The walk up to the house seemed to last an eternity to Willow, entering the house to silence. Heading into the living area she took a deep breath, holding back tears after the encounter and her head spinning after the kiss with Matt. "Matts taken Jas up to bed, ready for you to go sing to her" Amy said, seeing the look on her daughters face. "You ok Wills? You look confused and upset" "I'm ok mom, just got some stuff to figure out. Im going to go put Jas to bed and i'll be back" Willow replied heading upstairs, hoping that she'd also catch Matt before he headed back downstairs. Luckily as she opened the door to Jasmines room, Matt was leaving. "Shes already out Wills. She was exhausted and as soon as she hit the pillow she was asleep" he said as she grabbed his hand and led him to her bedroom, before closing the door and kissing him, as they pulled apart Willow said "we also need to talk"
"Thanks for being out there tonight Matt, with Jenna and Kristen. If you werent there, i probably would have punched both of them" she said quietly, not wanting to be overheard. "You and Kristen seem to have a hell of a history" Matt said as he felt her put her hand into his, as she nodded and explained "Ever since we were twelve. She and two others bullied me relentlessly, making fun on my hair, because i was taller than them, skinny, smarter. Literally any reason they could find they would use it. It got worse when Dean left her for me at fifteen after i beat them in a school talent show. The called me every name under the sun, made fun of my singing. They actually made me stop singing for a long time. If i didnt have Dean back then, i probably wouldnt be singing now" "Well they sound like petty, jealous girls" Matt said as Willow sighed "Me and him, we were strong for about four and a half years, until i went off to uni and was singing at an event. He turned up to surprise me and boy did he surprise me" Willow said, revealing to Matt the longevity of her relationship with Dean for the first time. He knew that they'd been together a while, just not the length of time "What did he do?" Matt asked, surprised at how open she was being with him about her past relationship. "I was on stage, ready to sing and i saw him at the bar with his tongue down Kristens throat. I told him we needed a break later that night after a huge fight, we didnt talk for almost two months. We eventually made up where he told me that she had harrassed him every day on our break, wanting to get back with him. And then we were good, even when i was getting hounded by the press for being his girl. Even though we'd already been together for four, almost five years by that point they still called me a goldigger. I dropped out of uni because it was too much. They followed me everywhere. Then came my twenty first birthday. The day i found out i was adopted. The day i decided to come to America to find Amy. He said he'd wait until i returned and then he was going to propose, but we both know how that turned out. Six months over here and i found out he'd been fucking Jenna for at least four of those. We'd been growing apart but it still hurt. Both of them betraying me, Jennas hurt more because she knew what we'd been through with him cheating on me in the past" she said as Matt put his arms around her. "Best decision he ever made, cheating on me. It meant i ended up with you" she added, as he kissed her. "But why are you telling me this now Wills? After all this time?" he asked as she said "I dont know, i guess seeing them both tonight brought alot of bad memories back. But it also reminded me i have people who genuinely love me and care about me back home" "But i know you Wills, you want to talk to Jenna dont you?" Matt said as she sighed. "Honestly, i dont know if i could face her. Anyways, we better head downstairs before those two start talking about us, but want to sneak up here later?" Willow asked as she kissed him again. Matt nodded as they headed downstairs.
