Part Two: Black Forest rescue
Gordon Freeman had encountered these hordes of head crab zombies before, once they were human, but not anymore and following alone the zombies are poison ones too. Using his suits weapons program he draws out a plasma rifle and fired upon the horde mowing several of them down.
However more are coming and Alita draws out the blade of Damascus, which she ignited the weapon and runs in full speed. With a series of acrobatics Alita sliced into the zombies, cutting them in half and what was Alyx doing.
Defending herself of course, she had her own gravity gun constructed and and fired by using the objects around them like wood or broken object found upon the ground. The headcrab zombies kept on coming, but are dropping like flies, blood and body parts are flying around.
Only then the headcrab zombies are being corralled like cows in one place and Alita got the general idea, which she withdraw her blade and extended her legs to leap up in the air and using her momentum which her hand glowed with energy, as she came down upon the zombies.
KABOOM
This ability is known to her as charged palm strike. By forming energy with her palm she can emulate an anti-tank grenade which detonates on contact with the target or targets. The zombies were obliterated by Alitas attack and she stood there, blood soaked and ready for battle.
"You have some strange friends Gordon," said Alyx.
"It's who I come across," chuckled Gordon "So don't worry about it."
"D0g like big boom," said the Robot.
"Okay where to next." Asked Alita?
"We keep on moving, according to Intel there is an abandoned village deep in the forest, we go there." Replied Alyx
"Agreed," nodded Gordon
The four ventured on in the black forest. The place is roughly quiet and creepy, they left behind scars of a battle. Nosies of animal sounds echoed in the background, with a place like this he is not surprised that animals still exist in a forest like this, the Combine had taken over his dimension.
Besides animals sounds, their foot steps cracked the forest ground and everyone kept guard for just about everything. Alita blinked for a moment and could have sworn she had seen a human in a business suit lingering in the background.
The G-man had been watching their progress so far and found the girls abilities to be very impressive and perhaps a future client to deal with. He simply fixed his tie, smiled at the girl known as Alita and vanished into thin air like always.
A fog rolled into the forest, which engulfed them in seeing not too far in front or behind them. They did discover a used trail, with old tracks of footsteps and so they used the trail to see where it leads to until they found a clearing and abandoned houses all around. This must be or was the village.
The damage is old with debris all around and D0g found a body, a body from one member of Adrian's team, the armor looked damage and chewed up, then Alita found the remains of a dead creature she has never seen before.
"Ant lion," said Gordon "Nasty creatures."
"If there is one, then there is usually more" said Alyx
"You mean like those," Alita pointed to what she had seen.
The others see what Alita has seen and then the ant lions charged upon the four of them looking for food to eat.
