I'm struggling to understand why people are coming over from my other story onto this one to tell me that they're surprised I am writing about a pairing that isn't Calzona. It is my story, it's clearly labelled Ariliza, if you don't want to read it then don't click.
ELIZA'S POV
"ELIZA!." The sound of banging woke me, Maggie's voice shot through my head like a bullet. "ELIZA WAKE UP!" I rolled over and checked on the time, wondering why Maggie had felt the need to come and wake me so early. 10:00 a.m. Fuck, I'm late. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
"I'M COMING." I dashed out of bed and quickly unlocked the front door, not bothering to greet my friend. I ran into my bathroom and started getting myself ready as quickly as possible, pulling on yesterday's worn clothes and scraping my hair up into a ponytail.
"Were you out drinking last night or something? I have been trying to get ahold of you all morning, when you missed coffee I came straight over here worried you were dead or something!" Maggie leant against the doorway of the bathroom, watching me panic with an amused look on her face.
"I had a few glasses of wine, I forgot to set my alarm. I haven't been sleeping too great so I guess my body needed the extra hours." I cleaned my teeth in record speed and brushed my foundation brush over my face using the excess product from yesterday and quickly added some mascara.
"I was half expecting to find you here with some girl," Maggie laughed, her words falling on death ears.
I grabbed my baseball cap from the side table, slid my bag over my shoulders and gestured for Maggie to move out of my way. "Come on, I'm ready let's go!" They both bolted out the door and sprinted across the road. "Fuck I can't believe we're gonna be late, she fucking hates it when we're late." We crossed the patch of grass in front of the Uni building and took the stairs leading up to the entrance two at a time.
"Oh yeah, Robbins is gonna be maaaad," Maggie replied as she held the door open for me, poking my side. "I'm sure you can just make it up to her after class."
I turned around, stunned, my body now walking backwards. Maggie had a huge grin on her face, her eyebrows arched and ready to go. "What are you talking about?" I said, my forehead scrunched.
"Oh come on, I know you've got the hots for her."
I rolled my eyes, turning myself back round as our classroom came into sight. "I do not, you're so desperate for gossip you're making up shit about your bestfriend now?" I laughed, my voice playful in an attempt to come across as relaxed.
"Mhmm, whatever you say," Maggie shook her head unconvinced.
"You were the one going on about how hot she was the other day, maybe I should be the one concerned about you!" She burst into a fit of laughter which caused me to follow suit, she gave me a push and followed it up with a mischievous smile before opening up the door.
Our laughter silenced as we walked into the room, the whole class looking over at us.
"Ladies, you're late," Professor Robbins tutted. "Take a seat," She pointed to the two available chairs directly in front of her.
"Sorry Professor Robbins," we both said quietly in unison as we took our designated seats. She shook her head at me when our eyes met.
Her body was leaning against her desk, our seats were at such close proximity to her that I could smell her perfume. The smell of coconut and vanilla intoxicated me and all I could do was sit and gaze up at her.
The first half of the lesson was filled with questions, a quiz and a quick debate. The second half she had started to play a video on the screen as she often did during class and I watched as she rounded her desk to take a seat behind it. I pouted, disappointed I could no longer get lost staring at her magnificent body.
"Hey," Maggie whispered, nudging me in my side. "She gave you a death stare when we walked in Els, I reckon she's going to give you a right seeing to later." I looked over at her opened mouth, shocked by her comment. I swatted her arm and shushed her causing her to giggle before she started making quiet kissing noises in the air, this caused me to fall into my own pit of giggles.
"Girls," Professor Robbins whispered in annoyance. I mouthed an apology to her but only received a glare in return. Oh no. After the video had finished I made every attempt to not let Maggie's teasing affect me, I instead focused on Arizona's lips as she spoke and it seemed to work quite well except it left me feeling incredibly turned on.
After Professor Robbins dismissed the class she called both Maggie and I over to her desk for a word. "Here it is, that seeing to I was talking about," Maggie whispered with a laugh.
"What on earth has gotten into you both today?" Professor Robbins stood in front of us with her hands on her hips. So sexy. "You're normally both the least of my troubles, why so disruptive today?" She looked between the two of us waiting for an answer.
"We are so sorry, Professor Robbins," I answered her sincerely. "It was honestly my bad, I overslept and I think I must've woken up on the wrong side of the bed today."
"Yes, really sorry. Definitely will not happen again," Maggie said, unable to make eye contact.
