A/N: The first two parts are set during the weekend Katie brought Toby home for Thanksgiving in MAHF and the third part is later on when Ked is newly engaged. Enjoy lol xx Mariah

The moment he met Toby, Ned was sure another piece of his sanity took off. This guy— a walking red flag —was already changing her and while some change was good, watching the light go out of Katie's eyes every time he shut her down was depressing. But today was looking to be going well, at least for now.

They were all at the local pumpkin patch and Ned had decided to tag along after his mother invited him to come along with The Clancy's to pick out some pumpkins and enjoy the beautiful scenery as fall was starting to come to an end, even if it was way past Halloween.

Toby didn't look too enthusiastic about being there but kept his mouth shut. Likely because of the massive blowout he'd had with Katie two days before at Thanksgiving dinner in front of everyone after she'd hugged him goodbye. That wasn't the best first impression to be making on the closest people in her life, and it made him worried.

Ned knew better than most how easily anger can boil over in relationships and turn into domestic abuse as a police officer and Toby was showing all of the signs. The man was controlling, possessive and quick to anger, and was already confronting her of cheating with him, which despite their tricky past he knew was ridiculous. She would never do that and he would never let her.

At least not right now. Even if he hated Toby.

Somehow this had been the most convenient way he could keep an eye on them than he'd had in a long time on an infrequent day off, but then Mackenzie had tugged on his hand and he turned to look down at the eight-year-old.

"What do you think of this one?" She asked, holding up a decently sized pumpkin with hardly any marks.

"It's perfect, Mack," he said as he kneeled to get a better look at it. It was the perfect pumpkin for the time of year. "What's your plan for it?"

"I know! I'm so happy I found it because someone smashed the pumpkin I carved with mom on Halloween," she sighed. "I just hadn't found the right pumpkin to want to redo it one."

That was the worst part about Halloween. That stupid vandalism. "That sucks, but this time I bet it'll be even better." He said with a wink.

Mackenzie smiled. "Thanks, Ned!" She said as she turned to run back to Jim and Melinda.

He made his way back over to the mini pumpkins section, picking up two. He didn't have a lot of decorating space because he still lived with his mom, but they would spruce up his desk at least. Plus Katie and Toby weren't too far away and he could hear her trying to coax him into getting a few.

"I don't even want to be here. It's almost fucking December," Toby muttered, crossing his arms. "Why can't we leave again?"

Katie rolled her eyes and set down the pumpkins she was holding. "Because I came home to spend time with my family Toby and I'm sorry for thinking you would've wanted to do that too," she said flatly, walking away from him. "Don't follow me."

"The dramatics... again?" Toby chuckled, groaning, and following her into the parking lot as she walked toward her car. He grabbed her arm and yanked her back around. "Jesus Christ. Listen to me."

Ned took a step closer as he watched this unfold. No one else was paying attention. Jim and Melinda were occupied with Aaron and Mackenzie in the rows of pumpkins, and his mother was already purchasing hers down at the end of the field, but Katie and Toby were fighting in the parking lot.

"Let go of me," she sighed and pulled her arm away from her boyfriend. "I just want to be alone for a second. You've been nothing but a complete ass the entire time we've been in Grandview. Or actually no, you were fine until you met Ned. So figure that one out yourself."

"Maybe because the guy's in love with you?" Toby argued, but Katie had heard enough and was walking toward her car again. "And I'm pretty sure from the way you're reacting that you still love him too."

She stopped and turned around. "I'm with you. How many times do I have to say that?" She sighed.

Several possible scenarios ran through Ned's head but were all tossed the moment their lips connected.

Oh. Oh. Maybe he shouldn't be watching anymore. But he stood there, frozen in shock as he watched them kiss. Their lips connected messily in a way that neither of them seemed to care about. There was only one way for this to end, and Ned was determined not to be here for it.

He kept telling himself he was going to turn around as he watched Toby lean Katie up against her car and he definitely should've when he noticed Toby's hand between her thighs. He'd fantasized about doing the same thing to her on more than one occasion. Her moans sounded better than what he'd imagined, and he knew immediately it would take weeks to get it out of his head.

Ned turned around then, cursing. He couldn't and refused to be jealous of that man or invade Katie's privacy any further.

They were a jumble of lips and limbs as they crawled into the back of her car and Toby pulled her onto his lap. Katie could feel him under her, swollen, insistent, and big. Good lord. Her mouth went dry when he locked the steel bands of his arms behind her back and ground her down into his crotch. He moved her onto her back over the seat before she knew it and her hands grasped at his biceps, fingertips flirting with the edges of his sleeves.

"Hey, slow down. I want to enjoy this." She grabbed at his hair until she was able to stop his forward momentum.

He laughed at her, his hands pushing apart her legs so he could settle further against her. She let out a deep groan at the contact. The shifting drew the material of her jeans tight against her clit and it was making her brain fuzzy. "I don't need to slow down to know where I'm going." His tone was light and teasing and she sighed in resignation. Fine. Whatever.

He made quick work of her pants and panties and then dove face first into her crotch. Katie let out a squeal, her hands grabbing at his head again as he latched onto her and sucked. Hard. "Hey, not so much. That hurts." He thought she was joking; his chuckle was low and dirty over her. He latched on again and she jerked away. "No, seriously."

He paused for a long moment, pouting, and she wondered what he was waiting for but then let out a low gasp when his mouth descended again. Impossibly soft, his tongue mingled with excited exhales, and it was somewhat better. It lasted for moments, just mere moments because as soon as she relaxed and started to enjoy the experience, he began Hoover-ing. She shot up, both hands pushing the suction from her clit. He looked wicked pleased with himself as though he'd gotten an orgasm out of her that quick.