"You two were a while, everything ok?" Amy asked as the two secret lovers headed downstairs. "Jas was out straight away and i just had to talk to Matt in private for five minutes" Willow said as they sat on the sofa opposite. "So want to tell us what was going on out there?" Adam asked as Willow explained every thing about Jenna and Kristen. She'd been talking for around half an hour when they heard Ruby upstairs. Willow began to get up to go see her, but Matt stopped her. "I'll go, you stay with Ames and Adam" Willow nodded, and Amy waited until Matt was out of sight before asking "And what about that kiss? We both saw it from inside, is there something going on?" "It was a fake kiss. To throw those two bitches off the scent. It meant nothing" Willow replied, lying to her mom. "If that was a fake kiss, then that was one hell of a performance from the two of you" Adam said as Willow sighed. "You know with me and him its complicated. Ive said im not ready for a relationship with anyone, im still hurting from Harry" she said as Adam added "you know hes still in love with you? He admitted to it this afternoon" as Willow nodded. "Yeah hes told me, but hes also said hes not going to force anything. At the moment, me and Matt, we are friends and are focussing on the girls. They need stability and it'll be easier once im home. I also need to work out how to tell the girls hes going back on the road on Friday" she said as Matt reappeared. "So when do you move back Wills?" Adam asked as Matt sat next to Willow. "Ten days. Theres still loads to do at the house, so i need to find somewhere to stay for two, maybe three weeks" she replied as Matt said "Why dont you stay in our place?" "I cant. It would be too weird and complicated" Willow replied as Amy questioned "Our place?" "Sorry Amy, slip of the tongue" Matt replied before adding "But to me, it will always be our place" "You know, being here like this, it feels like old times. You two look like a couple again" Amy said, hiding a yawn. "Why dont you head on up mom? Its been a long day" Willow said as Amy nodded. "Thanks for babysitting the girls. I really needed to have that catch up with Vince" Willow replied as Amy headed upstairs, Adam said "Im going to head up too, like you say its been a long day" before following Amy upstairs, leaving Matt and Willow alone again.
"So ten days huh?" Matt asked as Willow nodded, "I know its crazy thinking i'll be leaving this place and coming home but not being at the place i really want to call home" she said as Matt put his arms around her. "You know i go back on the road on Friday and wont be home for at least a month. You'd have the house to yourself" He said as Willow nodded , "Yeah Vince told me. Why didnt you?" she asked as he shrugged his shoulders. "I dont know, i guess i just wanted to make sure you were in a good place before telling you" he replied as she smiled. "Im getting into a good place. So where are you headed on this tour?" "Ive got eight more stops in the UK, onto France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy and a few more places but not confirmed for those yet" Matt said before coming up with an idea. "Actually, one of the stops in France is Paris. It would be right before you fly back home, why dont you and the girls come to Paris for a few days and we'll go do something fun as a family?" he suggested as Willow asked, "What do you have in mind?" "I dont know, it just came to me. Maybe take the girls to Disneyland? Jas and Rubes will love it. Spend a day sightseeing? Act like tourists like we used to do?" he said as Willow smiled, "That actually sounds like fun. I'll see if i can change my flights to go from Charles DeGaulle instead of Heathrow" she replied as she leaned into him, placing her head on his shoulder. "So, want to watch a movie or go have some fun upstairs?" She whispered in his ear, as he took her hand and lead her upstairs, where they both fell into bed together, for yet another night of sex.
"Remember the last time we were in Paris?" Willow asked as she lay in Matts arms, "it feels like a lifetime ago. "What was that hotel we stayed in? With those amazing views" he replied as Willow put her arm around him and said "i cant remember, i just remember the date night we had. We ate at the restaurant in the Eiffel Tower, had a walk by the Seine almost getting lost before the most incredible sex" "That must have been so early on in our relationship. But it was amazing, and i felt so lucky to be in a beautiful city with the most beautiful woman in the world" Matt said as he kissed her forehead. "That was a good tour. It was one of my first, if not my first" Willow replied as she kissed him. "I think we should tell the girls tomorrow about you going back on the road, but i kind of want to keep Paris a surprise for them" she said as Matt nodded, "You know its still early, want to have some more fun?" she suggested flirtily as he kissed her, as once again they slept together.
