'So, Vegan told you?' Dr. Briefs said as he approached Bloomer sitting outside the Son family home, smoking a cigarette.

Trunks raced past them and boarded the plane; Bloomer walked closer.

'Not exactly, but yes.' He muttered.

'Where's my husband!' Chi Chi demanded as she, Yamaha, Krillin, Eighteen, Marron, Gohan, and Goten got off the plane.

'In there.' He said quietly.

They rushed into the house, leaving Bloomer and his father alone.

'I imagine all this must make you feel-'

'Bitter?!'

Dr. Briefs sighed as Bloomer shook his head. 'Bloomer-'

'That woman is the most selfish person I've ever met.'

'How?'

'Are you serious?!' Bloomer growled. 'Sleeping around with my best friend and getting pregnant.'

'They had a one-night stand.' Dr. Briefs said.

'The results are still the same; she's pregnant!'

'And you're in a relationship with Yamcha.' Dr. Briefs announced; Bloomer scoffed and shook his head. 'Bloomer.'

'She broke up a family!'

'Are you talking about yours or Goku's?'

'Both!'

'Both of those families were broken long before this.'

Bloomer looked at him, then back at the house.

'And now they'll never be fixed.' He flicked his cigarette away. 'I'll wait in on the plane.'

'No, I-' he paused. 'I... I need to tell her something, but I don't think I'll be able to explain it to her.'

'I'm not going stay and listen to them gush over their baby.'

'Bloomer, just stay close.'

Goku sat outside his bedroom door, hoping Vegan would come out.

She was pregnant!

Pregnant with his child...

All he could think about was Chi Chi's sobbing face; this'd hurt her.

But she was dating other men; she didn't care about what that would do to him.

Should he be concerned with her feelings?

And what of the children?

She doesn't want Vegan around them; would she make him choose between them?

The baby didn't ask for this...

And he couldn't just abandon Vegan...

And what about Bloomer?

The way he reacted...

He and Trunks went outside and refused to come back inside.

He stood up and knocked on the door. 'Vegan, it's me, Goku. We need to talk.'

The door crept open, and Vegan's head poked out; her eyes were red and puffy.

'I don't feel like talking.' She pouted.

'Goku!' Chi Chi's voice boomed.

Goku felt his shoulders sagged as Chi-Chi stomped towards him.

He felt the energies of his sons, Krillin, and his family, Yamaha and Dr. Briefs.

'Chi Chi...'

'I will not let this happen.' She turned to Vegan. 'You get out of my house.'

'I don't have the energy to deal with you.' Vegan groaned in a tired voice.

'Chi Chi...' he sighed. 'You don't have a choice.'

'Yes, I do-'

'Vegan's pregnant.'

'What?'

'Vegan is pregnant.'

Chi-Chi looked at her, then turned to Goku and burst into tears and ran into the living room crying.

'Vegan?' Called Dr. Briefs' voice. 'We need to talk.'

Vegan opened the door and looked at Goku. 'Will you come with me?'

'Of course.'

Goku followed her downstairs; Dr. Briefs, his family, Yamaha, Krillin, and his family were in the living room, Bloomer was still outside, fuming.
Everyone turned to them; Gohan looked upset, Goten looked confused, Krillin and Eighteen looked shocked, Chi-Chi and Yamcha glared at Vegan, but Dr. Briefs looked worried.

His reaction made Goku nervous.

'You left before I could talk to you.' Dr. Briefs said quietly. 'We need to discuss your options.'

'Options?' She turned to Goku, then back to Dr. Briefs as Bloomer slowly came inside with folded arms. 'Options for what?'

'You have what's called an ectopic pregnancy.'

That sounds familiar, but Goku didn't know what it was.

Goku looked at Vegan; she turned to him, then back to the doctor; Bloomer was trying to look like he didn't care.
Both Chi-Chi and Eighteen exchanged a look with widened eyes, and they both turned to Vegan while everyone else looked confused.

'What's that?' Vegan asked as she wrapped her arms around her stomach.

Dr. Briefs paused and then looked away from him; Bloomer sighed and stepped forward.

'Your baby isn't where it's supposed to be.' He said.

For some reason, Goku felt like that was directed at him...

'Where is it supposed to be?'

'It's supposed to be in her uterus. That's where normal babies grow.'

That sounded like an insult.

'Where is my baby growing?'

'In your fallopian tube.'

'Is that bad?' Goku asked.

'Of course, it is!' Bloomer snapped. 'She could die!'

Goku looked at Vegan; she turned away from them. 'But, she's got options?'

'She has one option!' Bloomer hissed as he looked at Vegan.

'Which is...?'

'An abortion.'

It hung in the air like a foul odor.

'That's probably the best thing!' Chi Chi insisted.

'No!' Goku said hotly. 'It's wrong!'

'For God's sake, Goku,' Bloomer screamed, 'Screw your morals! She could die!'

'Yes, she could die, but she might live. And, we'll have a full blood sayain child-'

'Is that all you care about?!' Chi Chi growled. 'More full-blood sayings?!'

Vegan shook her head and began to sway; Bloomer rushed to her and put his hands on her shoulders.

'You should sit down.' He said as he led her to the couch.

Chi Chi and Yamcha began whispering to themselves as Bloomer knelt in front of Vegan, taking her hands in his.

'We can always wish her back-'

'No, Kakarotto,' Vegan said quietly, 'dying in childbirth is considered the death of natural causes. If I die, I can't come back.'

Goku scratched his head as everyone looked at him; he stared at her.

'What do you want?' He asked.

'What?' Vegan replied.

'I think you can survive, but if you don't want to chance it, then... as I said, I'll be by your side regardless.'

Bloomer glared at him when he said that.

'This the best option for her! It could kill her, Goku!'

'It could, but I'm sure we can save them both!' Goku said quickly. 'Besides, do you think she'll be able to forgive herself if she did this?'

'The pregnancy might kill her, but the regret definitely will.' Eighteen said quietly. 'Won't that be just as bad?'

'Living with regret would be better than dying!' Bloomer screamed.

'Well, what of the child,' Chi-Chi chimed, 'the birth could kill it too.. what if she lives and the child doesn't? Living with that could be just as awful, right?'

'What would that do to her conscience, Goku?' Bloomer sneered.

Goku glanced over at Vegan, her eyes were closed, and she shook her head.
Probably trying to block out everyone else; this made him angry.

This was their decision, his and Vegan's, not theirs!

'Vegan!' He barked.

'What?!' She barked back.
