Hi guys before we start this chapter here what is my idea about this fic. Let's all be honest in comparison of writing style Hunter X Hunter stomps Fairy Tail. Togashi has always a different result and philosophical way to end a huge arc while Mashima got stuck in recycling the old answer over and over and thank god that in Eden Zero he doesn't do that anymore, it has some elements but is not in our face like Fairy Tail is.
So in this story I want Fairy Tail also to grown because just so you all know once they heard about the king and the royal guards, people like Natsu, Gray, Erza, Gajeel and even Gildarts are gonna be like ´´Oh this is no problem just tell me where he is at that I will kick his ass´´ and it will be like NO. Just a big no there. The Hunter X Hunter characters are gonna tell them to stop to follow their usual style of fighting and do theirs otherwise people will die, this isn't like suffrage or bad omes for the kingdom no it can mean the end of the Humanity. And I know is gonna be a while before I put the royal guards and the Mereum but of course they are stronger than all of the Fairy Tail mages, Pitou alone could massacred them in one afternoon. So is gonna be a lot of tension and maturity, I´m still gonna keep the jokey moments because is Fairy Tail but I guarantee that this war is gonna leave more impact on them, unlike what Tartaros, The end of the Tournament and the final war. This will be the change of they to grow. Since I got that out of my system, please enjoy the next story.
It's been two weeks ever since Gon and Killua had joined Fairy Tail and overall they were liking the place. Taking aside the shouting, the fighting and the weird friendship that they had it was a good place to hang out. The two found a hotel that they could stay for at least a few months while they were in Fiore.
In the guild they were very friendly (Gon for the most part) with Mira, Erza, Natsu, Gray, Wendy, Lucy, Juvia, Levy, Happy and Romeo. They usually take jobs as a duo or to see who can do the most but over all they like Fairy Tail.
Right now, the two walk one morning to see what they can do about Ging and his history left in the guild.
''Hey guys.'' Said Gon
''Sup.'' Said Killua.
''Hi Gon, hi Killua. Do you guys want something to eat?" Asked Mira with a smile
''Just give my usual plate.'' Said Killua sitting on a table with Gon
''You know what I like Mira.'' Said Gon with a smile.
''Alright.'' Said Mira picking their orders
Soon Mira walked back with a tray with two full plates.
''Here I have Gon meats and potatoes mashed. With a side of vegetables for good health.'' Said Mira giving Gon a plate with a giant steak, smashed potatoes and steam vegetables.
''Thanks Mira.'' Said Gon smiling.
''And Killua here is your chocolates and cakes, plus your regular soda.'' Said Mira giving Killua that mountain of sugar. She keeps telling him not to eat that stuff for breakfast, but he doesn't listen it.
''thanks.'' Said him
The two started to eat up like they haven't eat in days. Mira liked that they were eating but she didn't tolerate such bad manners.
'I gotta say you two are doing pretty well around here.'' Said Mira smiling
''Yeah. I like this place a lot.'' Said Gon while eating
''Doing this mission is kind fun. Is easier than the hunter mission that take a eternity to finish.'' Said Killua and the funny thing is he just got his license not even a year now.
''I see that. So, what are you two planning to do today?" Asked Mira.
''I guess we will start looking for more clues about Ging. Maybe we will find something old around here that talks about what he did in the guild.'' Said Gon
''Agreed. If Gon dad used to hang out around here, then maybe we can find something that can lead us to where he went next.'' Said Killua.
''You can check the library. All the people who were once in Fairy Tail has a register there.'' Said Mira with a smile.
''Really! Thanks Mira you are the best.'' Said Gon with a smile
Soon more people arrived at the guild including Natsu who was still angry at Killua
''There you are Killua. Fight me!'' Scream him only to the silver hair kid disinterest.
''Sorry Natsu I´m eating.'' Said Killua not interested into fighting Natsu just now.
''This is nothing. I´m coming either way. AAAAAH.'' Scream Natsu with a fist full of fire.
