A/N: I cut off Katie and Ned's wedding night in Looking in a Mirror. Here is a little peek into their honeymoon weekend ;) Enjoy! xx Mariah

Katie was wiped. Her feet were sore after so much dancing, her chest heaved, trying to catch her breath as she had thanked, talked to, and danced happily with so many family and friends. She was parched on top of it, her mouth dry enough that she almost wanted to smack her tongue against the inside of her mouth. Her cheeks were even sore from laughter, but it had been the best day of her life.

She looked at the man sitting in the backseat of the town car and smiled. A thrill of novelty shot through her stomach. She was a wife. Not only that but Ned Banks' wife. Her smile brightened even as her cheeks pained slightly at overuse.

"You seem happy," he said, glancing up from his phone. His arm wrapped around her and she slid closer to him. "Did you have a good time tonight?"

"And why wouldn't I be?" She laughed and leaned up to press a light peck to his lips. "I am a newly married woman, aren't I?"

He chuckled, his head rolling over to lean against hers. "You are, and I am a newly married man." His grin spread across his face as one hand tilted her chin up and allowed him to capture her lips in a sudden, but not unwanted kiss.

The second Katie registered the kiss she all but melted, her moan of delight muffled by their locked lips when she felt his hands trail down to her waist as he pulled her nearly onto his lap before they trailed to her ass, giving her rear a squeeze through her dress. They broke off the kiss a few seconds later as they caught their breath. She flushed under his gaze and puffed her lips in what she hoped was a cute pout, her lips an alluring cherry color from her lipstick.

She was rewarded a second later as Ned kissed her again, only briefly this time before he pulled back and leaned down a bit to kiss her neck. "Today was the best day of my life," he hummed happily against her warm skin, a drunken chuckle following as his lips skimmed over the top of her dress and breasts. "I love you so much."

"It was a lot of fun, wasn't it?" she replied, smiling at the feeling of his lips on her. "We should probably go inside before anything too heavy starts… we are home now."

He slowly pulled back, a drunken lust-filled gaze evident on his face as he moved out of the car first, but before she could open her door he had and was offering her his hand. She stepped out of the car, aided by his hand, and there was a moment where he bent down and spoke to the driver before closing the door as it began to pull away.

Ned sighed and turned back toward her. "I know you're probably still upset about the whole no honeymoon thing, but one day I will make it up to you." He said, closing the car door as it began to pull away.

Katie shook her head immediately. She had never needed a honeymoon to be happy. All she wanted was to be married to him. "Ned, no." She whispered, stepping close to him and picking up the skirt of her wedding dress so it wouldn't be ruined by the dirt on the road. "You could never make me mad, especially not about this. You may annoy me sometimes, but let's not get started on that." Her light and teasing tone set him into a fit of laughter as he glanced over at her.

His gaze was hot and passionate, and though still sore and thirsty, she felt some of the fatigue of the night fade away. The promise in his eyes for their night to come made her shift on the balls of her feet, and his eyes darkened at the movement.

"Are you alright, Mrs. Banks?" He asked coyly, and she shot him a glare as he continued to trace his loaded gaze across her eyes, the slope of her nose, and her lips, which he looked at a beat longer than any other part of her.

"Yes," she replied, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly. "You could stop looking at me like you are about to eat me, though, Mr. Banks."

His shoulders tightened in response, and she felt immense pleasure that she was capable of winding him up as surely as he could wind her. "That may be the plan." He whispered, nodding over toward their new home and taking the first step. "We should go inside, hmm?"

A fire in his eyes made her squirm at whatever he was thinking about doing to her when they got inside and Katie felt like giving him a taste of his own wicked game. In return, she decided to lean in to kiss his jaw and grabbed the lobe of his ear between her teeth before pulling down slightly. He let out a soft groan as she let go, but didn't move away from him; instead, she whispered, "I'm looking forward to it. Let's go inside."

Ned seemed as if he was ready to explode. The tightness in his face, shoulders, and hands was noticeable. He looked as though people were physically restraining him from touching her, and she was immensely delighted that she could tease him in several ways. He nodded and then swung her up into his arms, stumbling a little in his drunkenness.

