Freeman's Odyssey
Chapter: 141
Freeman part-time hero
A portal opened up outside an American city and stepping out of the portal is Gordon Freeman, looking around for a moment everything appears to be normal until he used his suits scanner to pick up any activity at all, then his suit picked up portal technology. Using his suit to pinpoint of where portal activation took place as it shows a location or two deep in the heart of the city.
One place is an abandoned theater called Odyssey and another place called Fish Stick a restaurant which are right next to each other, how odd is that and is worth investigating, people should not be messing around with portal technology and he wondered what if the Combine found out about this dimension and decided to take the portal technology for themselves, these idiots would unprepared for what will happen.
Freeman's log
Dr. Gordon Freeman speaking as I come upon another dimension my suit picked up two portals right next to each other, either someone is messing around with something they don't understand or are smart enough to do so, I will investigate more.
End Log.
He ended the log as he pressed on into the city itself, the name of the city he had never heard of before and it looked rather clean, despite having portal technology here and wondered if people even bother to notice or even ask. He suspected the people are too ignorant to care and the U.S government might want to take the technology for themselves, Gordon knows there is no Combine activity in this dimension, at least not yet.
The Odyssey: Movie Theater
Phyllis is hard at work keeping the MUT activated as she is harboring a secret of her own and of course she has just sent Penn Zero along with his friends to another dimension, she is sipping a cup of coffee until she looked down as a reflection of someone that made her startle as it is a being she has not seen in a long time.
"You," said Phyllis "What are you doing here,"
"Oh my comings and goings is my own," said G-man "Playing this game of heroes vs. villains is so below you Guardian,"
"Do not call me that," said Phyllis
"Oh, but it is what you are," said G-man with a smile "My employers already know what you are doing and they have instructed me to tell you, that time is running out,"
"No, there is still time," said Phyllis "All we need is-"
"Too late," said G-man "The crystal shards have been found and taken away…..call it more like a motivation on my part to remind you of the terms of the contract,"
"I was going to us it too-"said Phyllis
"To save Misster Zero's parents," said G-man "However there is a way to save them besides this inferior portal technology MUT, which I will keep to myself, but to let you know you sent Misster Zero and his friends to a dimension that are someone else's property,"
"I don't understand," said Phyllis
Before her eyes, he simply smiled and vanished as Phyllis growled in annoyance pondered on what did the being mean by someone else's property, that could mean anything…..unless….unless, something that is not good at all.
Fish Stick: Restaurant
Phil kept an eye on Rippen and Larry's progress in being villains; also he maintained the portal technology and the restaurant as he has very little customers except for a old bearded man and right now is cleaning the counter until someone walked in and he looked like a scientist, wearing glasses and some type of advanced armor he has never seen before as Phil stared into Gordon's Freeman's eyes to see the man has much harden experience of something important.
Gordon Freeman sat down as he looked around the place is rather filthy and not very clean at all, it has a foul odor and the man at the counter kept staring at him, as Gordon didn't flinch even once, also he noticed the man at the counter is looking at some monitor of two people for some strange reason, he had pinpointed the portal activation here and that movie theater as well.
"Hey does anyone actually buy anything from here," said Gordon
"Just fish sticks," said Phil "So where is you from?"
"Seattle, Washington," said Gordon "Another dimension,"
"So you do not belong here," said Phil
"Neither do you," said Gordon "Where did you get the portal technology from, its way advanced for his dimension,"
"How did you get here?" asked Phil
"Long story," said Gordon "Tell me have you heard of the Combine,"
Phil dropped a glass on the floor as his eyes widen in shock as he looked scared and concerned for some reason as he is a part of a being known as guardian in which he is the evil part and knows the Combine are beyond his evil.
"I see you have," said Gordon "You know those two people in the monitor, I recognize that dimension as it was recently conquered by the Combine,"
"What," shouted Phil "I uh….."
Phil then tried to teleport them back to this dimension, but the teleportation didn't work as he growled in annoyance he had to save them and save them right now. It seems this man, knows about the Combine, and asks for his help.
"Will you help," said Phil
"Yeah I'll get them out," said Gordon "Portal technology like this will attract the Combine, guess you're too stupid to see that,"
Gordon got up and walked out of the Fish Stick restaurant, leaving Phil completely confused and didn't expect this at all.