Katie frowned. "Um. I guess I'm just not feeling oral tonight? Did you bring a condom?" She winced at how terrible the words came out of her mouth.

Thankfully, Toby was receptive. He stripped out of his pants and then flopped down to sit next to her in the backseat, his hand stroking his dick before sliding the condom on. His insistent hands grabbed her waist before she had the chance to move and guided her onto his lap properly. It burned. There was no good way to describe it as anything other than full and burning, even after trying to let him adjust inside her for a moment.

A few experimental dips of her hips had her gasping. It was like standing barefoot on hot cement in the summertime. All sensory cells were focused and heightened where he filled her. She was about to call the whole thing off when he licked two fingers and brought them to her clit.

Okay, yes, she thought. That did not suck. That did not suck at all. He had her writhing in a surprisingly short amount of time and perhaps she hadn't given her boyfriend enough credit. Until Toby started to push up into her at his own pace, and it was all too much again.

Only this time, he didn't stop. His lips met her in a passionate kiss, hands holding her tightly against him, but thankfully it was only for another five short pumps before he had groaned into her neck.

"That was nice," he whispered, kissing her neck. "You came too, right?"

Honesty was the best policy. That was what she'd always been told.

"Not yet," she confessed.

"Well, maybe you just don't know that you did," he replied

Katie pulled away quicker than she should have, and Toby was already telling her to slow down. "Are you kidding me right now?"

"Don't start with me again. I don't want to fucking fight with you." He groaned, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "I'm just saying that maybe you didn't realize that you did. It felt like you did."

She was pulling her pants on by then and had to resist the urge to break up with him right there. "Well, I didn't. It was fucking terrible." She said as she pulled her shoes back on and fixed her hair quickly before getting out of the car. She did know how to pick them.

When she was finally alone, she wanted to scream but remembered that she was at the stupid pumpkin patch with her family. By the time she had gotten back to walking through the rows upon rows of pumpkins, she was crying silently. How could she have let herself come to this? Why didn't she just break up with him?

Ned had snuck up on her like he always did. "Don't do that," she sighed, looking up to face him with tear-stained cheeks. "Don't look so surprised. I saw you watching us earlier."

"I'm just worried about you. He's not a good person, Katie." He warned her.

"I know that," she said suddenly, surprising him. "Don't look so surprised. You think so openly with your face."

Ned tried swallowing the last semblance of anger, but it was no easy task. "Are you okay?"

She shook her head. "You don't have to say anything. I think I just want to forget it now." She sighed, wiping away any lingering tears. "And you should probably go. I don't need another fight with Toby before we got back to the city if he sees me with you."

He didn't say anything at first, just nodded. "I'm always one phone call away if you ever need me." He told her, but she already knew that. No matter what, Ned would be there. Until the end of time, he'd be there.

Katie loved Ned's kisses. His lips were soft and welcoming, his tongue sliding against hers, teasing and tempting. She loved the feel of his lips on her, and the way she could feel his heartbeat when she pressed herself against him, seeking his taste. She loved the way his eyes fluttered closed as their lips met, and the way he held her face between his hands. He kissed her with passion, with love, with lust and affection. He kissed her gently, firmly, ravenously.

Anything she wanted, she could have. Anything she desired, he would give her. It was still strange to think he desired her, but he did and he even wanted to marry her.

Katie moved her lips down his throat, nipping and licking his sensitive skin. She was hungry for him tonight and tore at his clothing to give her better access. He rested his hand on her head as she moved down his body, his fingers clenching in her hair as she took his dick in her mouth. This was always so good, almost as good as when he would bury himself inside of her and make her cry out her pleasure.

Her head moved up and down on him, her tongue and lips driving him mad. It was all he could do not to thrust his hips up into her face, but he refused to do that. This was for her as much as for him. She was the one in control now and he liked to let her control his pleasure.

Ned tipped his head back, resting it on the cushions of the couch behind him, and closed his eyes. He let the feeling of her mouth consume him, his entire being focused on her movements. She was good, so absolutely, mind-numbingly good. She knew exactly what he wanted from her and gave it to him, and it wasn't long before his fingers tightened in her hair even further, drawing out a low moan from him that she felt to her toes, and he exploded, stars in his eyes.

She sat up and licked her lips, looking extremely satisfied with herself. "You were louder than usual," she said, giggling.

"Was I?" He didn't look that surprised. She had that effect on him. "I guess you're just that good."

"Don't feed into my ego, Ned," she chuckled.

He ran his fingers over her breast, caressing her hardened nipple with his thumb. "You're the best sex I've ever had. The connection, the feel, everything." He confessed. "And the worst was one of the nameless hookups I had that I barely remember. What's the worst sex you've ever had?"

She started laughing. "Do you want that story? I've only had sex with three people and you're one of them," she said.

I have enough confidence in myself to hope I'm not the worst sex you've ever had," he said.

"No. You weren't," she answered, shaking her head. "It was Toby. He even tried to convince me that somehow I'd finished because he thought I did. It was just painful."

He burst out laughing. "So I was your first good orgasm?"

"Baby, I love you, but that was solo. I was sixteen or so." She said, shaking her head. "Nice try though."

"You were probably thinking of me," he reasoned, and thinking back maybe, but she wasn't going to let his ego get that far right now. Even if she loved him.

"Was I? I thought it was Tom Holland," she said, glancing over at him smugly. "Oh, and a little bit of Zendaya too, but yes, you are the best sex partner I've ever had."
