Chapter 17: It's Hammer time!

Chelbell2016:

Sorry guys I know its been forever.

Courtney's POV:

I am at the command center where the connection between the cannon and the hammer seems to be growing. They are giving off lightning and it seems to be effecting the weather.

Rose kneels down and looks at them in surprise and amazement.

"Whatever the connection those two relics have is sending the mainframe into a tizzy," Mr. Hartford says from the computers and I glance at them to see them going all fuzzy and then back to normal before repeating the process.

Rose stands up and moves towards him. "Allow me," she says and she begins to press the buttons but it doesn't work. "That's weird. I've bypassed the main energy coupling and reinforced the firewall. That should've worked."

All of us had walked over to stand behind Rose. Ronny moves in between Dax and I.

"Allow me," she says before slamming her fist down on the console and the screen immediately goes back to normal. "It's all in the wrist."

"Now only if I knew where to send you guys," Mr. Hartford said moving around the computers. "The satellites aren't picking up any jewel signatures and the Yamanomi statue seems to be a dead end!"

"What about this face with the circle around it?" Rose asks taking the statue in her hands.

"I've run it through the database," Mr. Hartford says and I look at Rose who seems to be getting an idea. "Searching every ancient relic, work of art, monument. Doesn't match anything on Earth."

Rose seems to realise something and says. "Thats because its not on Earth."

I share a look with Dax and Ronny as Rose turns back to the computers. The computers beep and Rose smiles.

"BINGO!" She says and I see a face like the one on top of the Yamanomi statue. "The face of mars!"

I smile as Dax gets excited.

"The jewels on Mars?" He asks estatic. "We're going Sci-fi baby!"

Rose doesn't agree.

"I don't think the jewels on Mars Dax!" She tells him and I am grateful as I don't think space and magic agree. "I think the face on Mars is staring at the jewel. If we use the carbon dating from the statue, to correct for the orbitual flux. We get..."

She runs over to the globe and points to a spot. It highlights it on the screen as well. I recognize the area and speak.

"Mexico," I say smiling at Rose.

So we all head to Mexico. The hammer and Cannon are with us on the bikes and as usual, Rose, Mack, Tyzonn
and I are in the rover.

"Rose are we almost there?" Mack asks her.

Yeah," she says as she is the one driving. "Should be smooth sailing from here."

I groan. "Did you have to say that? Whenever someone says that..."

"LOOK OUT!" Tyzonn says and we see that Kamdor and Miratrix have appeared.

They blast the rover and I groan with the others as we are forced to stop. Ronny, Will and Dax quickly slam the brakes on their bikes.

"Give us the relics or meet your doom," Kamdor orders us as we get out of the rover.

"You guys never give up!" Mack says as we all line up.

"Say hello to our secret weapon!" Miratrix says to all of us.

She pulls out a magic hat.

"Is that supposed to mock me!" I growl before she throws it into the air.

Kamdor uses his ninja tricks to turn it into a monster. It then grows into a giant.

"A magician!" Ronny says and when I turn to her I shake my head.

"I've seen better looking people with magic," I tell her and then I look back at the monster. "Heck I am one!"

The others all nod in agreement.

"At least its not a mime," Dax says and he shivers in thought of a mime. "Those guys freak me out!"

"Yeah well I'm going to show him a few magic tricks!" I say pulling out my morpher and so do the others before we open them. "READY!"

"READY!" Everyone yells in agreement. "OVERDRIVE ACCELERATE!"

We finish morphing.

"SPENCER SEND THE ZORDS!" Both Tyzonn and I say into our morphers.

I pilot the sonic streaker. I'll call Azantys or brightstar if we need them.

"I have the cannon," Dax says as we take the relics to protect them.

"And I've got the hammer!" Ronny lets us know.

"DRIVEMAX MEGAZORD!" We all yell combining the zords together.

"Welcome to my magic show!" The magician says to us and I groan, we jump at him with the megazord. "Let's see what I've got inside my hat!"

He raises his hat, that he had taken off of his head, and a snake comes out and wraps itself around the megazord. They turn into chains and ground us. We cannot move the legs of the megazord.

Tyzonn, in the flashpoint megazord appears at our side. He fires at the fiend but he catches them on some sort of umbrella!

"ABRA KEDABRA!" He says twirling the umbrella, once he catches all of them he points it at the flashpoint. "There's a slight chance of showers!"