"It's fine, just don't let it happen again. Off you go," she finished, pulling her jacket over her shoulders.
I attempted to give her a small apologetic smile but with Maggie there Arizona was refusing to make eye contact with me so I whispered another sorry as we passed her and exited the room.
"That was fucking tense. Sorry El, you took the fall and it was my fault for making jokes in class. I am only messing with you about the Robbins stuff, I think I was more excited when we found out she was gay than you were!" Maggie exclaimed. She hooked her arm through my own as we headed towards our next class together, I became overwhelmed with relief at her words. My bestfriend being suspicious of me was not what I needed, definitely not what we needed.
As we packed up our bags once our last class had finished my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out to check who had messaged and saw a 1 next to my email inbox. As I pressed to open the app I had a sneaky suspicion who it might be from which was confirmed when I saw her name at the top of my inbox.
"Shall we head to the coffee shop now then since you bailed this morning?" Maggie's voice interrupted my excitement.
"Sure," I replied as I tapped to open the email.
Eliza,
Please come by my office before you leave today.
Arizona
That was not the sneaky, sexy email I had been hoping for when I saw she had messaged. I knew that she had told me last night that she wanted us to wait until I had graduated before anything happened between us, but a part of me woke up this morning feeling like she might have changed her mind.. but this message only confirmed our lack of relationship.
"Amelia just texted, she's gonna join," Maggie interrupted, again.
"Uh, what?" I replied, having not heard a single word she had been saying to me.
"Amelia is joining us for coffee."
"Oh, yeah I can't come. I just got a message from my sister and she has someone dropping something off at the flat in the next hour so I'm gonna have to get back to mine," I lied through my teeth.
"You want me to come with you? Then we can just go for coffee after," she smiled. Guilt washed over me, I felt terrible for lying to her but I didn't have much of a choice.
"No it's okay, I need to do some work anyway so I will text you when I'm free?"
"Okay sounds good to me! Amelia is waiting out front, you okay to walk to yours alone or do you want us to come with?"
I shook my head. "No you're fine, you two head off." She smiled and blew me a kiss before leaving.
I made a pit stop to the restroom on my way to Arizona's office so that I could spruce myself up before I saw her. I pulled off my cap off and tousled my hands through my hair but quickly realised there was no saving my locks today, re-tying it into a low pony and placing the cap back onto my head. I popped some chapstick on my lips and decided that was the best I could manage today.
When I reached her door I took a moment to collect myself, a few deep breaths and a quick pep talk later I felt ready, lifting my hand and knocking gently a few times.
"Come in."
I entered and saw her sitting at her desk with her laptop in front of her, her fingers typing away before she looked up to greet me with a look I couldn't quite read.
"Sit down," she demanded. I felt my nerves rise, unsure of the conversation that was about to take place. She finished up what she was typing and closed her laptop screen down. "What happened today?" Her tone was cold, her arms crossed and her eyes looked angry.
"What do you mean? I'm sorry I was late, I really did oversleep." Her emotions were confusing, surely my lateness hadn't caused this amount of frustration.
"Are you sleeping with her?"
Okay now I'm really confused. "Sleeping with who?" I looked at her with confusion, desperate for her to understand that I didn't know what was going on.
"Maggie. Are you sleeping with Maggie, Eliza."
I couldn't help but laugh out loud, which I quickly realised was a mistake when her eyes narrowed to slits. "No! No I'm not sleeping with Maggie. She is my friend. I have not, nor will I ever sleep with her."
She continued to glare at me but I caught a flash of relief in her eyes. Was this all because she thought Maggie and I were a thing? We were late to class together, and then the laughing and the being distracted. Ohhhhh.
"You're jealous," I said with a smile, my tongue licking my lips as I could barely contain my glee.
"No, I was-" she desperately tried to come up with an excuse, but my delight was evident and she too couldn't help but smile. "I was jealous."
"Mhmm." I smirked, my head tilted and my eyebrow raised.
She lifted herself from her chair and made her way around her desk. My breath caught in my throat in anticipation but instead of stopping in front of me, she passed by me towards the door. Before I could even ask what was happening I heard the door lock click and I turned to look at her. She leant against the door, staring at me, so I too got up and made my way towards her, stopping when she held up her hand to do so.
"We need some ground rules," she stated simply. I could see the rise and fall of her chest, her breathing was shallow and her voice was full of emotion.
"Okay. What for?" I waited with bated breath.
"For us."
I furrowed my brow. "But, the last conversation we had was you telling me that there can't be an us right now."