"You sure this is smart after everything you've drank?" She asked as he began to walk toward their house.

"I'm fine. I've drank more and still carried you up the stairs," he chuckled. "I am only glad that we have the whole weekend to spend together."

"If you say so, Mr. Banks." She teased him as she ran her hand through his hair. "A whole weekend with you is all I need after a week of hardly seeing you/"

"I know," he sighed, walking up the sidewalk and porch. "This new case is killing everyone at the station, believe me," he said, stopping at the front door and setting her down. "I just couldn't get the key." He quickly opened the door and pushed it open before picking her back up. "There, you ready?"

"Yes. Here's to us starting a new life together," she whispered in his ear before kissing him.

He walked across the threshold and kicked the door shut behind them. "Home sweet home," he slowly eased her back onto her feet as he went to lock the door behind him, stumbling as he yanked his dress shoes off and tossed them by the door. "Should we get straight to it then?"

"To what?" Katie asked, already walking towards the kitchen to get a glass of water.

She drowned it in a second. She knew, from the weight of his gaze, that Ned was close behind her, but for the moment, she was more than content to ignore him in favor of cool water to quench her dry mouth and throat.

"You know what I am talkin' 'bout," he said and slurred the last two words together.

She slipped out of her shoes and flexed her toes, moaning at the ability to stand on her own feet without heels. Pouring another glass of water, which she also drank greedily, she turned to face Ned. He was leaning casually against the doorway to the kitchen, his suit jacket hanging on his arm, and his face looked more heated than he had a moment ago.

Still, his focus on her and the longing in his eyes took her breath away. He loved her. It was all over his face, and he was her husband now. She felt powerful, and she set her glass down lightly before slowly coming to stand in front of him. Her hands were on her hips in a playful gesture. She looked at him for a beat, neither of them saying anything, just taking each other in before Katie stuck her tongue out.

It was nothing but a flash, but it lightened the moment, and Ned began laughing at her, with her. He moved his arms to wrap around her waist, and she folded herself into his body. Without her heels on, she was at level with his nose and tilted her head up to press a featherlight kiss on his jaw.

"Let's go to bed," she said, and she felt the vibration from the tenor of his voice against her body.

She sighed, "We can go to our room, but I'm not quite ready yet. I have to get cleaned up… you don't just get to tear dress off me because you want to."

"But I need to," he sighed, pouting at her. "You should only be undressing… not redressing."

"It will be worth the wait," she whispered as she wrapped her arms firmly around his waist and propped her chin on his chest so she could look at him. "I promise." He kissed the top of her forehead, and she relished in this quiet moment in their new home. She was going to have a lifetime of these moments. She was ecstatic. "You make me very happy, Ned Banks."

"Good. You make me happy too," he stated, grasping her waist with his hands and immediately picking her up as he had outside.

She squealed before putting her arms around his neck and awkwardly letting her feet dangle, the skirt of her wedding dress too impressive to allow her much movement of her legs. "Is this necessary?" She asked incredulously, still firmly in his arms.

"Absolutely," he answered. "It's tradition."

As soon as they entered their bedroom, he finally set her down, and she took a step back, narrowing her eyes at her husband.

"I am very capable of walking," she informed him, but both of them could sense the teasing nature of her perfectly articulated words.

"I was simply giving your feet the rest they deserve," he said cunningly as he sat on the bed.

Ned was always too persuasive when he wanted to be, but she rolled her eyes and leaned down to kiss his cheek. "I won't be too long."

"I will be waiting." He said through a yawn as he moved to lay back on the bed.

Katie quickly went into the bathroom and removed her dress. She turned on the shower and as the water ran, she removed her undergarments, washed her face of any makeup, and then brushed her teeth. The water was steaming when she began to take the pins out of her hair and let her hair finally fall for the first time all day. Her hair gave her pain as she ran her hands through it for the first time since it had been done up that morning.

Once she was ready to step in the shower, she noticed a white box with a pretty blue ribbon sitting on top of the counter. She recognized the handwriting of her mother right away and knew she must have brought this by. She took the card from where it was tucked under the ribbon and smiled.

