The reactions to the now named Aaron's statement were instant.
Rias rushed towards him and tackled him in a tearful hug.
"Sis!" Issei, Ddraig and Caribou yelled.
Well Caribou squeaked.
"How is she your sister?!" Issei continued. "She's one of the two Onee-sans* of the school and you, well you!"
This caused Aaron to glare at him.
"And what exactly am I?" He asked, visibly annoyed.
"An ass." Ddraig put in his two cents.
"Shut it lizard." Aaron said.
"Make me hellspawn." Ddraig replied.
This back and forth would have continued but then something no one expected happened.
"You idiot!" Yelled Rias as she kicked Aaron in the crotch.
"Hugh." Grunted Aaron before dropping like a rock in agony. "Why there?!" He asked.
"Because it's the only way to get through to your thick skull!" She yelled, still crying.
Issei was simply staring at Rias in disbelief.
Caribou thought this may be his chance to escape. A quick flair of Aaron's presence fixed that
"I like her!" Ddraig voiced his approval of her actions.
"Where have you been?!" Rias yelled at her brother, still too furious to care about her image. "You just disappeared! No note, no goodbye, no warning!"
"Would it help if I said it wasn't exactly planned?" Aaron asked.
"What do you think?!" Rias replied.
"I think this isn't the time or place for this." Aaron shot back as he slowly started to stand.
Upon remembering that she had an audience, Rias froze.
"I suppose you're right." Said Rias trying to fix herself up without being noticed, and failing miserably as she was the center of attention.
Not wanting to get another crotch shot, Aaron didn't press her. Instead he turned to. Issei as he stood up.
"How the hell did you get wrapped up in this?" He asked.
"He punched the slime ball's face in before he could rape your sister." Ddraig explained Before Issei could reply.
Aarons expression changed at the news. Not into one of rage, but into a polite smile, with that smile you could see that he was Rias's brother. Except for his eyes turning red, that and the aura of pure murder surrounding him.
"Oh did he?" Aaron asked in a polite voice.
At that point Caribou passed out from fear, temporarily saving him from his unspeakable fate.
"Tch wimp." Aaron grumbled, having returned to normal.
He looked towards Issei "We'd better head to your place, your parents are probably getting worried." He said as if he hadn't been seconds away from making hell look like a vacation destination.
Issei and Rias were understandably terrified and offered no resistance.
The unlikely trio made their way to Issei's house without incident Caribou had been teleported away by Aaron. No one asked where he was sent, no one wanted to know.
When they got there Aaron knocked on the door when a tile slipped off the roof falling on a collision course with Aaron's head.
Without looking up Aaron caught it with his hand covered in an unidentifiable black substance. Said black substance moved from his hand and onto the back of the tile. With a casual flick of his wrist Aaron threw the tile back on to the roof where it fell perfectly in place and stayed there.
Rias blinked at her brother's impressive display of reflex and skill as Aaron turned to Issei.
"I thought the roof was fixed." He said
"It was," Issei said, looking at the roof in confusion.
Then Issei's mother answered the door. First her eyes went to Issei and sighed in relief. Then she looked at Aaron.
"Aaron?"she asked..
Aaron simply smiled. "Hey Mrs. Hyoudou. Can we come in?"
The mother looked at Rias warily. "And who is this?"
"My sister Rias." Aaron said, surprising the woman.
"Oh! So she's…" She began to ask.
"A devil yes." Aaron stated..
Rias stared at her brother dumbstruck by the blatant admission.
"I-i see." Issei's mother said nervously.
"Honey! Is it Issei?" Issei's father called worriedly.
"And more!" Aaron answered.
Issei's father walked into the room and as he said. "Oh Aaron! Issei was with you?" He then looked at Rias." Who is this?" He asked.
"This is Rias." Aaron replied "My sister."
The man blinked in surprise. "Oh." He replied dumbstruck.
"Would you like to come in? Issei's mother asked.
"We'd love to." Aaron answered.
And like that the teens were welcomed into the living room. Mystifying Rias all the more. Not them knowing about the supernatural, while rare it was understandable. It was how they just let her in after Aaron said she was her sister. The Devil's had a reputation. Both in the supernatural and the "normal" world. But these people trusted Aaron knowing what he was. That was rare even for their clients.
"Here you go dear." Issei's mother said, handing her a cup of tea. Dragging Rias out of her thoughts.
"Oh! Thank you." Rias said politely.
"Are you sure she's your sister?" Asked Issei.
"Issei!" Yelled his mother.