"So you didnt say how Raw went yesterday" Amy asked Willow in the kitchen the following morning as they made coffee. "It was good mom. Really good to see everyone and i really needed to have that chat with Vince. We were talking for hours" Willow replied, as Amy said "You miss it out there dont you? I can tell" "I do, but priorities have changed these last eighteen months" Willow replied, not telling Amy about the Wrestlemania plans for the following year. "I know Matts offered his place for you to go stay in back home, but why dont you stay with me and Nevaeh? Adam will be on the road and theres plenty of space" Amy said as Willow nodded and said "That sounds like a better idea. I mean i'd feel so uncomfortable back at the old place. So many memories back there that would mess with my head" as Jasmine came running into the kitchen. "Hi beautiful, what are you after?" Willow asked as Jasmine hugged her "I just wanted to say hi momma" Jasmine replied "and dada says family meeting later" before running off. "What did she mean by family meeting?" Amy asked as Willow replied "I guess its us telling the girls Matt is going back on the road on Friday" a hint of sadness in her voice, "I just want the girls to spend as much time with him as possible before then" she added as Amy hugged her. "Youre going to miss him too. I know you Wills" she said as Willow sighed "I guess its been a crazy month and we're still working on building trust and our friendship again" "You know im going back in a few days, once Adam is back on the road. But i can postpone if you want me to stick around" Amy said as Willow shook her head, I'll be ok mom. I kind of need you to check on how the house is coming along" she said, as the two women headed into the living area.
"Hey Jas, Rube can you two come here for five minutes" Willow called as she sat next to Matt on the sofa later that afternoon. "Whats going on momma?" Jasmine asked curious as she and her sister made their way over to their parents. "We've just got something to tell you " Willow said as Ruby climbed onto her knee for cuddles. "You two know that ive loved being here these last few weeks with you and your mom, but i have to go to back on the road on Friday" Matt said as Jasmine said "No daddy! Stay here with us. I dont want you to go" "Jas, we'll be back home in a few weeks and you can see dad every day" Willow said as Jasmine sulked. "Jas, i'll facetime you every day and i'll bring you a present back from every place i go to" Matt said as Jasmie pouted on the floor, "Its not going to be forever Jas. Remember a few weeks back i said i was going to be making up for this last year, i meant every word. There may even be a surprise for you before you come back" he added as he sat next to her on the floor. "A surprise? What kind of surprise daddy?" Jasmine asked as she shuffled closer to him. "That would be telling my little Jasdoll. But from now until Friday im here for tea parties and princess movies" he said as Jasmine hugged him. "Can we have a tea party now daddy?" Jasmine asked as Matt looked at Willow, who nodded. "Hey Jas, why dont you set up the tea party and i'll go make snacks" Willow said as Jasmine went and got her tea party set. Matt took Ruby from Willow who headed into the kitchen. Placing Ruby on the floor with Jasmine, Matt followed her into the kitchen. "You ok Will? You were pretty quiet there" he asked as Willow nodded. "Im ok, its just been a long year to get to this point" she said, slicing a carrot for the tea party. "But can we talk later? Once the girls are in bed? Mom, Adam and Nevaeh will be back late" she added, as Matt nodded as he sliced an apple. "Why dont you go spend time with the girls Matt? I'll be through in a bit with snacks and drinks" Willow said, smiling at him as he headed out of the kitchen and into the living room.
The afternoon quickly turned into night. Ruby was asleep on Matt and Jasmine was cuddled up next to him as they watched a movie. Willow had gone up to take a bath, the first time she'd relaxed in days. Although he hadnt said anything to Willow, he was worried after seeing the blood in her vomit before Raw. "Daddy, are you and mommy back together?" Jasmine asked as Matt put his arm around her. "Why do you ask that Jas?" Matt replied, as Jas said "Because shes happy and you is happy. Mommy was always happy with you Daddy and really really sad without you" "And im the same Jas. But you know what makes both me and mom happy?" Matt replied as Jasmine shook her head, as he continued "You and Rubes. You two are the most important people to us and we want you to be happy because that makes us happy. Are you happy Jas?" "I am daddy" Jasmine replied as she yawned. "Sleepy Jas? Ready for bed?" he asked as Jas half nodded. Matt grabbed Ruby as he stood up and Jasmine took his hand as he led them upstairs to put them to bed. "Hey Jas, why dont you go on into your room,put on your pyjamas and pick out a story while i put Rubes down. I'll be in to read to you in five minutes" he said as Willow came out of the bathroom. "Hey guys, is it bedtime already?" she asked as Jasmine hugged her. "Daddys going to come read me a story momma" "Is he now?" Willow replied as she hugged her daughter. "I said i would earlier, so i am" Matt replied as he returned from putting Ruby to bed. "Come on Jas, say goodnight to mom" he said as Jasmine gave Willow an extra tight squeeze. "Goodnight momma, i love you" Jasmine said as Willow replied "Love you more Jasdoll" before kissing her head, as Matt took her to her room. Willow heading into her room, where she quickly dried off and threw on one of Matts tshirts, which was oversized on her along with some shorts before heading out into the hallway, where she overheard Matt reading to Jas and it made her smile.