He blasts the megazord which in turn begins to explode and Tyzonn cries out.

"Tyzonn!" Rose says to him through his screen. "Prepare to transform!"

"DRILL DRIVER! SHOVEL DRIVER! TRANSFORM!" He yells and two of our auxillary zords come off and replace the arms of his megazord while his two replace them on ours. "COME ON!"

"CHARGE!" The magician yells brandishing a sword at us.

Tyzonn uses the auxillary zords to strike him twice!

"FIRE!" He says.

"THE SHOWS OVER!" Magician says as he is surrounded by electricity.

He blows up and I look at my friends. "Thats a magical ending!"

Everyone laughs at me including Tyzonn from flashpoint.

We are now walking back towards the coordinates we were given.

"That was exhausting!" Tyzonn says as he limps next to Ronny, who is carrying the hammer.

"Let's get moving before someone else comes looking for the relics," Rose begins.

"Does no one learn from experience!" I say thinking this is the second time that this will happen today.

Rose gives me a funny look until Will, who had his fingers to his ear listening for sounds, spoke. "Had to say something didn't you?"

A bunch of chillers appear. I sigh and look at Rose who smiles a little.

I see Ronny is closest to the relics.

"Ronny, guard the relics while we deal with these ice cubes," I tell her wanting to protect the relics and have as many fighters as we can.

"No problem!" Ronny says and she moves towards the cannon while holding the hammer.

The rest of us make noises and run at the chillers. I jump over them and turn while striking them. I kick them back before turning and blocking another. But one surprises me from behind and kicks me in the spine. I groan as I stumble a little. I quickly come to my senses and turn to block its sword.

I feel a slight flicker of magic behind me and I turn to see a very butch man approaching Ronny.

That cannot be who I think it is. While distracted I get hit with the blunt end of a sword and I go rolling across the ground away from the chillers.

"Ronny we need some help here!" Mack says as we are all on the ground and surrounded by chillers.

Ronny seems awed by the man but I can tell there is something not right even as he destroys the chillers.

I get to my feet and walk with the others towards the guy who now has the hammer and had destroyed the chillers with lightning.

"It's Thor!" Rose says but I have my doubts. "The god of thunder!"

All of a sudden there is a crash of thunder and it makes me think this is absolutely not the god of thunder.

"I let Thor use his hammer to help us," Ronny says and as Thor stares at the hammer I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow, he acts like he's never held the hammer before.

"It's really Thor!" Dax is estatic. "You look taller in the movies!"

Rose moves forward and pulls Ronny away from Thor before speaking, "But what about the mission?"

"He promised he would give it back!" Ronny says but as she turns and speaks to the douche he just smirks and says nothing. "Right, Thor? Right, Thor?"

His smile says it all.

I am stood glaring at the god of thunder and he looks sheepish but like he is not willing to hand it over. We are now at Hartford mansion and it looks like we may be here a while. Ronny and I are trying to deal with him and get him to give us the hammer back.

"You gave me your word on your honor!" Ronny says but the man just continues to eat.

"And in my mind breaking your word is worse then a lot of things!" I growl at him.

"Doesn't what we're saying mean anything to you?" Ronny tries again.

I am more annoyed as somehow he is blocking my magic from removing the hammer from his hand. I mean I didn't think Thor had magic. His mom, yes! Loki, yes! Thor, no!

"Not really!" He says and he flinches when I growl at him. "Honor is overrated! You need anger management therapy you know that?!"

"No because only certain people bring it out of me!" I snap.

Azantys walks in and Thor seems shocked to see a snow leopard walk into the room. Personally I hope Azantys bites him.

"Who's the pig?" Azantys asks disgusted.

I smirk but do not answer him. Apparently I am not the only one besides Ronny who is annoyed.

Spencer does not look happy as he sees Thor's feet on the table.

"God or no god!" He snaps pushing his feet down. "This is Italian smoked glass."

"Servant!" Thor says and I think I am going to sock him. "Bring me some cake!"

"I weep for your parents!" Spencer rolls his eyes.

Ah this is getting us nowhere!" Will says coming to my side. "I thought gods were supposed to be cool!"

"More like sleezeoids!" I say and Thor turns to glare at me.

"You should show me some respect!" He tells me getting to his feet.

I get right up into his face. "YOU SHOULD EARN IT! I KNOW MAGICAL AND REGULAR PEOPLE THAT WOULD TREAT BUTLERS WITH BETTER MANNERS! NOW GET YOUR FREAKING ACT TOGETHER AND GIVE US THE HAMMER!"