"Now that the Perv's broken the ice, let's get to business." Aaron stated.
"Can you please not call me that in front of people?" Issei begged.
"No, can, do I have to give my sister a good idea of your personality. Speaking of, if you keep staring at her chest I will hurt you." Aaron stated casually.
Issei blushed at this statement, turning away from his mothers glare.
"But like I said, business!" Aaron said.
"How did that mud man get through your barriers? Ddraig asked. Surprising Rias who had forgotten about him.
"Someone got through the barriers!?" Issei's parents said worriedly.
"Barriers?" Rias asked curiously.
Aaron sighed. "A while back I set up barriers around the town to stop new supernaturals from moving here. But with Rias and Sona moving in we modified them so they only repelled people who were intentionally trying to go after the Hyodos or hunting for sacred gears. The mud guy was just here for some magically assisted robbery.
She hadn't noticed any barriers in the city, and Sona hadn't either.
"They're made so that they're practically unnoticeable unless they're active." Aaron answered her unasked question.
Rias wondered for a moment how he knew what she was thinking. Then she remembered who she was talking to and realized what a stupid question that was.
"It's been years, don't beat yourself up." Aaron said smiling., Surprising the residents of the house.
"As interesting as it is to know that you have a soft spot,we're avoiding the issue." Ddraig began. " What are we going to do about the barriers?"
Aaron raised an eyebrow. "I don't see why anything would need to be done. Caribou was no threat to you, and the barrier will automatically tell me if anyone attacks you guys."
"He was about to escape." Ddraig hated that he could see Aaron's logic.
"And I would have found him." Aaron stated with a smirk.
"Tch" said Ddraig conceded the argument.
Aaron smirked at his victory for a moment, but just for a moment.
"Rias I'm sure you have questions." He said, turning to his sister.
Rias looked up at him with a complex expression of worry, anticipation, and anxiousness.
"But everyone here has had a long, and tiring day, myself included," He said. "Do you mind if we wait for tomorrow to talk?"
"W-what?" Rias asked, confused.
Aaron sighed "Also your peerage is probably panicking with you gone. It's only a matter of time before they tell Sona, Sona will tell Serafall, and She'll tell Zechs."
He sighed. "And I'm not ready for that."
Rias wanted to argue that their brother should know about this. But her experience with her peerage told her not to press the matter. But….
"I'll give you answers tomorrow." Aaron assured his sister."
Rias gave her brother a sceptical glance.
Aaron flinched as if she had slapped him.
"I'm not a liar, Rias." He said hurt in his voice.
Alarms started going off in Rias's head. She had just struck a nerve.
" It's been years Aaron." She replied with his own words..
His expression softened with a sigh. "I guess that's fair."
He looked at Issei. "You should come, we need to get your situation straight."
It sounded like a casual request, but those who knew him well could tell it was more than that."I don't want to be alone for this, please come with me." Aaron asked without asking.
Issei gulped. "Sure, I'll come."
A ghost of a smile formed on Aaron's lips
"Good." He said.
He stood up and said to Rias. "I guess we should be leaving."
"I suppose." She said standing up. Her displeasure slipping throughout her composer.
Aaron gave her a sad smile. "I'll see you tomorrow at your club house after school ok?."
She looked at him and slowly returned the smile. "I'll hold you to that."
After they walked out the door. Aaron took a step forward and disappeared as he did. Like he was walking into an invisible portal.
Rias stared at the spot where her brother stood for a moment. Before signing.
"Just another day Hugh." She asked herself.
Meanwhile in a secure location…..
Caribou woke up to Aaron standing above him, the murder aura returned with a vengeance.
"You didn't think I forgot about you. Did you?" He asked politely.
Caribou was found beaten to a pulp with several broken bones by police in New York the next morning with a note that said.
"He now has a deeply set fear of the color red. May want to get him colored glasses or contacts."!
Hello again internet! I am posting at midnight this time! I really need to schedule better!
I edited the first chapter a bit after being told about some mistakes. Another I noticed was that I labeled this a DXD and blazblue crossover, and while it is its really a DXD fic with a bunch of other characters and concepts thrown in. I could only mention two of them in the description so I put blaze blue as the second. Should I have done something else?
* For those who don't know onee-san is a way of respectfully addressing an older sister, in this case it means that Rias has a respected big sister feel as school.
Also I believe I am supposed to have a beta reader so if you're interested PM me.
Edit: I broke my phone recently and I didn't back up my story, because I'm an idiot. I took a break and am now re-writing the next chapter, but I find it hard to write something I already wrote.
