Willow sat on the veranda watching Matt and Jasmine running around on the beach. Silent tears running down her face. Still absorbing the news that Dr Britt had just given her, trying to work out how she was going to tell Matt and the others. She must have been really out of it as she didnt hear Matt calling her. "Hey Wills, you ok? Whats going on?" He asked as he sat next to her. He could tell that she'd been crying, "Wills talk to me. Whats wrong? I know youve been crying" "Beth called. The results came back early, as inconclusive. I have to go to the hospital on Friday for more tests. Something is really wrong Matt, i can feel it" Willow said quietly, a hint of fear in her tone. "Wills everything will be alright. You want me to come with you?" Matt asked as he put his arms around her. "I think i need to work out how to tell the others, and i might need you to stay with Jas. Shes so young she wont understand" Willow said as Matt kissed her and said "Whatever you want and need Wills. Im here"
"Wills? You ok? Youve been quiet on the drive back" Matt said as he pulled up to the house. "Im ok Matt. Can we talk once this one is in bed" Willow replied, turning to face Jasmine who was asleep in the back of the car. Matt nodded as they got out of the car. "Why dont you go chill and ill take her up. Ill come back give you the grand tour of the new layout and grab the bags from the car" he said as Willow replied, "that would be amazing but Matt, leave the bags until tomorrow. Its already late" as they entered the living area Willow slumping onto the sofa as Matt carried Jasmine up to bed. Matt returned ten minutes later and smiled as he saw Willow asleep on the sofa. "Oh Wills, what is going on with you?" He said quietly as he sat beside her, lifting her head onto his lap. He turned on the tv and flicked through the channels until he came across one of his favourite tv shows, Breaking Bad and began to watch. He watched a few episodes before Willow awoke. "How long have i been out Matt?" she asked sleepily as Matt replied "Just a few dont you head on up to bed Wills? I'll be up shortly and we can save the grand tour for the morning" "Take me on the tour now Matt. But i think i need a drink first, do you mind getting me a water?" Willow said as she sat up. "You feeling ok Wills?" Matt asked as Willow nodded, smiling and replied "im ok, just really thirsty. And i really really want to see this new set up" "OK Wills, you win. Ill grab you a water and anything else you want. Then show you around" Matt said, succumbing to her smile as he left the room, returning a few minutes later with her drink. "You know, youre so beautiful Wills" He said as he passed her the bottle of water "Even though i look like a whale and feel like shit?" she replied as Matt laughed, "Youre always beautiful to me Wills. Now are you ready?"
"Matt, this extension is incredible. The kitchen diner is amazing" Willow said as Matt lead her upstairs to show her the girls wing of the house. "Matt this is... its too much." she said as he showed her the girls new playroom and Rubys nursery. "Thats not all Wills. I got your surprise to come" Matt said taking her to their bedroom. Standing outside the door Matt instructed Willow to close her eyes, which she did, holding his hand tighter. "Matt what is going on?" she asked as he opened the door and led her into their new and improved room. "Open your eyes Wills" he whispered as Willow gasped at how beautiful their new room was. "Matt this... this is just gorgeous. Its stunning" Willow said as Matt said "Go thorough that door there" As Willow walked over to the door and opened she let out a small squeal of delight. "You made me a walk in dressing room? This is... I ... im speechless. I love you" she said as Matt joined her "I love you too Wills. You deserve this, I didnt move your stuff in as i wasnt sure how you'd organise it" he said "But we can do it together tomorrow if you want. Amy and Adam have said they'll take Jas for a few hours if we want" he said as Willow turned to face him and kissed him. "That would be amazing. Right now though, i have a better idea" she said as she led him back in to the bedroom and to the bed.
"So was i right in doing the expansion?" Matt asked in the early hours as Willow lay in his arms. "You were Matt. Its incredible and you havent shown me the gym yet" she said as he kissed her forehead "or the cinema room or the pool" he added. "Matt, im sorry for being distant yesterday. I was just trying to process everything and im still trying to understand how the tests were inconclusive" Willow said, sighing before adding "and now im working out how to tell everyone else" "Dont worry about that Wills. I'll be there when you do" Matt said as Willow smiled "I love you Wills. Im going to be there no matter what" "I love you too Matt" Willow replied as she closed her eyes and fell asleep in his arms. The following day, Matt showed off the rest of the house to Willow and Jas, who was so excited to have a cinema and a new pool, where they spent the remainder of the afternoon. Willow loved watching Matt and Jasmine splashing around as she chilled in the indoor room. I think i need to tell everyone together. Get it out in the open, ask mom to come with me on Friday. Matt needs to stay with Jas. She thought as she watched the two loves of her life in the pool. She took out her cell and messaged the rest of the family to come over to the house later as there was something they needed to hear.
"Anyone have any clue why Willow called us here?" Trish asked as she, along with Jeff, Amy, Elly and Phil all made their way up the long driveway to the house. "I have no idea Trish. Although im wondering if shes had any news about her test results" Elly replied as Amy sighed. "If it is about her results, i hope its been good news. I dont think Willow could take anymore bad news." she said as the neared the door, which was opened by Matt as he saw them coming. "Hey guys, thanks for coming over. Wills is just putting Jas to bed" he said as the group entered the house. "Any idea why shes called us here Matt?" Amy asked as Matt replied "Willow will explain when shes down" as he heard Jasmine causing a fuss upstairs, "Guys chill out. Ill go check on Wills and Jas" he said before disappearing, with Willow appearing a few minutes later. "Everything ok Wills?" Amy asked as they hugged. "Jas. She wont settle tonight" Willow said as she sat on the sofa. "She wants to be back at the beach house" she added as they heard Matt closing the door upstairs, before coming down the stairs, joining Willow on the sofa. "Shes finally down. You told them yet Wills?" he said as Willow shook her head. "I was waiting for you." She said, taking his hand as Jeff asked "Whats going on?" as Willow sighed "Beth called yesterday and i got my results. They came back as inconclusive..." "Wait what? How can they be inconclusive?" Elly asked as Willow shook her head. "I dont know Elly. I have to go to the hospital on Friday for more tests" Willow said looking at Amy, before asking "Will you come with me mom? Matt is going to take Jas out for the day and i could really use some support there" "Of course i'll be there Wills, and after too. We all will" Amy replied as Elly hugged her sister. "You want to come too Elly?" Willow asked as Elly nodded and replied "Try and keep me away" as they spent the rest of the night catching up.
"How are you feeling Wills?" Amy asked a few days later as they drove to the hospital. "Im terrified. Ive barely slept these last few nights, I just want some answers" Willow said as Elly touched her hand. "Everything is going to be ok Wills. How are you and Matt doing? I didnt get a chance to ask the other night" "We're doing ok. Getting there slowly." Willow said as they pulled into the car park. "We've barely talked about New York and everything that happened. But i dont care. We're focussed on Rubes and getting this diagnosis before anything. I just hope we dont get any unwanted spies" she said as she took a deep breath before saying, "Lets go in and get these tests done"
"Mom, Elly, thank you for being here today. I dont think i could have gotten through all those tests without you" Willow said as the three women left the hospital after spending most of the morning there. "Like we'd have been anywhere else" Elly replied as she pulled her sister in for a hug. "Do you know what you're going to tell Matt yet?" Amy asked as Willow shook her head and replied "The only thing i can tell him is about what happened today." "Does that include the suggestion Beth made?" Elly asked as Willow nodded. "I have too. Its not going to be easy though" she sighed before adding "Do you mind if we go somewhere else before we go home? Im not quite ready to go back just yet. I just need to clear my head"
