The orc clubhouse
"So let me get this straight," said Akeno, digesting her master and best friend's story.
"You noticed someone trespassing on our territory so you went alone to check it out, and when you found said intruder you fought him alone almost lost. But then you were saved by Issei Hyoudou and your twin brother, who apparently know each other.
"And they're coming over tomorrow!" Said Rias in a too cheery voice that said she knew exactly how absurd the situation was and didn't like it either.
Her peerage (minus Gasper) looked at her with mixed emotion. Even Koneko, which showed the seriousness of the situation.
Akeno took a deep breath. "Rias I know you don't like talking about Aaron. But some context would be appreciated."
Koneko and Kiba shot Akeno with a concerned look.
Rias sighed. "You're right, if it's not fair to get involved if you don't know the whole story."
"Aaron was always… different." Rias began." "A lot of it stemmed from his talent in empathy."
Empathy was the Gremory family's inherent magic. As the name implies it allowed one to feel what others were feeling. The ability was responsible not only for their reputation as kind masters, but also their survival as noble devils with said reputation. In fact Sirzech's possession of this ability is half the reason the new Maou government has lasted for centuries.
"Arron wa- is the most talented empath in the history of the Gremory family." Rias corrected herself. "To him reading someone's emotions is as easy as looking at them. Because of this he was always very… blunt. He always knew what everyone was feeling and didn't see the point in manners. Becausehe always knew what everyone really felt."
"His talent also made him very good at manipulating people and lying. I've lost count of the times he had us running through the mansions on some wild goose chase while he did something he shouldn't have." (No typo they grew up, I'm multiple mansions) Rias let out a fond sigh. "His luck only made things worse."
"His luck?" Koneko asked.
"Aaron always had terrible luck." Rias elaborated. "It got to the point where the brother called lord beelzebub to check for some kind of curse but he never did find anything. Much to his frustration. Combined with his pranks it made It very difficult to sort out what was actually his fault. When I complained about it he promised he would lie any more, and he didn't."
Rias chuckled. "Though he still managed to cause just as much intentional trouble as before. "His talents with manipulating people led him to be chosen as the next head of the family"
The reincarnated devil's eyes shot up at the news.
Rias's smile grew "Then he turned it down."
Her audience gaked at her statement. "He turned down becoming the next duke Gremory?" Akeno asked in disbelief.
While the new maou have been making leaps and bounds in improving the quality of life for low class devils during their reign noble titles still carried incredible weight in devil society, this went double for those with noble blood.
"Can you even say no to that?' Kiba asked.
"No but Aaron swore that he would strive to be the worst head in history if they gave him the position." Rias replied.
The reincarnated devils were speechless.
Rias chuckled. "That was our reaction. As I said earlier Aaron promised he wouldn't lie, if he said he'd do something he'd do it."
Rias's smile fell. "At least that's how he was."
"Was?" Koneko asked.
"A few days after he made his ultimatum… he just changed his mind. It was sudden, I never saw anything prompting the change. One day he was stirring up trouble as usual, the next he was apologizing and promising to be the best heir possible." Rias took a deep breath then continued. "And he did. It was gradual, but as time went on he was acting less and less like himself and more like the perfect noble son."
"No one tried to find out why?" Kiba asked.
"We all tried, but every time we asked him about it he just said he had realized the importance of his position in the family." Rias replied. "That satisfied the adults."
"But not you." Akeno observed.
"Not me." Rias confirmed. "But No matter what I tried he just would tell me what was happening, he just kept repeating the same story over and over again with no change."
Rias sighed. "Until the engagement was announced."
She didn't need to elaborate on that. Her peerage was well aware of the arrangement between the Phoenix and Gremory houses.
"It wasn't too Riser of course." Rias elaborated. "The Arron was engaged to Riser's sister Ravel. We had met her several times before, and they got along well enough before he changed. I'm not sure what she thought of him after. But the day after the engagement was announced I went to see how he was taking the news… but Arron was nowhere to be found."
Rias took a deep breath before continuing.
"The window was open and there was blood on the floor. The maids hadn't heard anything. We looked everywhere, we're still looking but we found nothing until today."
"And now he just shows up out of nowhere? Rias, are you sure it's him?" Akeno asked.
Rias paused, considering her queen's question. Arron's disappearance wasn't a secret, in fact there was a large reward place for anyone who could find him. (Unknown to Rias, several con artists had attempted to claim the reward. None had gotten fooled Sirzech, none were heard from again.) Aaron's habits before he became heir were fairly well known via gossip. Rias thought back to the man who claimed to be her brother, the way he knew exactly how to calm her down by mentioning an audience, the way he knew what she was thinking when she was at the Hyoudou's, the way the tile fell directly onto his head from the roof. And most of all that hurt look he gave her when she implied he might be lying. That promise was for her so she could trust him.
"It's him." Rias stated firmly.
Akeno looked skeptical but nodded.
"So what now?" Kiba asked. "Tell Sona?"
"No Aarons right Sona will tell our siblings we don't want to scare him away." Rias answered. "Besides, she and Arron never got along.