But then Killua electrocuted Natsu very strongly and made him collapse to the ground
''Shut your mouth.'' Said him all cold.
Natsu was took out very easily and that amused everyone at the guild.
''Wow he took out Natsu yet again.'' Said Macao with a smile
''Yeah. Kid got spirit.'' Said Wakaba
Soon more people were arriving including Wendy with Charla.
''Hi boys.'' Said Wendy smiling at them
''oh, hey Wendy'.' Said Killau
''Do you want some meat?" Asked Gon offering some of his food.
''No, I´m fine. I just wanna sit with you guys for a moment.'' Said her with a smile
''that's ok.'' Said Gon
''How is your nen training?" Asked Killua.
''So, I haven't able to lock my aura yet, so I need to keep trying until something appears.'' Said Wendy all proud of herself for all the hard work that she has been getting in order to achieve nen.
'''I can't believe you actually went with this Wendy. For what they said Nen is dangerous and yet you want to have this power?" Asked Charla
''I need it to be stronger. I´m not like Natsu, Gajeel or Laxus. My Sky dragon is powerful, but I need something more.'' Said Wendy
''is not like winning some power boost. Nen has a price don't you forget.'' Said Killua warning Wendy
Ever since the two arrived at the guild they have been guiding everyone on how to have nen. Lucy, Wendy, Natsu, Erza, Happy, Gray and Gajeel were some of the few that ask for having proper nen training however none of them manage to unlock their aura yet.
Soon Lucy joined the group of teens and had her own thoughts about nen and the lunatic way of training that it takes.
''Come Lucy we can still talk about your nen training.'' Said Gon
''Sorry Gon, while I appreciate your offer, I think I stick with my spirits.'' Said Lucy all simple.
''You mean these guys?" Asked Killua holding a set of keys.
Lucy then looked that Kilua had steal her keys. She storms out and grab her celestial friends. She looks at the young Zoldyck with a glare. Like Natsu and so many others of the guild, Killua loved to tease Lucy.
''I still think nen might not be for me. Think I will stick to my spirits.'' Said her still angry.
''You need really need something outside your body and these keys to survive outside.'' Said Kilua with a smirk
''Stop picking on me!'' Said Lucy in tears.
''No.'' Said Killua showing his tongue to Lucy.
''Urgh.'' Said Lucy annoyed
Everybody then saw Erza Scarlet walking towards them. Seeing that Titania in the morning was a good thing for them
''Good morning everyone.'' Said Erza walking toward the hunters.
''Oh, hey Erza.'' Said Gon
''Gon, Killua how is everything?" Asked Erza sitting next to the duo.
''We are good.'' Said Killua al simple.
''We did a couple on of jobs and got enough money to stay here for a while.'' Said Erza.
''that's good to know. So how is your quest about your father?'' Asked Erza
Gon was keeping that as his main task. Ging left some jobs unfinished here in Fiore and he wanted Gon to finish so he can have the next clue.
''So far nothing about him or the jobs he took.'' Said Gon
''We went to the main district and none knows about some unfinished job.'' Said Killua
''Wow you guys found nothing.'' Said Lucy
''Your father is difficult to find.'' Said Natsu now back to his senses.
''Tell me about it.'' Said Gon a little sad and that's when Natsu decided to cheer him on.
''But don't worry Gon soon we will get you to meet your old man and then you two can hve a nice sparing session like all family have.'' Said Natsu.
''Thank you Natsu.'' Said Gon feeling a lot better now.
''Yeah Gon be ok. Everything is going to be fine.'' Said Happy landing on Gon head.
''Sure happy.''' Said Gon smiling at the exceed on top of him.
''Aren't you gonna cheer your friend?'' Asked Lucy to killua who was still eating his sugar.
''He doesn't need that right now.'' Said Killua seeing Natsu, Happy and Wendy were doing his job for now.
He only does a hidden smile to see that now he has more friend outside just Gon, Leorio and Kurapika to call upon.
Later that day
Gon and Killua were walking in the street of Fiore in search for more clue of Ging jobs. Unfornatly nothing, so they decided to head back to the guild.
