Chapter: 188
Part One: One Punch Freeman
City-Z
In the middle of the abandoned area in City-Z a portal appeared out of thin air and stepping out of the portal is Gordon Freeman. The portal closed behind him afterwards. Looking around he felt like he is alone and Gordon used his suit to scan for any combine activity in this dimension. It wasn't long before he found nothing.
He grew curious of where he maybe at, Gordon started to walk as the paved ground cracked at his feet, the wind blew through his hair and he adjusted his glasses and then pressed onward. It seems this area has been abandoned for some time, the signs are both in English and Japanese to indicate he could be in Japan.
Up ahead he spotted something or someone coming towards him. At first glance it looked very weird like a black form body, green tentacles, and large eyes. The more closer he got, Gordon noticed the creature is right out of an old monster movie.
"I take it your not from around here." Said Gordon
"Nope," said the creature "I'm from out of town, I heard some crazy strong monsters are meeting here. Are you a hero" it asked?
"Oh just a typical warrior scientist," said Gordon
"Gee that's too bad for you," said the creature "I will have to kill you now."
Wordlessly Gordon drew out his gravity gun as the creature hesitated to what kind of weapon is that. Only for the creature to be lifted in the air and is unable to move, pulling the trigger the creature shattered into many pieces which rained down upon the street in a complete mess.
Gordon withdrew his gravity gun and kept on walking until he came upon a person with a shiny bald head, street clothes and had a empty bag with him. Gordon noticed despite this man's appearance, the air carried around him to indicate he is powerful.
"Hey, hows it going." Said Gordon
"Uh...did you kill that monster."said the man
"Yup," nodded Gordon
"Cool, you must be strong." Said the man "Are you with the Hero association."
"No, just a survivor." said Gordon "And I don't know what that organization is, have you heard of the Combine."
"No," said the man "I'm Sitama,"
"Gordon Freeman." Said Gordon
"Well I gotta go shopping, nice to meet you." said Sitama
"Sure thing," nodded Gordon
They just walked by each other and kept on moving in the opposite directions. Gordon continued to walk and turned to head down the street. Only to hear running to his right and two people stop in their tracks. Two men in odd looking getup.
Gordon didn't know who these two are, but they are Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio A class heroes sent to investigate monster sightings.
"Excuse me sir," said the man "Have you seen any monsters in the area."
"Just the one I killed" said Gordon "Other than that I haven't seen any more."
"Hey man you just stole our thunder," said the other man
"Relax Goldenball," said the man "We don't know who we are dealing with." He turned to his friend and then glance back at Gordon "I take you don't live here."
"Nope I'm from way, way," said Gordon "Out of town."
"So what's up with the get up and the symbol." Said Goldenball
"It's a long story and the symbol means freedom." said Gordon
"Such as," said the man
"Well would you believe I'm a warrior scientist, traveling from one dimension to another." Said Gordon "Warning about an alien empire bent on conquering other dimensions."
"No," spoke both at the same time
"Anyway the monster did mention about strong monsters meeting here " said Gordon "So good luck on finding them."
"Come let's go Goldenball," said the man
"Yeah we have wasted enough time already." Said Goldenball
Gordon just walked away from the two A class heroes.
The heroes association building City-Z, several hours later
The one free man found himself in this empty building of a corporate company called the Heroes association. No one else is around, some he helped himself to the information that is there. He read through the various files on the heroes and the history of this alternate Earth.
No mention of the Combine. He sipped a cup of coffee as there appears to be some sort of planetary emergency alert. Digging deeper into the information, Gordon discovered that a large astroid is soon going to hit the Earth. Punching in the numbers he would calculate it would hit a nearby area.
Getting up from his seat, he headed downstairs only to find he wasn't alone. A cyborg and a old man are there. They glanced at Gordon in wondering why this strange looking man is doing here.
"Before you two ask what am I doing here." Said Gordon "I'm just passing through and this building is empty anyway."
"Are you a part of the association," asked the old man?
"No, just a warrior scientist." Said Gordon
"The building has a security system," said the cyborg "How did you get in."
"I disabled the security system," said Gordon "Piece of cake."
"Not bad," said the old man "The hero association needs better security, unfortunately they won't do anything to you due to the current crisis."
"Ah, the astroid." Said Gordon
The old man goes on to explain, only afterwards he demonstrated a combat ability he has and the blonde cyborg had left in a hurry.
"I've seen better martial arts." Said Gordon
"Have you now." Said the old man
The rooftop
The people who used brute force to slow down and stop the astroid are the blonde cyborg Genos and Metal Knight. The old man known as Silver fang stands there. Suddenly the Hero known as Sitama. He leaps up and extended his fist right towards the astroid. He was about to strike, only for the astroid to change color like a bright white and his fist caused the object to explode.
To what as the white substance rained down everywhere. Afterwards Silver fang tasted the white substance that tastes like marshmallows. Even Sitama is surprised, even he didn't know he could do that. The city had been saved and Gordon walked near Silver fang and the blonde cyborg.
"If your wondering why it tastes like marshmallows," said Gordon "I simple fired a transmogfication beam, changing the molecular structure from an astroid to what you see now."
"Okay..." Spoke slowly Sitama
"So what's your hero name," asked Gordon "Captain Mustard."
"What," yelled Sitama
"No, the caped baldy." Chuckled Gordon
"Shut up," groaned Sitama
"You mean people won't be calling you one punch man." Said Gordon
Before Sitama can say more Gordon just walked off leaving them alone and everyone else.
