A Robot Friendship.
Blitzcrank, an enormous, near-indestructible steam Omnic golem originally built to dispose of hazardous waste. Evolved beyond his primary purpose, Blitzcrank selflessly uses his strength and durability to protect others. Able to see past false veneers and artifice to the truth of an intention, Blitzcrank moves to help those in need. He spent a lot of time helping those in his home town, being known as the omnic with a heart of gold. But being a hero means there are always a villain waiting to challange you.
Like the newly freed Doomfist. He had recently managed to retrieve his gauntlet and was going to move through Blitzcranck's town. But the protector had managed to locate him and being a hero, he wasn't going to just allow an world wide villain just walk through his town like this. So he set out to stop him. Doomfist made no attempts to escape when Blitzcranck found him and wasn't that worried when Blitzcranck broke through the wall of the building Doomfist was currently in. Doomfist just gave the Omnic a look.
"So you are the golden guardian of this town?" Doomfist asked.
"And you are Doomfist. Surrender, or I will make you stop breathing, forever" Blitzcranck warned.
Doomfist chuckled "Amusing. I could use the exercice. Feel free to stop me if you can".
"You were warned, now face termination!" Blitzcranck declared as he made his fists spark with electricity and charged at Doomfist.
Doomfist smiled as he readied his gauntlet. Blitzcranck launched himself forward while Doomsift planted his feet into the ground making himself a wall of muscle when the massive Omnic Guardian ran in to him with a powerful tackle. Doomfist couldn't help but be slowly pushed back, his feet slowly sliding against the floor. Doomfist knew he wouldn't be able to stop the omnic like this, so he launched up his right knee, smashing it into Blitzcranck's face, but he refused to stop moving, in relation Doomfist brought his fists up in the air and swung them down like a sledgehammer into Blitzcranck's skull forcing him to let go. Now free from his grip Doomfist had a chance to truly use his gauntlet.
He could feel his legendary gauntlet surge with power, he lunged forward, his fist crashed into Blitzcranck with the force of a meteor, Blitzcranck massive body was flying through the room, he likely wouldn't have stopped if he hadn't smashed into wall. The force of the impact was so great that that it dented Blitzcranck's body. But the damage wasn't nearly enough to keep him down, so he got right back up again.
"So you are little more durable than most other robots I have crushed. Perhaps you will provide me with some entertainment after all" Doomfist said calmly.
Blitzcranck charged forward again, closing the distance quickly. Blitzcranck swung his fist upwards, hitting Doomfist into the air, while still in the air Blitzcranck sent shot out his hand, which was connected to a metal line and grabbed Doomfist's ankle and slammed him down to the ground hard. Blitzcracnk walked over and was ready to crush Doomfist's skull into the floor with his metal fists, until Doomfist shot himself into the air, and with electricizing surging through his gauntlet in a devastating Rising Uppercut to Blitzcranck's jaw, launching him a dozen feet into the air while nearly taking off his head.
Doomfist wasn't going to stop his assault just yet, he leaped forward into the air, slamming his feet into the omnic's chest and crashed into the floor, the entire building shook from the massive impact. Doomfist lifted the massive omnic over his head and hurled him away with all his strength. Blitzcranck slammed in to another wall and had some rubble fall on top of him.
Doomfist brushed himself of before turning around to leave... until a metal hand grabbed him by the face and he felt himself get pulled across the room before Blitzcranck caught him and charged Doomfist through a wall. He held Doomfist down by the face before raising his free hand to punch him. But Doomfist raist his gauntlet and managed to catch the blow. Doomfist kicked Blitzcranck of him before getting up with a serious look on his face. He was done holding back.
Blitzcranck didn't even see him move... Doomfist's gauntlet was just suddenly in his face, knocking him down. He Saw Doomfist leaping high in to the air before coming crashing down like a meteor. After that all Blitzcranck could see was statics, before he heard some voice telling someone to dump him somewhere.
A while later, Blitzcranck had been dumped in the middle of a random forst. Still damaged from the fight he wandered aimlessly through the forest before one of legs gave out and he fell down. But he managed to see something wal up to him before his vision went black.