For your wedding night. Let yourself have some fun, Bug.

She opened the box and pulled out a blue and white lingerie set. It was silk and consisted of a dark blue robe, a pair of white silk panties, and a sheer white floor-length gown that secured under the bust with a dark blue bow. She left the box on the counter and quickly washed herself of the sweat and grime of the day under the hot spray of water.

Katie dried off and wrapped a towel around herself. She combed out her long hair and dried it the best she could before she put on the sheer nightgown and panties, leaving the robe on the back of the door for another time only to go back into their bedroom and find Ned sound asleep and snoring on their bed. She walked to the other side of the room and blew out the candles next to him. She looked down on his sleeping form and her heart skipped a beat.

Even if she was slightly upset he had fallen asleep on her, she knew it was only because of how good the day had been mixed with all the alcohol he had consumed. He'd likely make it up to her in the morning, and she was grateful for that. "Good night, Ned… I love you." She bent down and kissed his forehead.

She walked over to her side of the bed and climbed in. She reached for the covers and realized he had completely wrapped himself up in them. Katie cursed under her breath, got out of bed, and pulled out a spare blanket from the hall closet before quickly going back to her spot.

Ned opened his eyes slowly and was blinded by the sun coming in from the window. He quickly grabbed a pillow and shielded his eyes from the onslaught of light. That was when he heard snoring coming from beside him. He twisted away from the window and felt pain shoot through his side.

What the hell happened the night before? He removed the pillow and let his eyes adjust to the light. He looked over and saw the top of his wedding suit neatly draped over a chair.

Fuck, tell me I didn't forget my wedding night?

He moved his legs experimentally and he still had his trousers on. He let out a relieved yet disappointed sigh when he realized nothing must've had happened. He must've fallen asleep when Katie had gone into the bathroom. He slowly moved to a sitting position and swung his legs over the side of the bed. His head felt like it had been trampled by a herd of elephants. It all came rushing back to him. All of the drinks and dancing of the night before at the reception after the wedding.

Ned slapped himself on the forehead and winced. He moved to look behind him and his head throbbed harder with the motion. He finally saw Katie on the far side of the bed wrapped in a separate blanket and fast asleep. Once he pulled himself out of the bed, it took him a moment to get his bearings. He remembered up to the toasts pretty clearly, not that he particularly wanted to remember most of them. Damn it! How many glasses had he had? And of what?

The toasts were long and awkward, but Hannah had started, followed by his mother and lastly Katie's father, Jim. The champagne wasn't half-bad, but it had made him want to drink whiskey. So he decided to escort Devon to the bar to congratulate him on a job well done as Best Man. One drink turned into two and then three. He remembered dancing with too many different people and more whiskey. He even remembered coming home with Katie but it was all a blur after that. He put his head in his hands and groaned to himself.

How could he have fallen asleep on their wedding night? How would she ever forgive him?

He went back to the bathroom stripped off the rest of his clothes and washed up. He then ventured back into the room and toward his closet to find something to wear. He managed to find a pair of clean boxers and quickly put them on and crawled back into bed, doing his best not to wake Katie up. He moved to her side of the bed and propped himself up against the pillows, looking down at her and silently studying her. Something was different he thought, he stared at her trying to place it. She was wrapped up to her shoulders with the quilt.

She wasn't wearing any of the make-up she had on their wedding day, but he had seen her without make-up numerous times. Then it dawned on him, she wasn't just his girlfriend or even his fiancee anymore. She was his wife. She had his last name and wore two rings on her left hand. She was his wife now.

Her hair was a tangle of long brown curls with a reddish-hue. He reached down and gingerly caressed it. It was soft and smelled of her apple shampoo. He smiled to himself. He felt a small stirring of pride that he was one of the only men to have seen her this unguarded. He had intimately thrown himself around too many women throughout college after a harsh breakup, but he had never really been close to any of them. Although entertaining and educational, after Rachel broke his heart the minute he would start feeling anything, Ned had been quick to show any girl the door.

