(3rd pov)
In an open field on the edge of a forest, a herd of bison could be seen wandering and grazing on the vegetation around with one particular bison standing out among the herd due to its size with a length of three metres and a height of a little over two.
It was an astonishing sight to behold, but it seems that even the other members of the herd were given it a wide breadth.
But that couldn't distract from the large scars and bald spots it had. They looked like bullet wounds and not of the small calibre either; they looked like ones that are used to hunt grizzly bears.
But despite the obvious injuries the giant seemed completely unbothered by it, some of the scars that looked new showed signs of healing, even the ones on its Head!
(??? pov)
It has been almost a month since that damn bison wrecked a car on the highway near town killing 3 people due to the direct impact alone and injuring one.
It charged head first into the front of the car that was moving at 80 km/h.
Frankly, it's a miracle that he survived. The truck looked like a crushed soda can.
Since then it has been slow leading the herd closer to town which is abnormal coupled with its aggressive behaviour we can't let come any closer.
But all our attempts at leading the herd away have not been effective and when we tried to take it down it just got even more aggressive but that was a given.
the problem lies in that we can't seem to kill it at this point we might have to call in the military or something.
I have been hunting wild game for nearly 20 years now and I have never seen anything like this.
"Tom... TOM" I heard someone shouting pulling me out of my thoughts" what is it dammit" I turned to see the town's sheriff talking to me.
"You were daydreaming again when you should be thinking about how to solve the problem. My brother didn't hire you to smell the breeze," he said looking annoyed.
"Dammit kid, can't you see I am trying me and my team have tried everything but we just don't have the firepower to kill it "it's just a bison there are thousands of them around how come you can't kill one,".
"Well, if it's just a bison why don't you go and kill it with your little pistol sheriff " I replied sarcastically and he just glared at me and walked away "stingy basterds".
I muttered under my breath as I turned around to look at the mountain my son likes to call it through my binoculars.
Only to see something odd the herd was agitated slowly inching away from the forest's edge 'but the mountain wasn't leading them, the herd always seemed to follow it before so what happened'?
As if to answer my question I saw the foliage move as if making way for something and something big.
My first thought was a bear. It would explain the swaying of the foliage and the herd's behaviour but what came out of the tree line was something far beyond my wildest expectations.
It was a man, a giant behemoth standing nearly 8 feet tall and impossibly wide covered in muscles that even from such distance gave off the impression of just how powerful he was.
(3rd pov)
In the field, the emergence of the man from the tree line was the final straw as the herd started running away in the opposite direction, leaving only the mountain to confront him.
Now as the mountain looked at the man in front of it its eyes seemed to turn red as it charged at him looking almost like a blur to the human eye and as the man and beast collided.
A deafening boom could be heard for miles away as the surroundings amplified the sound.
But contrary to what logic would dictate the man wasn't trampled, but he held on as the charge carried them into the forest carving a path and leaving slide marks in the soil.
(Jack's pov)
As I was being carried through the forest I planted my feet on the ground and twisted my body, throwing the mountain to the side and crashing it through multiple trees in the process.
'Well it's strong as the rumours say alright' I thought as I looked at the mountain as people started calling it standing up looking no worse for wear then.
'Well, no point in stretching this out. I got a plane to catch tomorrow, let's just see how effective my new move is' as I thought that the mountain had finished standing up and was preparing to charge at me again.
So I took my stance bringing my arms parallel to each other and Infront of my face while keeping it visible and lowering my centre of gravity as I spread my legs apart with one in front of the other to provide better stability not too different from a muay thai stance.
The mountain looked at me as it charged again but this time as soon as it got within my range I threw a punch 'blast core'.
Boooom!!
I watched as my fist connected with its head and it was pushed back into its body along with its neck as it went flying creating an empty line of broken and upturned trees and soil.
'Well it's definitely effective' I thought with a chuckle as smoke came off my fist, observing my surroundings and all the destruction I noticed that we are in the middle of nowhere.
'Damn how far did it push me we have to be at least 100 metres into the forest' I thought as I looked at the line of broken trees that was the path we came from.
'Well no point thinking about it, let's just get the carcass and find a place to camp, no point wasting all that meat after all' as I thought that I picked up the carcass and started running.
(Tom's pov)
As me and my son moved through the path left in the tree thinking about what I just saw 'what the hell was that idiot doing I really hope he wasn't one of the town's folk or that damned sheriff won't let this go until he gets back what little he paid'.
I sighed as I inspected the surroundings 'let's just hope we find the body soon or at least before we meet the bison' i was brought out of my thoughts by my son calling me "hey dad are you sure it was a man, not that I'm doubt you or anything it just seems a little unbelievable".
I frown as I turn to talk to him "dammit shaggy I already told you, I may be getting old but I'm not senile".
"Shesh alright you don't have to shout '' I simply sigh as I mutter "damned kid" as we were arguing we seemed to have come across a small area where the bison seemed to have stopped.
Looking around I told my son to start searching for the body. We started looking among the trees until I heard my son call "dad come look here".
"What did you find him? As I walk to my son I see him standing there looking in one direction "what the hell are you doing didn't i...".
And just when I was about to shout at him I froze just ahead. There was what looked like a path but it wasn't man-made. From the soil to the trees everything was destroyed.
It looked like a meteorite had crashed through "what the hell happened here".
"Dad, look!!" As I turn to look at my son I see him point at what seems to be a massive horn 'is that what I think it is' "dad is that mountain's horn".
"I think so.." as both of us stood in silence
"Wait, does that mean the mountain is dead?" my son asked. "It's possible there seems to be a pit of the skull attached to it," I replied.
"But what the hell could have done this".
"Didn't you say that you saw a man being attacked by it" my eyes widened at the realisation "we didn't find a body".
"Maybe it wasn't a man Maybe it was bigfoot," I sigh as I hear my son's words, "whatever it may be, we need to leave," I said.
"WHAT?! We are not gonna investigate ?"
SMACK!!
"Where the hell do we think we are scooby-doo" I yell at him "now move your ass before what ever did this comes back"
I start dragging my son by his arm as I try to get out of here as fast as possible.
But when we were walking back I noticed something: "we haven't found a carcass". I felt myself shiver at the realisation.
"But how the hell did it carry it a way that thing must have at least weighed about a ton and a half" i keep muttering to myself "well whatever it was it must have been one hell of a behemoth".
With that the prologue is finished, next chapter I can start putting characters and places from the original series.
I think 3 chapters for a prologue is more than good enough, Will that's all for now
Have an amazing day saisho out.