''What do you think of Fairy Tail?" Asked Gon.
''Is fun for what they offer.'' Said Killau all simple.
''Yeah, they are pretty cool. They are like one big crazy family.'' Said Gon with a smile
''They are more fun than my family for sure.'' Thought Killua.
''Well I think they are a great there are some traits that don't go for me. Like Natsu challenging me every time.'' Said Killua
''Well is good see someone eager to fight you.'' Said Gon with a laugh
''Exactly and I don't like that. He is strong but if I'm gonna fight I wanna have to use my head'' Said Killua.
Gon laugh at his friend remark as the two then proceed to talk about Ging.
''What clues did you found so far? We can't be that low.'' Asked Killua.
''Very few. I know when Ging was almost a member and who he took jobs with, but according to all the people around the town they don't have any recollection of any unfinished job.'' Said Gon.
''How about we see the history file of the guild? Maybe there is something there about Ging.'' Said Killua with a random idea.
''Good plan. That's why you are good with these things Killua.'' Said Gon now excited.
''Thanks.'' Said killua smiling.
Gon and Killua went back running to the guid were they found Makarov in his usual spot drinking some beer.
''Hey master.'' Said Gon.
''Oh Gon, Killua what do I own this surprise?'' Asked him.
''Listen here we need to see all the files of the unfinished jobs of the guild.'' Said Killua direct to the point.
''Uh the unfinished jobs.'' Asked Makarov with a raised eyebrow.
''Yeah if Ging said he had unfinished business here in Fiore than maybe he was referring to his old guild jobs. So, can we see the files and check on every job Ging did
''Sure, go right ahead kids.'' Asked Gon
''Do you know where they are put?'' Asked Gon
''No, I'm already busy with so many things on my plate that is impossible for me to keep track on in the guild. You see I'm still old man.'' Said Makarov with a tired voice
''Or you are just lazy...'' Said Killua with Makarov only making a quirky smile
''Yes, you right. But I don't know where the unfished jobs are.'' Said Makarov
''Maybe I can help.'' Said Levy hearing the conversation and the two hunters were happy to see the bookworm of the guild.
''Sure Levy. Take them with you all keep them busy all day long'' Said Makarov
''Yes sir.'' Said Levy
Later Levy took both Gon and Killua to the library.
''This is our library.'' Said her showing all the books in there
''Wow is huge.''' Said Gon impressed
''never was a big fan of books.'' Said Killua
''Oh, don't say that!'' Scream Levy feeling insulted for that.
''Look I was being trained ever since I started to walk. The first time I saw books they were being used to beat me up, I learned some good quotes from a beefy book of English poetry that my brother keeps bashing on my head.'' Said Killua remembering those training days.
''You had a rough life.'' Said Levy horrified.
''Tell me about it.'' Said Killua
Levy then pulled out a ladder and started to look over the files and trying to find under ``unfished jobs``.
''Ok unfinished jobs is around…. here.'' Said her finding the file
Soon a ton of papers fall down burying both Gon and Killua once levy went down, she saw the mess that they caused.
''Wow this is a mess.'' Said Levy with a sweat drop.
''I thought Fairy Tail always finished their jobs with pride.'' Said Gon confused to see so much unfinished jobs lying around there.
''We do, but sometimes we see that a problem is too big to handle so we bail out.'' Said Levy with a chuckle.
''So how are you all still free from the cops?'' Asked Killua but Levy decided to ignore that comment.
''Well the names are all here.'' Said Levy pointing at the part of every job had someone name in it and who took it.
''But Ging wasn't a member.'' Said Gon.
''We check the records; he was most likely with Gildarts for the most part.'' Said Levy
''Alright so we have a clue now.'' Said Killua.
''I guess we need to start with the ones that represent Gildarts time in the Guild.'' Said Killua with a basic idea.
''Mind if I help?'' Asked Levy offering to help the two.
''Yes. With more people helping we can finish this quickly.'' Said Gon
''Good idea.'' Said Killua
''Let's do this boys.'' Said Levy smiling at them.