His last one-night stand had ended with him climbing out a window to avoid the woman's husband. She had failed to mention the fact she was married until the man was pounding on the bedroom door. Needless to say, that had been his last experience of that.

Katie moved her head in her sleep and caught his attention. It had all been so different with her. She had always been there, as a little sister or a friend, but not quite. She had been this little pest to him for so long that he didn't realize how much she cared about him. He had hurt her far too many times to count before he had even thought about her in that way.

He looked down at her and focused on her lips. He wanted to kiss her now but didn't want to wake her just yet. He sighed and settled for placing a light kiss on her forehead instead. She would wake soon and they would have their fun then. He draped his arm around her and settled in under the comforter next to her, soon finding himself drifting back to sleep.

Katie awoke on the edge of the king-sized bed, where she was greeted by the sound of Ned snoring like a bear. Blearily opening her eyes, she involuntarily smiled at her husband, who was curled up next to her with his arm slung across her. She sighed and moved to stretch, but his hand firmly kept her in place.

After tugging on his arm, he slowly rose it and laid flat on his back. "Good morning to you too," he said, startling her and causing him to chuckle. "You okay?"

"Oh, Ned. I didn't want to wake you." She said as she rolled over. "Though it is a good morning. We do have the whole day together."

"We have tomorrow as well," he said and the closure at the bust of her nightgown gaped exposing her legs and panties to him, catching his attention. "You look... God, I am an idiot for falling asleep."

Ned stared at her dumbfoundedly. This wasn't what he had been expecting her to wear. She usually wore more simple lingerie. Her legs were long and curvy like they'd always been. Her thighs were thick and strong from years of running, and his mouth fell open. They had tried their best to stay celibate before their wedding, at least for a few weeks.

There were many hot and heavy make-outs and close calls, but they had been able to keep sex off the table to make their first time as husband and wife more enjoyable. He sat up so he could look at her better. The nightgown, while sheer, covered her but it also hugged everything in place. His face broke into a goofy grin as though he had never seen her half-naked before.

"Cat got your tongue?" She giggled as she slowly moved on top of him.

"I-I like it," he finally stuttered out, blushing like a schoolboy, attentive eyes glued to her.

It was her turn to blush. "Oh, this." She indicated what she was wearing. "It was a wedding present from my mother."

"Of course, it was," he shook his head and broke the tension with another burst of laughter. "I should have known. Melinda is too cheeky not to give such a thing to you." He sighed and laid his hand on her shoulder, tracing up and down with the tip of his finger. "I am sorry about last night."

She waved her hand as if it was nothing. "It's alright, Ned. There was quite a lot of excitement and fun yesterday," she told him. "Most people fall asleep on their wedding night."

"That is an understatement." He looked at her and smiled. How had she gotten so lucky? "But that isn't exactly what I meant, I am sorry about falling asleep once we got home. That was our time together… our first night as a married couple and I ruined it."

"You don't have to…" She started before Ned cut her off.

"I want to make it up to you, but it won't take away the fact that I was too drunk last night." He leaned up and kissed her, his hands cradling her face as he pulled her down to his level. "I'm a terrible husband already, Katie, and I wish I could take it back."

"Ned, that was just one night. The first one of many… and yes, I was disappointed that you were dead asleep when I came out of the bathroom, but I was just as tired as you were." She replied, closing her eyes as she leaned her face against his. "It's not the end of the world. As you said, we have today and tomorrow together."

"Yes, we do." He whispered and kissed her again. "We have all the time in the world… which means I can fully appreciate what you are wearing." His hands ran up and down her body pausing on her ass, it was soft and round with a firm layer of muscle underneath. He gave it a tentative squeeze and she kissed him again, causing him to be bolder. "God, Katie. You have no idea what you do to me."

She took the opportunity to kiss up down his neck and behind his ear. "I know exactly what I do to you," she whispered against his earlobe.

Ned took in a sharp intake of breath and she tentatively nipped at the back of his neck. She reached between them and unfastened the bow on her nightgown, letting it fall open and allowing his hands to move in on her waist and up her sides, and eventually, he was on top of her. He slid his hands over her bare arms and she let out a happy sigh, arching off the bed. Every kiss, every touch sent sparks down her spine. She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him closer, arching her body up to press herself against him.