He shivers as he steps back. The room began to shake until Azantys places his paw on my kneecap to calm me down.

He spits near me and Will grips my elbow as I go to step towards him again.

"Freya!" Thor says looking at Ronny and I also look at her confused as Thor gets down on one knee and conjures up a jewel. "Why waste your time with these, uh mortals? Come with me. Be my bride and we'll spend eternity together galloping through the heavens."

"After what you pulled?" Ronny says yanking her hand out of his. "I trusted you and you made me look like a fool. I let down my team. Maybe I am a fool!"

Will places his hand on her shoulder.

"No he is," I say before leaning down on the table in front of him. "I am going to say this nicely once before I let you see what a fire ninja, and a mystic warrior can do. You give us the hammer, we get the jewel that belongs to the corona Aurora and we give it back to you. Otherwise I am going to find the smallest, darkest dimension in the whole nine realms and stuff you into it. If you think I won't... keep testing me!"

He seems to cringe back at my every work but when he registers with what I say he speaks happily.

"Did you say the Corona Aurora?" He says sounding shocked and when everyone nods. "The jewels of the gods? Why didn't you just say so before? Seeing as the lady asked so nicely... I'll be happy to help! Just tell me where they are."

I share a look with both Ronny and Will. I do not like his tone of voice.

We are now at the area where the jewel should be. The others had found a rock and Thor is now smashing his hammer against it trying to get the jewel. It's not working and the frown on my face is growing more and more.

"Ugh what's wrong with this thing?" He says looking at his hammer before beginning to smash it against the rock again. "I want that jewel."

Ronny approaches Mack and I as Thor continues to assault the rock.

"There's something really off here!" She says to us and I nod but continue to glare at Thor. "Why is Thor, the god of thunder, acting like a greedy little baby?"

"He gets on the wrong side of me one more time," I say and I swear my eyes glow yellow. "He'll cry like a baby. He is getting on my last nerve. Everything I know about Thor is clearly wrong."

"Still the real question is," Mack begins nodding at my comment. "When he breaks that rock, is he gonna give us the jewel?"

I go to comment again but decide against it. I am just working myself up more.

Thor starts smacking the rock over and over again. I growl lightly.

Dax, who had been listening, turns to us. "I am gonna go out on a limb and say no."

"You didn't think I was gonna sit on the sidelines did you?" Moltor, who had just appeared in front of us, says.

We all turn to him and stand ready to fight.

"We kind of hoped," Rose says to him.

"Get the relics," he tells the lava lizards. "ATTACK!"

"Ready?" Rose asks as we all grab our morphers off of our shoulders.

"READY!" We all yell.

"OVERDRIVE ACCELERATE!" We all yell and for the second time today we morph.

We all call our weapons and I have my drive bow and quiver with me. We run at the hot heads and begin to fight.

I jump on top of a hill and begin to fire at the lizards. I can see we are outnumbered.

"Thor a little help!" Ronny requests from the slime-ball.

"I'm busy!" Thor says.

"HELP THEM YOU COWARD!" I yell as I continue to try and shoot the lizards but I am being outnumbered and so are my friends.

He ignores me and I am shocked when a crash of thunder and flash of lightning hits the ground all around us. It sends us and the lava lizards to the ground. What happens next confuses me.

A man that looks exactly like Thor, right down to the long wavy blonde hair appears. I look back at the coward to see he is looking scared and seeing as I can shape-shift, things are becoming more and more clear to me.

The one on the mountain even has a shield and something tells me he is the real deal.

"HUH?" The others all say more confused then I am.

"What the...?" Will says.

"Thor?" Ronny says.

"Two Thor's?" Tyzonn says.

Moltor gets back to his feet and his lava lizards come to him. "I'm not afraid."

Thor jumps down and lands in front of hot head and his goons.

"That's a nice entrance!" Fake Thor says.

"Two Thors are too many!" Moltor says before disappearing and I notice fake Thor shaking as he holds the hammer in a defensive way.

"Power down!" Ronny says and we all demorph before approaching what I believe is the real Thor.

"He's an imposter!" The fake Thor, who is holding the hammer, tells us trembling with each word.

"Drop the act Loki!" Thor tells him.

"NO!" Fake Thor says.

I pull my wand out. "Allow me! FINISHIO!"