Killua then got an idea in his head that would make everyone in the guild go and help them out in their quest into finding Ging old quest files.
''Levy tell the others that if they do this. I agree to help them in any kind nen related question that they have or if they wanna brawl with me.'' Said Killua surprising the two others
''Why are…'' Asked Gon confused but Levy understood his plan.
''Good idea Killua. If they heard this offer guys like Natsu, Gray and Gajeel will go around and help us for hours even tought they hate to this kind work.'' Said Levy smiling.
''Yes, I know. You can easily trick battle nutjobs into doing your job for you.'' Said Killua
Levy only smile at this, Killua was actually pretty smart for a little boy
''They will listen. I know they will.'' Said Killua to levy.
''Yeah you´re right. If there is one thing Fairy Tail love is to learn news way into fighting people.'' Said Levy going to the main hall
Later that day
Most of Fairy Tail spent over 3 hours looking at the old files trying to find any clues about Ging unfinished jobs at the guild and so far they far almost nothing, just a few papers.
''Come on'' Said Lucy looking at the unfished jobs
'I found one.'' Said Killua finishing one with Gildarts name.
''You know this would be easier if you let me burn these papers.'' Said Natsu irritated as he kept looking at the files.
''I think I found…. false alarm.'' Said Wendy all sad.
''Aye. I thought there would be some fish in here.'' Said Happy all sad
''That wasn't my plan for the day either'' Said Gray pissed
''Focus on the task!'' Said Erza silencing everyone.
''Yes Erza.'' Said most of the mages
Lucy was impressed to see that Fairy Tail had failed so many S class quest. This wasn't like the guild that she knows and love.
''So many S class quest unfished.'' Said Lucy surprised.
''Yes when gildarts was our S class mage he didn't have time to do most of them. With Erza and Laxus being our only members active was kind hard to do most of them. I retired, Mystogan was always off and Gildarts in his quest it was kind hard to Fairy Tail impress the others guild with their S Class questions.' Said Mira with a smile as she looks over the papers.
''Mira is right. I thought I was gonna become one at a certain point and all we got was being stuck in time for seven years.'' Said Cana.
''Maybe if we look at the ones that Gildarts was the one that requested the job maybe we can find something in there.'' Said Killua.
''Good idea if Ging hang out with Gildarts a lot and was a hunger for adventure. Maybe there is a chance we can find some clues there.'' Said Erza
''Nice.'' Said Gray liking this plan
''So, let's do this!'' Said Natsu
So they all did that and follow the orders of Erza and soon this hard ass job became very fun.
''Found one.'' Said Gon
'''Another one'' Said Killua
''Same here.'' Said Lucy
''Me too.'' Said Natsu
Soon everybody got what they found. Leading to a total of…
''8 request! '' Said the entire guild. They look all that crap and only found 8.
''Wait lest see closely. Maybe we can see which one it was the ones that Ging took.''' Said Erza
Erza went closely and check the data of these jobs. Apparently Ging didn't wanna leave any kind trace of his presence anywhere.
''This one is not it. It's said only GIldarts took it, these others we should take it off.'' Said her looking over the quest one by one
So, it was in the end a total of…
''Three quest!'' Said the guild. Those were the unfinished jobs of Ging.
''Maybe those are the ones that Ging helped take in and couldn't finish'' Said Lucy
''So, what we do know?'' Asked Wendy
''I guess we gotta do it.'' Said Gon
''Huh'' Said most of the guild taken back by that answer
''Hell yeah Gon. I like your way of thinking.'' Said Natsu already fired up.
''Aye sir, let's do this.'' Said Happy.
''Can these morrons shut up?'' Asked Killua irritated.
''Gon I don't think is too much. I mean S class quest are dangerous, people die doing these quests.'' Said Erza all serious to Gon, but the young hunter didn't see this way.
''Sorry Erza but I can't let this pass. Ging is counting on me to find him, so I need to this. He is counting on me.'' Said Gon very serious. 12-year-old and he was already more mature than most Fairy Tail men.
