Down the street, Kate is leaving the coffee shop, just having had a few minutes with her friend MJ. Kate thinks Peter is cute, but the visible age difference between them makes things weird. He definitely looks younger than her, yet he looks old enough to be older than her. Walking down the street and looking for advice, she calls Clint, who picks up after a few rings.

"Kate?" Clint asks. "Everything okay?"

"Yahhh, I think so," Kate replies.

"No Tracksuits pokin' their noses where they don't belong?" Clint asks.

"Not that I know of," Kate says, "so either we took care of them or they're being a lot more careful."

"What are you calling for?" Clint questions. "Are YOU okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," Kate says. "Just… I have a question."

"Shoot."

"You're married," Kate sets the background, "so clearly you're an expert in relationships."

"Clearly."

"Whiiich leads me to my question," Kate says. "There's this boy, okay? And I don't know how old he is, but he looks like he could be either younger than me or older than me."

"What do you want me to do about it?" Clint asks sarcastically. "Get the Infinity Stones and snap reality so you're the same age?"

"If you could, that'd be great," Kate says, "because I can't tell if he's 18 or 25, you know?"

Clint is speechless and has no idea how to respond, so he DOES not respond. This is not the sort of thing he was expecting when Kate called.

"Clint?" Kate asks. "You there?"

"I mean…" Clint begins, trying to figure out what to say, "Look, Kate, the thing is, I'm an Avenger. A fighter. I don't put a lot of focus into dating norms and exact ages like that, okay?"

"Okay," Kate says, "but I'm not at my question yet."

"What is it?" Clint asks.

"I kind of want to ask him out," Kate explains, "but I have no idea how to make him like me enough for him to do that on its own. How do I ask him out?"

"Simple," Clint says. "Offer to buy him lunch. You live in New York, you can go out with him for coffee one morning or something."

"Then what?" Kate asks. "That gets us together. What do we do?"

"Have you ever been on a date before?" Clint inquires.

Kate is silent, answering the question without speaking.

"What do we know about this boy?" Clint asks, becoming protective.

"He's really cute," Kate says. "And awkward. That's cute."

"What else?" Clint inquires. "Is he a quality guy? Is he gonna stay or is he gonna dump you the moment someone prettier comes along?"

Kate fake-gasps. "Are you saying there are girls prettier than me?"

"I'm not answering that," Clint responds. "So, is the only thing we know about this guy is that he's cute? Do we know what he's into? You know, cuteness isn't a reason to date someone."

Indirectly answering no, Kate adds, "His name's Peter Parker."

"So, you know a cute boy named Peter Parker," Clint says. "Check out his social media, look at his Facebook, send him an email. Figure out what he likes to do."

"How old are you?" Kate reacts.

"Excuse me?" Clint sounds offended.

"Uh, never mind," Kate says. "So, he doesn't have any followers on social media. No posts. Nothing on Instagram, nothing on Twitter, nothing on Tumblr. Nothing."

"Here's what you gotta do," Clint advises. "Ask him to get coffee with you or go out to lunch with you. Learn about what he likes from his socials. His aspirations, his thoughts on life in general, stuff like that. Talk with him. And just… see how it goes, have fun with it, just don't do anything you're not supposed to. And let everything happen naturally. But set his cuteness aside, it's just one aspect of him."

"This is all very helpful," Kate says. "You're a good dad, you know that? You'll be a good resource for Lila when she starts dating."

Clint laughs, and he laughs hard, for a good two minutes, some of it natural, some it getting his point across. He finally says, "No, Lila's not going to date."

Kate hears Lila somewhere on the other end call, "I heard that!"

"Thank you," Kate says sincerely.

"Remember," Clint says firmly, "cuteness isn't an indicator of his personality. It's just a bonus. See if he'll go out to lunch with you, and if he's a good person, great, if not, get rid of him." He hangs up, not giving Kate a chance to respond.

Kate finds a nearby library where she can sit inside in the warmth and look up Peter Parker online. She finds a comfy spot by a window and looks up "Peter Parker" on her phone on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and other sites. She finds that there are a lot more people named Peter Parker in the world than she thought, so she looks through several accounts on several websites. After a long, painful twenty minutes of searching and texting MJ to try to find him, Kate finds him on all four of those websites. However, he has combined for zero posts and has zero friends. Instead of wanting him because he's cute, Kate feels bad for Peter as a person. She almost forgets why she was searching him in the first place. Out of the kindness of her heart, on Instagram, she sends him a follow request, hoping that maybe she can be a good friend for him. She hopes that maybe, someday, they can be more than just friends, but there's a lot that has to happen between now and then. Her motives mixed between being a good friend and being into Peter, she almost regrets requesting to follow him online, and realizes that she might come across as a creep for finding his account with him having no followers. Quickly, she rescinds the request.

Peter is taking a break from studying. He is walking around the streets of New York to nowhere, just to be out in the fresh air, listening to music on his Airpods. He gets a notification on his phone that a Kate Bishop has requested to follow him on Instagram. He panics, thinking that she might know that he's Spider-Man. But he wants a friend, and a cute girl who seems to be a good person is a good friend to have. As he opens Instagram to accept the request, nothing is there. Confused and thinking it was a mistake, Peter sighs, shakes it off, and continues his walk through New York.