She pushed herself off the door and walked back around me, my eyes followed her. She lifted herself onto the edge of her desk and sat with one leg resting on top of the other, I couldn't help but stare.
"Are you dating other people?" She asked, resting her palms flat against the desk.
"No I'm not dating anyone," I was aching to know where this conversation was heading but I daren't rush her.
"Why?" She questioned me.
I closed the distance between us and stood in front of her, the chair I had been sat at moments before now touching the back of my knees. "Because I am only interested in you."
"I don't want you to date anyone else. Kiss anyone else," her breathing continued to be shallow, her eyes focused on my lips.
I took a second to look at her. She felt jealous today, so now she is telling me I'm not allowed to see other people, even though she's also told me that we aren't able to date eachother. Fuck it, it's now or never,I thought as I stepped between her legs.
"Arizona, what do you want?" I whispered, my hand coming up to rest on her thigh. "Because I know what I want." I ran my hand down her cheek, pushing a stray hair behind her ear the same as she had done that first night at the bar. "I want to kiss you."
ARIZONA'S POV
This was quite the predicament I had gotten myself into here; I was horny beyond belief, Eliza was offering herself up on a plate and her fingers hand travelled further south so they rested on my hips, the other hand on my thigh. Hers lips were hovering inches away from mine and I was desperate for her to close the gap.
"We have to wait until you've graduated, then we can date," my lips whispered. The gaze of her eyes was flickering between mine and my lips, it was taking everything she had to hold back and I found her self control incredibly sexy.
She ran her fingers back up my shirt and along my neck, as her hand cradled my cheek I couldn't help but lean into her touch. "I'm not asking to date you, Professor Robbins," she purred. "I'm telling you that I want to kiss you." She ran her thumb across my lips, dragging my bottom lip down and pushing her nail in gently. "I want to be able to kiss you when we're alone." Her hand pushed my head gently to the side so her mouth could attach itself to my neck, her lips kissed and sucked on my skin and I couldn't help but release a low moan. "I want to touch you, feel your skin against mine," she whispered. Her kisses trailed along my neck before her teeth latched on and bit down hard on my skin causing me to yelp. She pulled away, her eyes locked onto mine, they were dark - almost black and full of mischief. "Tell me you don't want me."
Fuck. I threw my head back at the sexiness of her words, taking the opportunity to release the breath I had been holding. "Eliza, you know I can't tell you that," I replied as I moved my head back to look into her eyes once again.
Before I knew it, her lips were on mine, her hand wrapped around the back of my head pulling me in closer. The kiss was all consuming, more than anything it was the way she kissed, a dance of tongue and lips, her mouth latching onto mine like there was no other sustenance she needed, sucking on my tongue while her hands roamed over my back. She started to pull away but I hooked my arms around her neck and crashed her lips back against mine, addicted to the taste of her already.
A loud knock on the door halted our movements. "Fuck." I whispered. Did I lock the door? Please say I locked the door. Eliza watched as I started to panic, grabbing my hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"Baby it's all good, you looked the door," she whispered, giving me a gentle kiss below my ear before moving herself to the other side of the room, hidden from view for when I opened the door. 'Baby', I could get used to that.
I crossed the room quickly, unlocking the door and swinging it open abruptly. "Teddy." I found myself to feel relieved to my friend, but also incredibly frustrated that she had interrupted a much anticipated private moment with my Eliza.
"Hey Arizona, I'm sorry I didn't mean to bother. I just wanted to ask if you wanted to hang out tonight? We can go back to that bar, I need a dance and you never know you might bump into that girl you met the other n-"
"Sure Teddy, sounds good. I'll send you a text when I'm done here okay", I interrupted hastily, desperate to get rid of her so Eliza and I could continue.
"Okay great, see you later!" She left with a smile and a wave.
I closed and locked the door, turning to find Eliza sitting on the window sill, her arms folded across her chest. "What girl was she talking about?"
I closed the gap between us and ran my hands up her arms, wrapping them around her neck. "Some girl from the the bar the other day, she was just looking for attention. I wasn't interested."
She looked at me with a pout on her lips. "I thought I was the girl from the bar." I could help but smile, how was it possible for someone to be so cute and so god damn sexy at the same time. I leant in and pulled her bottom lip between my teeth gently, biting down a little before releasing it with a 'pop'.
"You're the girl from my dreams," I said with a wink. She chuckled and placed a kiss on my lips, which quickly turned into something much more heated.