That took Erza by surprised, she never imagined Gon to be so bold and determined. This is how she like her friends.
''Ging is counting on me do finishes his jobs. So, I must do.'' Said Gon looking at the request.
That left Erza and the others a little bit off. Gon is strong but could he be S class Strong?
''But he nerves said that you need it to be alone.'' Said Natsu making a good point
''He is right.'' Said Gray also going near Gon
''So, if we help you then is gonna be quicker to find your old man.'' Said Killua
''Alright we got to help Gon finish these quests.'' Said Natsu all excited
''I guess this could be fun.'' Said Wendy
''What the job is about?' Asked Mira looking at one of the jobs
Mira upon looking at the request was shocked to see what was asking for it.
''Oh, my goodness!'' Said her scared, making everyone confused.
''What is wrong Mira?'' Asked Lucy
''Is about a village that is being attack by Brulgar.'' Said Mira shocking some mages.
''What is that?'' Asked Gon
''An S class monster?'' Said Gray now nervous
''Are they tough?'' Asked Gon
''Very. On the Grand Magic Games, I fought over 100 monsters and when it came to the S Class one he made me have a run for my money. Fortunaly I managed to beat him.'' Said Erza all calm.
''You beat 100 monster all by yourself!'' Scream Gon and Killua in shock
''I didn't make this far by just by being pretty.'' Said Erza with a smile
''You said that to whom?'' Thought both Natsu and Gray
''But what we do know? '' Asked Gon
''Let's ask the master. He will know what to do.' Said Erza
''Good idea.'' Said Lucy
At Makarov table.
''Oh yeah I remember this quest.'' Said him looking at one of the unfinished jobs of the guild.
''So, you remember?'' Asked Gon.
''Yes, this was back when Gildarts had just started. Ging had just come to town and the two were always together.'' Said Makarov
''Why do you think he hang around with Gildarts?'' Asked Gray
''Both of those boys bickered a lot to see who was the strongest. Gildarts had his crash magic of course, but Ging nen wasn't any joke. After a while they became some sort of rivalry that they deeply respected.'' Said Makarov remembering the relationship of Gildarts and Ging.
''I can see that.'' Said Erza amazed by that story
''I have almost no idea who this Gildarts guy is but he sure is strong for what you guys keep telling.'' Said Gon.
''Yes, Gildarts is the strongest member of our guild. Is our Ace in the hole.'' Said Happy
''Ha wait until I'm he comes back. I gonna beat him for sure.'' Said Natsu
''He is gonna send you flying to space.'' Said Killua
''Aye probably.'' Said Happy agreeing
''Stop being jerks!'' Scream Natsu
''So, master do you think we can do this quest?'' Asked Lucy
''Sure, but who is crazy enough to do this? I heard an army was destroyed trying to fight this thing.'' Said Makarov.
Despite his warning the group was only even more confident to move over.
''Master I would like that me and Killua will be assigned for this quest.'' Said Gon
''And team Natsu also. Since I will be there the situation will be under control.'' Said Erza
''We are also coming.' Said another voice and the group saw two new people. Gajeel and Juvia.
''Gajeel!''
''Juvia!''
''Why do guys wanna go?'' Asked Wendy
''Well if that is gonna help us find this brat dad, I wanna join in. Because I wanna fight him too in the future.'' Said Gajeel
''Also, I can't leave my beloved alone. Juvia needs to go where he goes.'' Said Juvia hugging Gray
''Oh, come on!'' Said Gray disgusted.
''She is like a plague.'' Thought Killua disgusted
''Well I can't see why not.'' Said Makarov with a smile
And soon Makarov approve the quest by both Team Natsu, team Gon, plus Gajeel and Juvia.
''Alright.'' Said Natsu all pumped.
''We depart tomorrow at Sunset.'' Said Erza
''But can we really do this?'' Asked Wendy a little afraid of the task.
