Ollivander's (Day)

The wand store was narrow and shabby, and had windows so dusty you couldn't even see through them. "Is this the right place?" Harry asked.

"It's the only wand shop I could find. It's either this or pretending to use a stick." Dominic blanched, unsure of what he was looking at. "Let's just get it over with." he said, going through the door. It was dark inside, with large shelves present behind the counter. A crash was heard, causing Dominic to finally notice a man in the back of the shop. "Are you okay? That sounded like a bad fall. And I know bad falls."

The man came to the counter, dust all over his graying facial hair. "Oh, I'm perfectly fine. Just a little bruised." the man said jokingly, not fooling the blonde at all. He then turned to Harry, a shocked look on his face when he did so. "I was wondering when you'd come to see me, Mr. Potter."

"You know me?" Harry asked as the man started pulling boxes from the shelves.

"But of course. There's nary a person in our community who doesn't know your name." the man told the boy, confusing him.

"What do you mean? Harry's been with me since he was an infant. How could his name be famous?" Dominic asked, curious. He wondered if it had something to do with Harry's birth parents.

"In the past, there was a war between wizards. There were those who fought for death and destruction, and their leader was one of the most powerful dark wizards out there. Anyone who opposed him was killed without remorse. Everyone barring you, Harry." the man said, shocking the family. Dominic knew Harry was strong in the Undead Element, but to resist dying outright? Even he failed at that!

"Where's this guy now?" Dominic asked, wanting to tear this dark wizard to shreds.

"Some say he died. Though, I am not of that mindset." the man said, staying silent for a few seconds. "Anyways, you came for a wand, right?"

"Is this not a wand shop?" Calore asked sarcastically. The twitch in the man's eye was not unnoticed by her.

"It seems only yesterday your mother and birth father came here to buy their first wands." the man said, going to the back to find a rectangular box. "Here we are." He went back to Harry, opened the box, and gave him the wand that was inside. When the boy did nothing, he said "Give it a wave." out of impatience.

Harry waved his new wand, causing several of the boxes in the back to fly of the shelves. Embarrassed, Harry put the wand back in it's box.

"Apparently not." the man said, going back to the wands. "Perhaps this." he said as he handed Harry another wand. When he wove this one, it caused a vase to explode. The shrapnel managed to hit Dominic's ear, tearing out a chunk. "No, definitely not." the man said.

"Oh, you think!?" Dominic yelled as he grabbed the discarded ear piece and fused it back to his head.

"No matter." the man said as he grabbed a third wand box. When he saw which one in particular it was, he got an idea. "I wonder..." he mused as he walked back to the front desk. He handed the wand to Harry, carefully, and marveled at the results. Once the boy made contact with the wand, his eyes started glowing green and Undead Magic permeated through the shop. "Curious. Very curious." the man said.

"I'm sorry. What's curious?" Harry asked.

"I remember every wand I've ever sold, Mr. Potter. It just so happens that the Phoenix who's tail feather resides in your wand gave another feather. Just one other." the man said, his voice gaining a grim tone. "It is curious that you should be destined for this wand when it's brother gave you that scar."

King's Cross Station (Afternoon)

By the time the trio had entered the building, Harry realized something rather important. "Wait, how are we going to board the train without a ticket?" he asked, making Dominic stop momentarily.

"Give me a moment." the blonde said, looking around for a wizard or witch with a ticket. In the blink of an eye, he had a ticket in his hand. "There you go." he told Harry as he gave him the ticket. Once the boy read the number, he became confused.

"This says Platform 9 3/4. There's no such thing, right?" Harry asked.

"In my experience, there's no such thing as the term 'No such thing'." Dominic said as he lead the group to an attendant. "Excuse me, would you mind telling us where Platform 9 3/4 is?" he asked the man, who looked at him like he was crazy.

"9 3/4? You think you're being funny, do ya?" the man asked.

"Always." Dominic replied as the man left. "Well, that was no help." he said as a red haired woman walked past with several children. The magical signature coming off of them was so strong, Dominic would've had to be fully blind to miss them. Thankfully for him, Harry, and Calore, he was only half-blind.

"It's the same every year. Packed with muggles, of course." the woman said to her offspring, prompting the Xiao-Longs to follow. "C'mon, Platform 9 3/4 this way." They eventually stopped at a brick wall that was sandwiched between Platform 9 and Platform 10.

'Clever.' Dominic noted as a red haired boy ran THROUGH the wall. When that happened, the monarch felt space itself shift.

"Fred, you next." the woman said, gesturing to one of two identical twins.

"He's not Fred, I am!" 'Fred' said in outrage. Calore had seen her aunt do enough pranks to know when someone was playing one.

"Honestly, woman, you call yourself our mother." the other twin said, who Calore assumed was the real Fred.

"Oh, I'm sorry, George." the woman said as 'George' approached the wall.

"I'm only joking. I am Fred!" Fake George said before he and his counterpart ran through the wall. Calore smiled at her victory, however small it was.

"Pardon us, but would you mind telling us how to enter the Platform?" Harry asked the woman.

"Not to worry. It's Ron's first year going to Hogwarts too." the woman said, her youngest son waving. "All you've got to do is walk straight at the wall between Platforms 9 and 10.

"Really? That's it? I expected some kind of security measure to keep out non-magicals, but I guess not everyone is as smart as me." Dominic said, confused that the entrance would be so simple.

"This coming from the man who once ate a pigeon because he thought it's name meant 'air-steak'." Calore deadpanned as she and her family walked through the wall. The other side was far more lively, with children of many different ages boarding the train. Dominic looked at the locomotive with his eye glowing.

"You are already mine." he said under his breath before crouching down to Harry and Calore. "Remember, even if you think you're alone, you have friends all around you. You just need to know where to look." the blonde said before hugging the children and saying goodbye.

After he was sure nobody was watching, he spoke again. "Keep them safe. If I know anything about my family, it's that we always attract enemies." he said to seemingly no-one. As he opened a Dimensional Door back home, his shadow left and entered the shade of a child boarding the train.