The other dimension
The part-time heroes of Penn Zero, Boone Wiseman, andSashi Kobayashi are racing to a location to destroy some sort of dark tower and all the while Rippen, along with his side kick Larry are trying to stop them as Ripped has some strange looking forces with them, but being a part-time villain is part of the job, so he didn't care, but Larry looked concerned as these strange looking forces could be too evil for him to handle. Finally the three part time heroes reach the dark tower as Rippen is there.
"Well Penn Zero don't even think of destroying this place," said Rippen
"I think we will," said Zero "Like last time and last time before that,"
"He has a point there," said Larry
"Oh shut-up Larry," said Rippen "Now my forces attack and destroy-"
"I think not," said a voice out of no where
All of them look to see a Slug like creature hovering right there as white armored soldiers appeared along with technological creatures they have never seen before. Perhaps coming to this dimension is a bad idea and then the dark tower started to activate as energy is sent upwards in the sky.
"Your MUT will prove useful in conquering," said the Combine Slug "Other dimensions."
"We can rule together," said Rippen "And finally I will be a real villain, hah, hah, hah,"
"Now that would be cool," said Larry
"Why do I got a bad feeling about this," said Boone
"I think we better leave," said Sashi "Like right now,"
"Good idea," said Zero "Uh-oh the teleportation isn't working,"
"It isn't working for us either and I don't want to be late for tea time," said Larry
Larry suddenly felt strange as he is hovering in the air and then a horrid like scream comes out of his mouth as his body is being twisted in a way that is not possible as his limbs are being broken and blood is coming out of his mouth, along his eyes, nose and mouth until he is thrown along the side and Larry has just been killed by a Combine slug.
"Hey wait," said Rippen "He was my evil side kick,"
"Rippen," said Zero "I think this thing is more evil than you,"
"Now for the rest-"said the slug
Suddenly out of no where the Combine slug is sliced in half by an energy blade and it explodes afterwards, as the combine forces reacted they too are also under attack and quickly taken by surprise. As all four of them see an armored man standing there and glaring at them, Gordon Freeman had come and sees the Citadel spire activated and by the looks of it, as it is trying to open a portal to their dimension. Gordon activated a portal of his own.
"Go through the portal," said Gordon "It will take you home,"
Not hesitating even once all four of them head into the portal and watched it close afterwards.
The city
Phyllis and Phil step outside of their respective places as both the MUT's are out of control and have shot an energy spike into the middle of the city, creating a portal storm and then a small portal opened up as Penn, his friends and Rippen minus Larry have arrived.
"Uh-oh this is bad," said Zero "What do we do,"
"The two MUT's are creating a massive portal storm," said Phyllis
"Being it the most evil empire in all of the multi-verse the Combine," said Phil
"I'll handle it," said Gordon "You idiots seem to have no idea of what you are doing,"
"What do you want us to do," asked Phil
"Divert all power to those portal technology you have and direct it towards the portal storm," said Gordon"The feed back from the energy would close the portal and destroy that dimension in the process, it would also destroy those MUT's of yours saving the city and this dimension,"
"But my parents….I need to use the technology," said Zero "To get them home,"
"I am not going to argue with you kid," said Gordon "Now let's get to work,"
Zero his friends and Rippen watch as Gordon went with Phil and Phyllis to do the plan it wasn't long before what Gordon described what is happening the energy shoots out as it hits the portal storm by closing it, but see an image of that dimension being destroyed and finally the MUT's are destroyed as well in which the buildings mysteriously vanish, but Gordon, Phil and Phyllis made it out before that happened.
"So who are you," said Gordon
"Penn Zero," said Penn
"Oh so you're their son they have been talking so much about," said Gordon "I have met them,"
"You mean you've been to the most dangerous dimension there is," said Penn
"Yes," nodded Gordon
"So that means," said Penn
"Yup," nodded Gordon
Gordon created a portal from his suit as a small portal appeared and stepping out of the portal is Penn's parents as he is really happy to see them and then the One-Free-man walked away.
"You know I got a feeling that Phil knows about the Combine," said Gordon "So you don't need me to tell you about them."