It works and with a flash of magic fake Thor turns into a brown headed weasel. I growl as he steps back, knowing he had been caught in the act.

"It's Loki," Rose says in shock but a hint of amazement. "The god of mischief."

He waves at us.

Ronny and I step towards him together and he looks even more scared now.

"You tricked me!" Ronny says to him.

"Oh now I will find a dark space for you!" I growl having had enough of this trickster.

"Okay," he says backing up slowly. "Technically I never said I was Thor. I just said nice hammer. It was a common mistake."

"Oh I am going to shove that hammer up...!" I stop myself as Thor seems to be trying not to laugh.

Thor grabs Loki from the back of his shirt.

"Hey you know me!" He says to Thor. "I'm a kidder! Look it's Odin king of the gods!"

As we all turn to look, he gets out Thors grip and turns to run away, but he takes off with the hammer.

"Hey he's got the hammer!" Mack says but before any of us can stop him he disappears.

"I can't believe I gave the hammer away!" Ronny says as we all sit down at the mansion.

"It's not your fault Ronny!" Mr. Hartford tells her as I smile at her. "It could have happened to any of us. We'll get it back!"

"Yeah and that slime-ball managed to trick my magic as well," I tell her and she nods in deep thought.

"Loki will never wilfully give up the hammer," Thor says and I look up at him. "He's been searching for it for years. In fact, the only thing he's ever wanted more is the goddess Freya!"

I look at Ronny and we both seem to have the same idea.

Oh it's payback time!

(3rd persons POV)

Ronny is sat in a boat on the water, she is in a lovely dress and is holding an umbrella like a proper lady.

"Oh how I wish Loki would come for me!" She says sighing deeply. "He's so handsome and so smart. And so.."

Before she can continue Loki appears at her side in a flash.

"So happy you changed your mind darling," he says to Ronny, before sitting back and relaxing in the boat. "Why the change of heart?"

"Well before I thought you were Thor," Ronny informs him with a look of slight disgust. "The muscle bound lug-nut. But now, I know it's really you. The brilliant, cunning Loki. My heart aches when you are absent."

Loki looks like his ego just grew four sizes. "You forgot devastatingly handsome. But don't fret. I forgive you. I have returned so we can be married. What's wrong my little love whistle?"

Ronny had turned away with a look of disappointment on her face.

They are now walking across the grass together.

"I want nothing more than to marry you," Ronny informs him with a look of longing on her face. "But I made a promise to Thor that I would work with these mortals."

"That is a problem," Loki agrees stroking his beard.

"If only we had something to offer Thor in return for my release," she tries to come up with a plan. "But what?"

"His Hammer!" Loki realizes. "I'll give him back his hammer. Then you and I can spend our honeymoon basking in Valhalla!"

Ronny jumps to her feet and reaches for the hammer. "Good idea!"

Loki pulls it away from her though.

"Before we do this I feel it wise to remind you," he says and Ronny looks a little restless. "That a commitment to a god cannot be reversed. You will be forever bound by your oath and forced to live the rest of your life with the sly, cunning, evil but perfectly brilliant me."

Ronny grips the hammer and tries to pry it out of his hands.

"It would be my..." she grunts and after a little more pulling she finally manages to pull it out of his hands. "Honor!"

He chuckles as she turns and throws it to Thor, who then walks away and disappears in a flash of lightning.

"I have waited thousands of years for this moment," Loki says to Ronny before pulling her into his arms. "Kiss me my love!"

Ronny reaches for some skin under her neck and pulls it back to reveal it was a mask and underneath is Spencer.

"I don't normally kiss on the first date," he says to Loki.

"What?!" Loki exclaims now disgusted. "THE SERVANT! I'VE BEEN TRICKED!"

"Exactly!" Spencer says to him and he is still smiling widely. "Oh and you asked for some cake! MISS COURTNEY!"

There is a noise and Courtney flames in behind Loki.

"Excuse me!" She says patting him on the shoulder and when he turns around she smashes the cake into his face. "Cake is served!"

She wipes her hands together before turning to Spencer. "Anything else?"

Spencer chuckles. "That will be all miss Courtney! Thats what he gets for calling me a servant!"

She nods and smirks before flaming out.

Courtney's POV:

Ronny, Thor and I approach the others back at the rock, I cannot keep the smirk off of my face from the fact that I helped trick the trickster and got my revenge.

Ronny chuckles. "One mythical hammer coming up!"

Everyone cheers and we all high five.