''don't worry Wendy. We can do it.'' Said Killua making the girl feel better
''Yeah if you are like Natsu and Gajeel, you are hell of strong.'' Said Gon
''Thank you.'' Said Wendy smiling
''No problem.'' Said Killua
Makorov only look at the brats going off to their homes and only smiles. He remember the awkward and punk ass that was ging. Despite his fault he knew he was a good person, he just wished that he would stay more around the guild.
''Ging you made a wonderful son and I'm glad that he is following your footsteps.'' Thought Makarov
In a random area of the hunter association
The Zodiacs were having a meeting about the recent problems in the NGL. Apparently there was an ant infestation but not a simple ant infestation. Whatever was the case it was important. But Ging Fressc the Boar was almost sleeping in the meeting.
''Hey Ging wake up!'' Scream Saiyu
''What is it Monkey face?'' Asked Ging all pissed
''What is the deal with you today and….is that a tattoo?'' Asked Saiyu seeing a Fairy Tail mark in Ging arm. It was dark green and that took the Zodiacs by surprise.
''Yes, it is.'' Said him making all of them interested
''It looks like a phoenix or some sort of bird.'' Said Botobai
''Where did you get that?'' Asked Saccho
Ging had a quick flasback on the time he left Fairy Tail to continue his hunter exploration for the greed Island game
Flashback
A young Ging was walking away and was ready to leave the guild that he wasn't a member. While the master was ok with this a very young Gildarts clive wasn't.
''Come man stay.'' Said Gildarts
''I can't.'' Said Ging.
''At least let me put a mark on you.'' Said Gildarts making Ging stop in his track
''The old man says that you only can have a mark if you are a legit Fairy Tail member.'' Said Ging confused.
''Breaking the rules is also a fairy tail tradition. So where do you want?'' Asked Gildarts with a smirk
Ging was now with a smirk in his face. He loves things that he couldn't achieve, he wasn't going to be a member on Fairy Tail books but he will wear this mark as symbol of everything he spent around Fiore. Gildarts was right there with the stamp waiting for the dude answer.
''Put here.'' Said him pointing at his arm.
Present
''Is of a place that I stay for a while. Quite nice, but I couldn't stay there.'' Said Ging all relaxed
''Typical of you leaving people behind.'' Said Piyon while looking at her phone
''Oh, shut up!'' Said him all pissed
''By the way I heard someone beat the Greed Island game.'' Said Mizaistom
''Yeah, I heard it was a group led by a young hunter named Gon. Sounds familiar?'' Asked Saiyu with a smirk
Ging only smile at this. So Gon finished Greed Island, he is probably at Fiore right now. Dealing with Fairy Tail.
''What are you smiling Ging?'' Asked Cheedle.
''Urgh. That sometimes things that you don't wanna happen to you are gonna happen anyway. If my son was the one that finished the game than that's mean that we are close to meet up, something that I am not ready.'' Said him being totally honest
The Zodiacs knew Ging for a long time, they know he is a guy who loves a challenge so hearing him saying that he doesn't feel ready to meet up with his son is very surreal to hear. When this happen, they need to record this even.
''Guys we need to go back and talk about the Ngl ant infestation. It is out of the charts right now.'' Said Cheedle
''Really?'' Asked Kanzai
''What level is at?'' Asked Ginta
''level A.'' Said Cheedle making the others a bit nervous
'''Should we send a team of hunters to the Ngl?'' Asked Geru
''No, the chairman already sent someone.'' Said Cheedle
''Really you but who?'' Asked Cluck
''His name is Kite.'' Said Boto and that make Ging make a little smile
''Can he deal with this problem?'' Asked Kanzai
''Maybe. The queen probably will be the biggest problem so he will be fine.'' Said Piyon
The Zodiacs continue to talk about the ant infestation, however Cheedle felt a bad feeling about all this.
''Why do I get the feeling that this will be more than just a simple ant infestation.'' Thought her.
Cheadle keeps staring at the window as a little ant was climbing his way to the top of the huge building. Is fascination on how a tiny insect manage to endure so much pain and struggle despite all odds.
