Only moments ago President Snow had fired two nuclear missiles right at District 12, only to have a course change and be sent right at the Capitol district. Snow and the others watched in horror, the misses exploded on impact.
Two large mushroom clouds were spotted and the people, didn't stand a chance as the city, army and people were completely obliterated by the explosions and the nuclear pulse had knocked out all air craft nearby.
The air crafts mostly military have crashed to their deaths, even Snow in the aircraft was killed upon impact from the ground. The rest of the districts activated their district shields, so they wouldn't be effected at all.
People watching at home were horrified and shocked as well. They wondered what happens next, how they will survive and could the United States return, replacing the name of Panem. All of their futures are uncertain at the moment.
District 12
Katniss, her family and everyone else are still in shock, but many of the children are celebrating that means no more hunger games and will live for a long time. The parents were great ful, so they don't have to tribute their children anymore.
Although forces loyal to Snow are still out there, why because they liked the current system and didn't want to go back to some lame duck democratic system that ruined the former USA.
"That was a little extreme" said Katniss "But I wasn't going to change it my way, but thanks anyway."
"Well they had it coming" said Gordon "So you did watch it all burn, what will you do now."
"I will lead the fight so all of us can be united" said Katniss "Like a one-free-people, how you are the one-free-man"
"Good luck with that" said Gordon "I must be going."
Gordon activated the portal program in his suit and a portal opened up in from of him, he turned back and waved. Then walking into the portal as he and the portal vanished without a trace
United States of Panem: 20 years later
Almost a million people are standing outside and alot more are watching at home as the people of the USP, see a woman going up to the podium in which she is the president of the USP Katniss Everdeen.
"Thank you for everyone watching and coming" said Katniss "We are still Free people in the 20 years, may that continued to be for a long time. It was 20 years ago that Gordon Freeman had come to free us and we will always be thankful for that."
