I'm using my OCs from Secrets and Superheroes for this one shot and a minor spoiler warning for a future chapter of that story. You'll find out why in the one-shot.
Ricky and Tracy still haven't spoken to their father since he told them the truth about their past. Tracy didn't want to eat Thanksgiving dinner at their father's house because it brought back too many memories. She didn't want to go home to her "parents," aka Aunt Addison and Uncle Mace's house either, since she was upset with them since they knew that Matias was her birth father but never told her.
"Hey, Tracy, are you supposed to leave soon to go to Thanksgiving dinner at your father's house?" Wheeljack asks.
"No, I'm not going," Tracy replies, "Thanks a lot, Wheeljack, because of you, Seaspray just died due to a crit since you distracted me, causing me to click the wrong move," Tracy continues.
"Seaspray isn't even here. He was sent to the Allspark. What are you doing anyway?" Wheeljack replies.
"I'm playing a Nuzlocke run of Randomize Pokemon Emerald Rom I downloaded on my phone, and Seaspray is the nickname I gave my Carvanha," Tracy replies as her Trainer. She names Prime runs back to the pokémon center, and puts Seaspray in the dead box she called the Allspark.
"What is a Nuzlocke?" Wheeljack asks.
"It's a set of rules created to make the pokémon more of a challenge to players who already have played the game before," Tracy replies.
"What are the rules," Wheeljack says.
"You have to nickname all your Pokémon. If a Pokémon faints, it's considered dead, and you can't use it anymore. You can only catch the first Pokémon you encounter on each route," Tracy says.
"Are there any more?" Wheeljack says.
"Yes, like not using Item in battle, no over leveling past the gym leaders ace pokémon and switching the battle mode to set," Tracy says.
"Are you using any of those as well," Wheeljack says.
"Just no over leveling, and I have the battle mode on set," Tracy says.
Wheeljack wants to learn more about a pokémon nuzlocke, so he turns on his holoform and heads up to the lounge area. The holoform stands behind the armchair to see over Tracy's shoulder. Her current team is Ironhide the Steelix, Bluestreak the Swellow, Blades the Flygon, Jazz the Venipede, Mirage the Charizard, and Arcee the Makuhita.
"How did you find all these names to use anyway?" Wheeljack asks after seeing her current team displayed on the screen.
"I asked the others for names of other Cybertrions they knew before the war. I have them written down in the notepad," Tracy says, handing the pad to him.
Tracy got to the third gym and added Huffer the Slowbro to her team. She caught several other team members. The nicknames of the members are Howl, Snarl, and Kickback. She got through the gym battle with losing a member. It was a tight victory since Tracy had to explain to Wheeljack was STAB meant and how to tell when a mon was in crit range.
Tracy had to save the game as she entered Lavaeridge town since her battery was low. Tracy hadn't told anyone about the sharp pains she felt in her stomach the past few days since the pain medicine she's been taking did dull it enough to where she could go through her day and not be bothered by it. Tracy did go to ER in amber Beach, but the doctor didn't run any tests. He just told her to suck it up. The pain she was experiencing was period cramps. Tracy tried to explain to the doctor that this pain wasn't from that since she had learned how to track her cycle. The doctor didn't listen and just told her to go home and take some pain medicine.
Just then, her father and June get out of Ratchet's alt mode. They walk up the step to see Tracy drop to her knees and try not to cry as another sharp wave of intense pain flow through her body. A few moments later, her body finally had enough, and her phone slips out of her hand and lands on the floor as she collapses, landing on her side. Everyone rushes over to her, and Matia checks her pulse, and its was racing. June placed her hand on Tracy's forehead, and she had a fever.
"What are we doing? We need to take her to see Ratchet," Wheeljack says.
Matias carefully picks up his daughter and heads to the medical bay.
"By the Allspark, we need to get her to the hospital. She is suffering from appendicitis," Ratchet says as the results of Tracy's scan appear on the screen.
"What's appendicitis?" Wheeljack asks.
"It's when an inflammation of the appendix occurs," June says.
"What the appendix," Wheeljack asks.
"It's a finger-shaped pouch that projects from the colon," June says.
"We need to get her to the hospital before it ruptures," Matias says.
Mitas helps his daughter into the passenger seat of Ratchet's alt mode. Then Ratchet drives as fast as possible to the hospital with his serins on full blast. Wheeljack gives June a ride as he tries his best to follow Ratchet. After Ratchet arrives at the ER, Matias rushes in, carrying his unconscious daughter in his arm.
Everyone sits down in the waiting room and anxiously waits for the doctor to walk out. Twenty minutes later, he walks out, and Matias goes over to him.
"Doctor is my daughter going to alright," Matias asks.
"Yes, the surgery went as well as we hoped it would," The doctor says.
"Can we see her?" Wheeljack asks.
"Yes, but one at a time, her body is weak from fighting the infection; she needs to rest," The doctor says.
Ricky, Ashley, and Bobby sprint into the room and their shoes slide on the slick hospital floor. June, Ratchet, and Wheeljack grabs them by their arms to stop them from running into Matias.
"Calm down, you three; Tracy will be fine," Matias says.
"Dad, you said it was Appendicitis, which is serious if it ruptures," Ricky says.
"Yeah, we were so afraid that our best friend could have died," Ashley says.
"Her appendix did burst. The surgery went fine. She'll have to stay here for a couple of days," Matias says.
"I have a question. If Tracy has so many doctors in her family, why did she keep this a secret?" Wheeljack asks.
"She didn't keep it a secret; I'm her roommate. She was in pain two days ago, and she went to the ER in Amber Beach," Bobby says.
"Why didn't they run tests there?" Ratchet asks.
"The doctor who saw Tracy didn't bother. He just assumed because she is a young woman, the pain she felt was just period pains," Bobby says.
"Did she speak up to say that it wasn't?" June asks.
"She told me that she did, but the doctor still didn't do anything," Bobby says.
"So, my daughter needed an open appendectomy due to that doctor's ignorance," Matias snaps.
"Matias, I know you're frustrated, but especially today, you should be grateful that Tracy will be alright," June says.
"What's so special about today? Isn't it just Thursday," Wheeljack says.
"This Thursday is special since it is Thanksgiving," Bobby says.
"What's Thanksgiving?" Wheeljack and Ratchet says.
"It's a holiday, where we take the time out of our busy lives and are supposed to be grateful for what we have," Bobby says.
"Shouldn't you do that every day?" Wheeljack asks.
"We should, but most people are so focused on other things, they need one day of the year to remind them to do it," Bobby says.
"Ricky, why don't you go and see your sister. I will see if I can sue that doctor at the Amber Beach hospital," Matias says.
Ricky walks into Tracy's room and over to the bed. Tracy groans in pain as she starts to sit up. Ricky helps his sister out by placing another pillow behind her back.
"Thanks, bro, and I'm sorry that I ruin Thanksgiving," Tracy says.
"It's fine. Dad probably would have burnt the turkey anyway. Mom did the cooking," Ricky says.
"Yeah, this Thanksgiving will be strange, especially for you, since mom isn't here anymore," Tracy says.
"Yeah, but I'm thankful that you are still here," Ricky says as he gently hugs his sister.
