2. Author's Note

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately, this is not an update... but I did want to let everyone know that I am still alive and working on the newest chapter for this story. First off, I want to apologize for the fact that it is taking this long for the third chapter of The Cards of Remnant to come out. Not only have I lost a muse or two for this story…but I've also been an essential worker during the pandemic / chaotic times.

I work for the Environmental Protection Agency under a contract as a warehouse specialist and truth be told, packages kept coming in even when people aren't working, so I wasn't able to stop when everyone else could take the option to work from home like others. With several packages coming in day after day…I just came home, sat in my chair and either watched anime, tokusatsu (think Power Rangers/Super Sentai or Kamen Rider/Masked Rider…yes, I'm talking about the nineties show that attempted to bring Kamen Rider to the states and failed miserably…not the point) or just play a few games (Currently Genshin Impact among a few other things here and there)

And…that was how my year has been like: get up, get on the interstate and be in traffic, get to work, go home, and sit down. I was just…too tired to do anything that required a good amount of thought while also dealing with all the stress that was piling up between the pandemic and having to work through it.

I know that these sound like excuses but trust me when I say that this is the truth of the matter.

With vaccines out and plans now in place to help get the pandemic under control, work is starting to be less stressful. People are picking up their packages and they are not just piling up at the warehouse. Things are slowly starting to look up, and I'm not dead to the world all the time when I get home. With that being said, I DO plan on picking back up writing for chapter 3 of The Cards of Remnant.

I don't know when the chapter will be out, but I do plan to have it out sometime before the end of the year, that's what I'm hoping for and what I'm currently shooting for. Will that be the case? I…honestly don't know. And after that…I don't know what I'll be working on.

Maybe chapter 4 of this story.

Maybe a new version of one of my older stories.

I…honestly don't know. But at the same time…that is what makes me have an interest to see what the future is in for. And um…maybe someone can give me a blue telephone box so I can go back into the past and tell my self that things are alright and that they will get better? Because I'm sure just like everyone else…it's been one hell of a year.
