Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of The Lioness and the Wolf. Enjoy the 900-Word chapter. I don't own AGK, Takahiro, Square Enix and a few others do.

(Imperial Warship)

Leone floated on Jace's back as he floated. He cracked a smile while looking at the ship.

A massive explosion ripped through the hull like tissue paper. Leone looked at Jace as he easily treads water. His paw-like hands easily cut through the water.

Wood rained down on the duo. Jace watched the side erupt in flames, blasting wood and glass down on them.

"We're going to their flagship," Jace said while he slowly started to swim. Leone clung to his back all the while. "We kill him. Then we can worry about the other 4 ships." Jace said as he slowly swam through the river.

"How do you know this guy will be easy to take down?" Leone questioned before Jace looked at her. "The Colonel wouldn't leave his Admiral so easily vulnerable." Leone stated which caused Jace to look to the side.

"Colonel Matias isn't an Admiral," Jace said while he stopped to wait for wreckage. He wanted to time his pass at the ship with the drift from the wreckage. "That doesn't mean he wouldn't exactly have the mindset to command ships," Jace stated to Leone.

"Should I point out that the Admiral isn't an idiot?" Leone put in as Jace hummed. "I doubt he'd come here without a plan." Leone put in while Jace blinked.

"He doesn't exactly expect us to find him." Jace pointed out and raised an eyebrow. "These waters aren't patrolled by the resistance. How much of a navy do you think the resistance has?" Jace questioned Leone who could only let out a sigh.

Jace had a point. The resistance had focused so much on trying to destroy the empire. They had only fought the Imperial Army because it was the biggest threat to them. The Imperial Navy could never truly destroy them.

"Then we sink this fleet entirely," Leone responded which made Jace hum and look at her. "This entire fleet has to go. If Matias keeps the rest of the Imperial navy? He'll dominate the oceans." Leone added as Jace sighed.

He slowly began to swim across the ocean. Jace was focused entirely on getting to the flagship. Jace looked up to see the sailors sight the destroyed frigate.

"We're deal with that soon then, I guess," Jace stated before looking at Leone. "Take a deep breath. I'm sneaking up from the depths." Jace said as Leone's eyes widened.

Jace chuckled and took her look of shock and annoyance as revenge. He took a deep breath and forced himself and Leone underwater.

Leone growled before deciding to close her eyes and wrap her claws around Jace's chest. Jace mentally chuckled as he surfaced for only a moment. He watched the shadow of the ship draw closer to them.

Jace finally surfaced for good with Leone glaring at him. The energy coming off the girl was enough to murder a dangerous beast.

"DON'T… DO THAT… AGAIN." Leone growled out while Jace chuckled and looked at the lioness.

"That's payback for the fight we had," Jace said before slowly starting to pull himself up onto the ship. Jace looked upward.

He knew for a fact that Leone would get him back for that. Jace chuckled at this.

"Not funny, Jace." Leone hissed as Jace continued to pull upwards as he looked at Leone.

"We're going after the rest of the fleet after this," Jace stated and crawled up the ship.

Jace let out a yawn and looked to the side at the rest of the fleet. They seemed to form up around the flagship like a giant snake. Jace knew if they weren't dealt with? Leone would end up being right.

He hated that, but it wasn't like Jace could do much to subvert that view.

"Fine, we're sending them to the bottom of the ocean," Jace said as Leone crawled off his back. "But we're doing it in a way that sinks all of them at the same time. That fleet is WAY too big to try and handle alone." Jace stated which made Leone nod.

Jace dug his claws in for a moment and scratched his head. He needed to think of how to kill the admiral. Jace knew the Admiral would have elite guards and a Tengu to back himself up.

"You want to blow them all up?" Leone asked as Jace shook his head and sighed.

"No, but we're taking down the Admiral first." Jace put in and continued to climb up the ship. "We need to gut their leadership before we do something and then start to attack him," Jace added before Leone sighed and nodded.

Jace was happy the girl at least was willing to do that. If they killed the admiral? They'd cripple Matia's navy. At least until he found another officer to run it.

Jace continued to climb and grunted.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that Jace and Leone are going to have trouble. I will make chapters longer after this. The next chapter will be in 2-6 weeks and will show Jace and Leone bonding while trying to fight the admiral. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter will be 1200-2500 words. Akame will hopefully be soon.