She barely had a chance to breath when Matt exited Jasmines room. "You always did look good in my tshirts" he said as he pulled her close and kissed her. "I dont know about you, but i am starving Matt" Willow said as they pulled away, as he replied "theres some pasta in the pan downstairs. Want to go eat and talk?" as Willow nodded, slipping her hand into his and leading him downstairs. They ate together, both trying not to be flirty with the other but failing. "So what did you want to talk about Wills?" Matt asked as they sat in the living area. "Paris is going ahead. I managed to change my flights home, going to spend a few days in Chicago with Elly and then going to stay with mom until the house is ready" Willow said as Matt nodded. "Hey i get it, our place is full of memories for you, both good and bad. You know youre always welcome to come and stay over" Matt said as Willow smiled at him. "It'll be harder trying to sneak around behind everyones backs while im at Moms, but we'll try and make it work" "Of course we will. I know you dont want people knowing about us, and that youre not ready for a full on relationship but i love you Wills. Youre in control of this" Matt said as Willow put her hand on his. "I love you too Matt, I just need to heal from Harry, the cancer and this past year, then maybe we can tell everyone" she replied as she kissed him, before asking "Want to watch a movie before the others return?"
It was almost midnight as Amy, Adam and Nevaeh entered the house and saw Matt covering a sleeping Willow, who was in a deep sleep on the sofa. "She ok Matt?" Amy asked as Adam carried Nevaeh up to bed, "Shes just tired after this last week. I think Raw took alot out of her too" he replied as he sat on the sofa opposite her. "You know shes still healing from the cancer treatment, shes been drifting in and out all night. Let her sleep" he added. "How did it go telling the girls?" Amy asked as Matt sighed. "Ruby is still too young to understand but Jas sulked until i said im here until Friday and we had a tea party" he said before adding "And Wills told me about staying with you" "How do you feel about that Matt? I know you said she could stay at your place" Amy asked, as Willow let out a groan in her sleep. "Im good with that Ames, honest. I think Wills is going to need you for the next few weeks. You know she vomited blood before Raw?" he said as Amy shook her head. "Why didnt she say anything?" she asked "I guess she didnt want you worrying. She said it could be the last of the harder drugs leaving her system, but she wont know for definite until she sees Beth back home" he said as Adam came back down. "I think she was hit with alot of information really quickly and is still absorbing it and processing it in her head, especially Victor. She thought she'd never be rid of him" "You know he came after you too Matt. Youre allowed to feel relieved too" Adam said as Matt nodded "And i am, but more for her" he replied, glancing at the sleeping Willow. "Matt, we know you care about her but do you really think its wise to be getting close to her again? Especially with her current head space?" Adam asked as Willow began tossing and turning on the sofa, moaning and talking in her sleep.
"No, no please no Victor" Willow groaned as she thrashed around on the sofa. "Victor get off me... stay away from me..." "Whats wrong with her? Why is she talking about him?" Amy asked as a realisation hit Matt, "Its around this time four years ago we got the call to go save her from Ravenhearst" he said "No wonder her head is messed up" Adam said as Willow suddenly bolted upright, panting and dripping in sweat. "Wills? Wills you ok? You were thrashing about, talking about Victor in your sleep" Matt asked as Willow looked at him tearfully. "Why was i talking about him?" she asked as Amy explained it was almost the anniversary of her coming home from Ravenhearst. "How the fuck did i forget about that? Im a mess" she sobbed as Matt put his arms around her. "Matt, i know we said we're just going to be friends but will you stay with me tonight?" she asked quietly as Amy asked "Are you sure thats a good idea Wills? I dont mind staying with you" "Im sure mom, Ive always felt safe around Matt" Willow replied, as Amy and Adam became curious as to the real nature of their relationship.
