?"

"Exactly. Now let me call Ichi-nii before my phone ends up dead."

A/N: So I thought of publishing these chapters with a gap but my end-sems are coming up and I won't be able to post anything for a while ( Like the next two weeks). So I thought I'll write two chapters and post it before I get my complete focus on my studies.
