AN: Hi guys! As always, thank you for reading and your nice reviews.

I'm not sure if I'm going to leave it here or if I will continue it. In any case, I hope you like it!

After telling Sullivan all he knew about Andy's accident and condition, in which time the first had stayed quiet, Warren's phone rang and he put it on speaker.

"Ben, it's Miller. Andy's out of surgery. They won't let us see her yet, but Miranda says she's fine." Dean informed and Robert left out a sigh he didn't know he was holding. "That's great! Thank you." "How about you? Uh, did you find Sullivan?" Dean wondered.

"Yeah, we're on our way there." Warren simply answered, putting emphasis on his company as to avoid Miller from saying something inadequate in front of their suspended Battalion Chief. "Great! See you, then."

"How did you find me, by the way?" Robert inquired curiously, once they had ended the call. "Officer Reis pinged your phone. She was Tanner's partner a couple of years back and got stuck with some of us in a smart garage."

"She what?"

Hoping that the man he still considered his boss wouldn't get too pissed off, Ben rambled. "She pinged your phone. I asked her to ping your phone...as a favor. She knew Tanner cared about Andy. So I hoped that she'd do that...for him."

"I got that part. I meant, the part of the… you said smart garage?"

Warren was surprised of his superior's apparent indifference about him making a police officer violate his privacy without a warrant, but he took advantage of his luck and begun to tell him the story. "Oh, Reis and Tanner were assisting us in what we thought was an easy fire in the house of a couple who was having some… differences. There was a mistake with the security code, and they got trapped in their garage, designed as a safe box, with the wife, and a few of our own, including Andy."

"How did you get them out?"

"They made a bomb." The short statement earned a look of disbelief that made Ben smile before he continued. "With a water heater and gasoline from the car parked inside."

"Really?"

"Yeah, it was Andy's idea."

Robert chuckled. "Of course it was".

"Look I know I'm probably the last person you want to be with right now, but I need you to know that I never wanted to hurt you… or Andy." Ben uttered, out of the blue, wishing he hadn't run out of luck. "It's ok, Warren. I was ready to do what you did. I just… postponed it… for a couple of reasons."

"So I've heard, but Andy...she's been suffering and I feel bad. I tried to talk to her… but she was mad at me and… I don't know, I just wanted to tell you that I never meant for all of this, whatever this is between you two, to happen." Warren let everything that had been hunting him out. No doubt, he was comfortable with his decision to make him come clean, and yet, he felt the need to apologize to both of them. Even more, after talking to Andy and realizing how all of this had affected her in ways he hadn't expected. "I don't know what you think this is, but I can assure you it's not your fault." Sullivan stated, eyes fixed on the window. "Whose fault is it, then?"

"Mine probably… I don't really know."

"She just talks to Miller lately. But I overheard them once… unintentionally." He rushed to clear out, when Robert turned to stare at him, accusingly. "She was feeling guilty… for whatever happened and for not being on her best, when you needed her."

"She was grieving." Sullivan excused her, turning one more time to face the window. "I know, but she still feels responsible… and for turning you down, when you asked her for help."

"She's not responsible for anything I did or didn't do." The chief concluded, firmly.

"Again, I know. I'm just saying that maybe it'd be good for her to hear you say that."

"Oh my God..." She blinked a few times as to check that what her eyes were seeing was real. "You're here…" At that point, she was barely holding her tears. "I am. How are you feeling?" Robert asked, calmly. "I'll live." She just answered, before she lost it. "Hey, it's ok. Don't cry. Do-do you want me to leave?"

"No! God, no. That's not… I've missed you… a whole lot...and I'm..." She managed to say between sobs. Sullivan wasn't sure of what to do. What he supposed to hug her? That was what he wanted to do, but did she want him to hug her? Because he wasn't even sure if they were still a couple. Their fight had been enormous, and she didn't want to see him again or that was what she had said to him, quite loudly actually. Then Miller had told him she was sorry and now there he was, sitting a few inches from her hospital bed and not daring to touch her. As a relief as it was to see her awake and responsive, he was a loss of words, so he just waited for her to regain her composure, while he tried to gather his thoughts. Meanwhile, Herrera was having her own internal battle. Had she lost him forever? He wasn't even trying to calm her down. Was he ok? He was still using a cane. Had he come willingly? And if not, how was she going to get him back? All of this was way too much to think with the headache she was having, so she just decided to hold her hand out and waited for what it felt like ages for him to hold it back. He did, eventually and she thanked his response with a teary smile. "I've missed you too." He ventured to confess a while later, eyes fixed on his lap and pain evident in his voice. "I'm so sorry, Robert… after how I behave, you sitting where I should've been a few weeks back is the last thing I expected to happen today." She declared, apologetically, new fresh tears rolling down her cheeks. "I wasn't on my finest behaviour either…" He recognised, caressing the back of her hand with his thumb. "And I'm sorry too. I know it's not enough, but…" He trailed off.

"It is." She cut him, squeezing his hand a little. "It's more than enough." At least, it was for now. Her husband nodded at her, and smirked at her next words.

"I like the beard."