He reveled in the feeling the warmth of her soft skin against him and moved his legs around to straddle her. "Do you want to keep going?" He asked, partially to make sure she was still agreeable and partially for his ego.

"Yes, please." She said breathlessly.

His cock twitched as he realized how excited she was. Her eyes were dark. She was biting her lips, which were bruised from the kissing. Her cheeks were flushed and her chest was heaving. He traced her face with his hand and followed the path of his fingers with kisses. He kissed down her face and back up her jawline. When he reached her ear, he grazed it with his teeth.

"Ned," she gasped and closed her eyes letting her head fall back.

He smirked as he began kissing and nibbling down her neck and across her collarbone. His hand dropped down to where her nightgown was open. "May I?" He asked and she nodded enthusiastically. "Hmmm?"

"Yes," she answered as he ghosted his hands over her breasts, causing her to make a sharp intake of breath. "Touch me... please."

He smiled at her reaction and began appreciating them as equally as he could. She made these little mewling sounds as he kissed everywhere but the points that wanted the most attention. She threaded her fingers through his hair and whimpered. When he finally gave in and licked one nipple and then the other, she arched off the bed and moaned. He divided his attention, licking and sucking each in turn. Unconsciously squeezing her thighs together and rocking her hips, she was lost to a world of feeling as his hand dropped down between her thighs.

Katie moaned and pulled at his hair, her head falling back against the pillows as she twisted and writhed beneath him. "Ned, please... oh, God!" She moaned his name over and over again as she climaxed under his ministrations.

He propped himself up and gently ran his hands over her as she recovered. "How are you feeling?" He asked with a smirk.

She was still woozy. "Good," was all she could manage to say.

"Are you up for more?" He asked.

She hadn't fully recovered but managed a breathy reply, "Yes. That answer is always yes."

Ned hooked his thumbs into the top of her panties and slid them down her legs. He tossed them over the side of the bed and ran his hands up her legs. Katie spread her legs in response and whimpered slightly. Starting at the inside of her ankle he kissed his way up to her thighs. He paused at the inside of her thigh where he nibbled gently causing her to squirm. She was torn. She wanted her husband to bury himself in her but every touch and kiss felt better than anything she'd drank the night before.

He slowly traced against her with his fingers and then his tongue in the way she liked. She gasped and started rocking her hips against him as he moved his attention back to kissing the inside of her thigh for a moment before returning to lap her needy little center gently. Her legs began to shake and one wrapped around him and rested on the top of his shoulder. She cried and grasped at the bedding on either side of her, whining his name over and over again.

Still keeping pace with his fingers, he lifted his head and watched her as she climaxed. She was smiling, radiant, and wild. The most beautiful woman in the whole world to him. As she quieted, he rested his head on her belly for a moment. He felt drunk again and he was so hard it hurt to move, but neither of them could wait any longer.

Reaching down, she pulled his face up to her and kissed him. When she broke the kiss, she begged, "Please, Ned."

He nodded dumbly as she spread her legs further apart and helped guide him to her. As he established his rhythm, she slowly started to move with him. She opened her mouth and he covered it with a kiss, muffling her cries. Her lips and tongue felt like ice and he felt like fire.

Katie felt electrified, every nerve ending was vibrating and tingling. She felt the coiling sensation at her core building again, she broke her kiss with him and cried out his name as she shattered beneath him. His tenuous control was broken and his pace quickened as he pushed deeper, but it didn't take much for him to be completely undone.

He collapsed on top of her, blissfully exhausted, and rested for a few moments before rolling off onto his back. Her eyes fluttered open to see Ned smiling down at her. He was grinning like a schoolboy, a very naughty and proud one. He grasped her hand and kissed it, letting his lips linger against the cool feel of her wedding ring.

She giggled and smiled back at him, all bright eyes and rosy cheeks. "I love you."

He grinned wider. "I love you." He kissed her lips and snuggled next to her. Soon they both drifted off to sleep.
