Gordon Freeman had been attacked by few of these kids call tributes, he wasn't going to kill them as he just crippled them instead and leaving them to their own fates. He could leave just like that, but he decided to stay and to learn more about this Hunger games.
The one-free man encountered strange animals that attacked, he could see that they appear to be generically altered in some shape or form. In the background the G-man watched in amusement, then fixing his tie and simply just vanishing without a trace, Gordon uncovered a few traps set by these kids and removed them.

Once again I find myself in another dimension and accidently involved in something called the Hunger Games, so far I have gathered that tributes or kids are being used for these games, they appear to be well trained to fight to the death.
I have been attacked by these kids and o have chosen not to kill them as they are only innocent people, I will learn more of these games soon

He starts to walk in this area and with a trusty crowbar in hand as Katniss Everdean has taken a vantage point and watched this mysterious man, he seems like a capable fighter with much experience as it shows upon his eyes and he was talking to himself. She had killed a few tributes, she got some bow and arrows to defend herself.
She wasn't going to take any chances as she and her sister will survive, of course her enemies are districts themselves. The area is protected by a force field, perhaps there is some way to get through it without any problems, but she had to stay on guard. Night will soon fall as it is the most dangerous is here at night.
Night time
Night had fallen and Gordon found a spot to relax, despite being a dangerous place with blood thirsty kids competing in these games, it is a picture perfect place to hang out. He made a fire and sat there as he looked in the fire, then he heard foot steps as a girl joined him to keep warm, Katniss is interested in the man.
"Your not from here are you." Said Katniss
"No, and you wouldn't believe me if I told you" said Gordon
"I heard you talking to yourself from before" said Katniss
"Just making a log" said Gordon "As it is part of my travels"
"I see" said Katniss "What is that symbol on your armor"
"it means Lambatta" said Gordon "Freedom"
"Freedom I like that" said Katniss "Who are you fighting"
"I will tell you all about" said Gordon "My name is Dr. Gordon Freeman and this is my story"
The one free man goes on about the combine and his dimension in taking them on, in one and more situation until the combine were defeated and driven out, then he goes on about traveling to one dimension warning these dimensions about the combine and many adventures as he goes in detail about then.
Katniss decided to tell about Panem, the districts, the hunger games and about this and that about their society, which Gordon noted it reminded him in some ways of ancient Rome, so she went on the best she could recall about the past hunger games, including past champions. Then it is about herself, sister and her family.
Knowing it is going to be a long night as the both of them decided to stay up all night Katniss felt like she could trust this man and Gordon kept his guard up as this is one dangerous girl. Gordon is wondering about these hunger games and is worth the effort. He will help out in anyway he can to give these people the freedom they need and deserve.