"Hey you two did it!" Rose says and I smile widely. "I can't believe you did it!"

"Hey no one tricks me and pisses of Courtney and gets away with it!" Ronny says and we high five.

"And no one calls Spencer a servant," I say and Mack nods. "In my opinion he has a bigger heart then some of the richest people I know!"

As I finish a bunch of beams rain down on us. As I didn't see them until it was too late I do not have time to defend us so all of us, including Thor hit the ground.

Ronny drops the hammer and Flurious and a bunch of chillers appear. We all get to our feet, this day is going from bad to worse.

"Touching!" Ice brain says and I glare at him as I regroup with the others. "Very touching! Sorry to ruin the moment!"

His evil laugh sends a chill down my spine. No pun intended.

"READY?!" I ask the others as once again I pull my tracker off of my arm.

"READY!" They reply.

"OVERDRIVE ACCELERATE!"

We all morph and run at the ice goons.

"ATTACK!" Flurious yells raising his staff and the chillers begin to run at us. Thor fights Flurious while we take on the chillers.

I jump over a bunch of them and turn to fight. I sweep the leg out from under one and twist to block the sword of another. Dropping down onto my back I throw the sword and then flip back to my feet.

"NINJA FLAME ATTACK!" I yell before throwing a bunch of flames at the foot soldiers and they explode. "Now that's hot!"

"RANGERS!" Mr. Hartford says to us and I stop to listen. "The fearcats are attacking the city. You need to split up!"

"You guys take the fearcats!" I tell Mack and then I look at Tyzonn. "Ty, Thor and I will finish off these ice cubes!"

Mack nods and so does Ty.

The others take off and I move to fight Flurious with Tyzonn. I throw a blast of magic at him that makes him stumble. Then I kick him at the same time that Thor had stepped back to avoid his weapon. I notice Thor rolls across the ground and picks up his hammer.

Realizing what he is doing I send a burst of magic into his hammer and the flames plus the energy from the hammer send out a blast that destroys all the chillers.

"Whoa!" Ty says when he sees the chillers destroyed. "Divine intervention!"

"You're a powerful god!" Flurious says speaking to Thor. "But when I get the jewels we'll see who has more power!"

He then disappears in a flurry of snow. My mother would kill me if she heard my terminology but lucky she's not around.

Tyzonn and I approach Thor. Tyzonn speaks. "Thanks Thor."

Thor holds out his hand and first Ty and then I shake it.

Tyzonn joins the others and I send the sonic streaker and together with a blast of Thor's hammer, they destroy the robot to fearcats had built.

We are now once again stood at the rock where the coordinates had sent us. We are all stood in a line.

"So if the cannon doesn't work alone..." Mack begins.

"And the hammer doesn't work alone..." Will continues rubbing the back of his neck.

"It would make sense to use them together!" Ronny exclaims as we all come to the same conclusion at the same time.

"Smart!" Dax agrees.

He picks up the cannon and Ronny approaches with the hammer.

"Hold onto your lunch pails and cross your knuckles!" Dax says and I roll my eyes at him.

We all hold the cannon together as Ronny inserts the hammer into the firing hole. Together we then aim it at the rock. Unfortunately we are all knocked backwards by the shockwave that is the only one still standing as the rock explodes.

We all get to our feet to see the hammer had shot out of the cannon and had decimated the rock when it came into contact. We all laugh and run over to see some sort of compass. Everyone had cheered for Ronny along the way which made her smile a lot.

Tyzonn, who had picked the compass up, blew on it to get rid of the dust.

He then runs his tracker along it and tells us the reading. "Well it's not the jewel but its something important."

Ronny heads over to Thor and returns his hammer to him.

"HEY THOR!" I yell as the guy is about to leave. "If you ever need someone to handle Loki! Give me a call!"

He chuckles and bows so I curtsy like a proper lady.

"It would be my honor," he says and we all chuckle. "Maybe you can knock some manners into him! Good luck on your quest rangers!"

He then takes off and disappears in a flash of lightning.

"Let's get this relic back to the mansion!" Mack says and we all agree with him.

"NOT SO FAST!" Moltor says before shooting lightning at us.

I raise a shield but he keeps shooting till it goes through. I groan as we all hit the ground.

"I'll take that!" Moltor says and I look up to see that he is holding the compass.

He then disappears.

"NO!" Tyzonn yells as we all get to our feet and rally around him.

Not good.