"A bit of an understatement." Rias thought. Remembering all the times she had to get between her brother and childhood friend to stop spells from flying… or get adults after they Started.
"So we just wait till tomorrow?" Kiba asked.
"I think that's for the best. But be prepared, Aaron's always been… awkward around new people.
Elsewhere
"This has to have been the most emotionally tiring day of the year." Aaron thought as he walked towards his room.
First of all it was the anniversary so of course it would be terrible, and a Monday to boot.
Then he spent most of the day on a lead to his missing familier' s whereabouts. Which turned out to be just another wild goose chase.
Then he found out that Natsu and Gray had trashed some billionaires stupidly overpriced house. While he was all for big explosions and making stupid rich people suffer, that was when he wasn't paying for the damages. So when the billionaire pressed charges he did what he'd been threatening to do since he started paying for their damages, and left them to the wolves. Cruel? Maybe but he had been making that threat for years, besides it wasn't like he was going to make them serve the full sentence. Just leave them there for a couple of months so they learn their lesson and lessened up on the collateral damage…. Hopefully…. OK so he just wanted to get back at them for the not so small fortune they cost him.
And after all that he finally gets home for some r and r he gets a ping from the Hyoudou barriers, so he dropped what he was doing and rushed over. Only to find Issei fighting some creep with his sister. The same sister who he had been Avo-... Trying to find the right way to talk to for years! The walk to Issei's house was an emotional Rollercoaster on repeat: panic, anticipation, annoyance, wrath the the filth that tried to touch his sister, again and again. It's a miracl!e he managed to buy himself enough time without exploding and or wrapping Rias in a bear hug.
"What was I doing before he got the ping again again?" Aaron asked himself as he walked into his room.
The answer came in the form of two women tied to the bed glaring at him. One with scarlet hair with brown eyes, one blond with violet eyes, both very hot, very naked, and very annoyed by the look on their faces.
Aaron looked at the women for a moment.
"Fuck." He swore.
The women both raised their eyebrows.
"That bad?" Asked the blond.
Aaron didn't swear often. Oh he was sarcastic, rude, and made jabs at everyone but almost never actually swore.
"That bad." Aaron confirmed as he waved his hands towards the girls. As he did the ropes disappeared.
"Wanna talk about it?" The redhead asked.
"Sure, why not." Aaron said as he sat down, his head in his hands.
So Aaron proceeded to describe his Shitshow of a day.
"Do you want us to come with you?" The redhead asked.
Aaron sighed. "No Erza, I'll go alone, I don't want to overwhelm her."
Erza reluctantly nodded.
"So now that that's out of the way….." The blond trailed off as she curled up to Arron seductively.
Aaron replied. "Sleep please Amy."
Amy frowned. " You left us tied to the bed for two hours."
"I'll make it up to you, I promise." Aaron beged.
"Ffffffffiiiiiiiiiinnnnnneeeeeeeeee" Amy sighed. "But cuddles."
"Cuddles would be welcome." Aaron conceded.
Aaron collapsed onto the bed and was almost instantly wrapped in the softness of the two women and for the first time in what felt like ages let himself relax. Unconsciousness came instantly.
Sorry it took so long first my phone broke and I lost the story I wrote so far, then i moved out of my parents house then we had a family ski trip immediately after. Which really through of the seriousness of it until now. I
But any way to apologize for my lateness i have made my first challenge!
It's a certain magical index fic. If you haven't heard of the series i highly recommend it, though I would suggest the novels over the anime or manga. Just because the novel format provides information and phrasing that contribute greatly to the story.
A certain mysterious time loop
Spoilers I'd you haven't read the light novels.
Touma Kamijou maintained his sanity while going through Othinus' infinite hells, but then he had a clear solution; convince the Magic God to restore the world. But what would happen if he didn't have a clear solution?
Basically, suddenly and inexplicably, Touma finds himself stuck in a time loop, and being Touma he tries to solve every problem he finds without breaks. Needless to say this wears him down until eventually he reaches his breaking point. Enter Misaka Mikoto and Shokuhou Misaki who see their mutual crush/ unhealthy hero worship in this state which causes both their powers to rampage at once bringing them into the loop.
Touma x Misaka because she's my favorite heroine and Touma x Shokuhou because she deserves it.
Options
Length of time loop is up to you as well as when this loop happens and what is going on at the time.
Others can eventually be brought into the loop later but it has to start with Misaka and Shokuhou
Also whether or not Touma has realized they like him or not by the time they get in the loop is also up to you.
Suggestions
I would suggest it take place pre Touma's fight with Othinus because her being in the loop or not and just resting every loop would throw her character off, Touma was less sure of himself and had less defined rules before he saved her.
You should probably read the LN up to the latest though I'd you don't like them you could make it up as you go along
I strongly recommend reading Time Braid by Shaperv, and Chunin Exam Day by Perfect Lionheart. Great time loop fits to say the least.
Also maybe Touma the girls figuring out how to use magic? If he doesn't touch the spell with Imagine Breaker it should be ok.