A text appeared, signaling his systems were slowly getting back up and running again. When his vision was back he saw another omnic was fixing him up. It was a model Blitzcranck had seen before. It was a Bastion. But this didn't make sense. Bastion robots were originally created for peacekeeping purposes, and Bastion units possessed the unique ability to rapidly reconfigure themselves into an assault-cannon mode. But during the Omnic Crisis, they were turned against their human makers, forming the bulk of the omnics' rebel army. Following the resolution of the crisis, nearly all of the remaining Bastion units were destroyed or disassembled. To this day, Bastion units still symbolize the horrors of the Omnic Crisis. So it was safe to say Blitzcranck had a hard time computing the fact that one would help him.
"Excuse me, I am grateful for your assistance. But I'm sorry, I have to request your permission to access your memories" Blitcranck said.
Bastion peeps, but allows Blitzcrank to attach a wire between them, which allowed Blitzcranck to access any memory files Bastion still possessed. It wasn't easy to make everything out, but Blitzcrank was able to discover that Bastion was programmed with the mission to attack Stuttgart alongside many other Bastion units, but he was severely damaged during the fight. He then laid dormant in the forest near Eichenwalde, forgotten for over a decade. One day, a bird started to build a nest on Bastion's right shoulder, and accidentally reactivated him. Bastion has all but lost his combat programming and now explores its surroundings, fascinated by the world and its inhabitants. But most of all he has developed a strong love for nature and has been living in this forest for a long while now.
"I see. You have lost your old programming and are now free" Bltzcrank said and Bastion only peeped for a bit "I would indeed like for your to show me around".
Bastion beeped happily and walked away, with Blitzcrank following him. This forest was indeed beautiful, and Blitzcrank could see why Bastion enjoyed living here. Still Blitzcrank couldn't stop thinking about his own home. He hoped his friends were still safe, until a bird landed on his head. Instead of brushing it away, Blitzcrank lifted his finger to it, allowing it to jump on to it.
"I see. You are the bird who reactivated Bastion" Blitzcrank said as the bird just chirps, if Blitzcrank had lips he would be smiling "He was lucky you found him. Or he would rust away, forever".
Bastions beeps a little and the bird began flying around, with Bastion all but dancing with it. Blitzcrank was amused by the scene before he noticed something aiming at the bird. Making his eyes go wide and he sent his hand forward, just in time to block a shot that would've hit the bird. Bastion's eye turned red as he scanned the area for whoever fired.
"Whoever is here! Show yourself!" Blitzcrank demanded.
"Wow wow wow! Easy!" A young boy said as he came out of the trees "I didn't know the bird had an owner! I was just trying to catch some food".
Bastion was about to run in to his turret form to gun the boy down, but Blitzcrank quickly stopped him "Bastion! Stand down! No killing humans!".
Bastion's eye turned back to normal and he let out a sad beep.
"I understand. Old programming, hard to forget" Blitzcrank said.
Though Bastion's new nature is gentle, his core combat programming takes over when he senses danger, utilizing his entire arsenal to eliminate anything he perceives as a threat. This has led to instances of conflict with the few humans he has encountered, and he tries to avoid populated areas in favor of the wild, uncharted regions of the world.
"Thanks for the save big guy. I won't try to shoot the bird again. Honest" The boy said.
"I can help you find human food. But what is your name?" Blitzcrank asked.
The boy smiled at that "My name is Ezreal. I am a traveler who wants to see the world".
"You travel the world? Why?" Blitzcrank asked.
"I am a thrill seeker. I want to see everything the world has to offer. Even going to dangerous places and overcomes seemingly impossible odds. I am an orphan and my home wasn't that great. So I have nothing to lose, only something to gain. And with any luck, maybe I will pick up a girl along the way. All with the help of my little gadget here" Ezreal explained, holding up his gloved hand which was powered by some kind of energy.
Bastion peeps in confusion, so Blitzcrank had to explain "Just like animals, humans some times feels the urge to mate with a member of their species".
Ezreal blushed "Hey, don't make it sound like I am a perv! Anyway, I don't mind having some companions with me. As long as your friend don't try to gun me down that is".
"Bastion only attacks if provoked. I am called Blitzcrank, and I want to follow you on your journey, until I can find a way back home" Blitzcrank said.
"Great! Since I can't risk killing animals, then barriers will have to do. Let's go!" Ezreal said as he began walking away.
Blitzcrank looked at Bastion "You want to travel the world?".
Bastion lets out a happy peep, and the two omnics began following the young adventurer. All of them had made two new friends today. The irony was not lost on them that they became friends moments after nearly killing each other And now they were of together to see the world.
And maybe pick up a girl, since Ezreal wanted that.
