Chapter 5. Chiron and Dinner

Oh shit-

I look up and see a man on a horse? No, a centaur.

"h-hello sir!" I squeak. He looks at me.

"Hello Beatrice Jackson." He says to me. I stare at him in shock.

"H-how do you know my name?!" I ask him. He stares at me. "I've been waiting for you."

I backed up.

" what…" I whispered. Percy walked in front of me blocking my view from Chiron.

"What do you mean by, "I've been waiting for you," Chiron?" Percy asks. I'm still in shock.

Chiron sighs. "It's better if i say nothing until the campfire. Let's hope they claim her during that time."

Percy sighs in frustration. Annabeth nods to what Chiron said. I look at them confused. I turn my head to the side in confusion.

" What's "claim",?" They look at me. Percy smiles and says," Claim is when our godly parent claims us as their child." I look at him still confused.

"Godly parent?" I ask. Annabeth looks at me, suddenly curious. "Tris, do you have a mom or dad?" she asked me.

I look down. "My mother died. Um…I didn't know my dad, and I hate him for that. For not showing up." I say, sad and angry.

Percy looks away. Annabeth hugs while Chiron looks at me in pity.

I quickly hug Annabeth and move away. "It's alright. We didn't need him anyway. I don't need him. I turned out fine." I smile bright and fake.

Fuck him. If he was here, my mother wouldn't have died. If I didn't leave my mother alone just to go to school, she would still be here. It's all my Father's fault. HIS fault.

They look at me as if they know my smile is fake. In the distance, I hear a horn. Percy grins. "Looks like it's dinner time" He was about to run off, but Chiron grabs him.

"Now Percy, Can you show Tris here the Hermes table? She is still unclaimed, you know."

Percy freezes. "Oh, right, I forgot." Annabeth snickers at him.

"Looks like your brain is filled with salt water, Seaweed Brain." Percy glares at her playfully. I giggle. Chiron smiles.

"Alright now Children, go eat." He pats our heads and gallops away. I look at Percy and Annabeth.

" Where do we eat?" I ask them. Percy and Annabeth look at each other and then at me.

Annabeth coos at me and says, " I'm adopting you, you're now my child." She hugs me.

I look at Percy confused, looking at him like, What's wrong with this woman? He looks at me back and shrugs. Don't know child, Don't know child.

When we arrived at the Dining Pavilion. All I can say about that place is that it looked Greek.

The Dining Pavilion was on top of a hill. There were no walls or roofs. Wonder what happens when it rains. In the middle of everything, there was a fire. Or something like that. I was busy looking for a place to sit.

Percy grabbed my arm and said, " Tris, you sit over there." I look to where he was pointing and I nod. We walk to the table and he introduces me.

"Hey guys, This is Tris. She just got here so make her feel welcome." I wave. Some of them smirk. Percy looks at them sternly. "Meaning no stealing from her alright?" They pout. Percy nods and leaves. I looked at him leaving and panicked. DON'T LEAVE ME HERE! I say to myself. They look at me. Fuck.

Sorry for not posting in a while. I've been busy and like i said, i had to give my boyfriend some attention. I've been busy lately i haven't been giving him attention expect some hugs here and there. He even told me himself that i need to chill and relax. So there it is. Not a long chapter but it's something while im thinking of how to make another chapter longer. I hope you guys enjoyed and are having a good night or day. BYEEE! see you guys next time :)
