(Jace's Cabin)

Leone pounced towards Jace who sidestepped the wildly feral attack. Her eyes opened and closed, eager for fresh prey as she turned toward the former rebel Colonel.

"Scared?" Leone asked to which Jace shook his head. "You know… I've had your sent for a while on my nose. It's just EATING me up inside." Leone purred which caused Jace to drop to a crouch.

He knew she was hunting him. Their Tengus screeched at them to ravage the other. Jace fought him every step of the way. He would not allow his weapon to command him to do such things… But he had no idea weather could only hope he knew more than it came down to it.

"You're giving in to your Tengu, Leone," Jace said, his claws cutting marks into the wood under him. "But no, I'm not scared. Interested in what you can do with a formerly broken weapon like that." Jace stated while he cracked his fingers.

He knew Leone would overpower him in a direct flight. Even without the power she now held? She was a more direct fighter than him. He could not hope to match her the more he thought about it… But the thing was? He didn't plan on it. He didn't even think about trying it.

Not till now… When he wanted to hunt. Leone wanted to get him to let loose? Fine, he'd stop holding back.

Leone watched Jace slowly crouched down, his claws flicking out as he rushed at her with interest. He leaped over her before grabbing her arm and flipping her over his shoulder as he threw her to the ground before trying to stomp her which was ignored while she rolled away.

He followed after her, knowing the second she reclaimed her ground she'd be able to overpower him with ease. She grinned and flipped to her feet, kicking him in the chest as she went.

"Aw, is someone getting annoyed?" Leone asked while flipping onto her front paws.

Jace said nothing and dodged a slash to his chest that would have cut into his ribs. Jace and Leone shared a look as she stared at his narrowed eyes.

"Someone's bloodthirsty." Leone stated, her lips pulling apart in a smirk. "Finally giving into that instinct you've got?" Leone questioned to which Jace blinked.

"You sound like Esdeath," Jace stated, cracking his knuckles as he prepared for another fight with the woman. "I do enjoy fighting when it isn't life and death. Still? You're enjoying this WAY too much for someone who's already killed enough for a lifetime." Jace pointed out to which Leone could only hum as she turned to the side with a shrug.

"There's plenty to enjoy about the fighting." Leone pointed out as the duo continued circling each other. "The constant rush as you throw yourself around, questioning what the next move will be like. You've never once enjoyed that rush?" Leone questioned, her teeth gnashing against each other.

Jace said nothing, knowing exactly what the fight would be like if he agreed that he did enjoy that rush. There were plenty of questions the duo had.

He cracked his fingers as he looked at her while flipping up into the air, bringing his claws down upon her which was blocked by her. He glared at her while kicking off her chest and lunged at her once more.

"You're so boring." Leone stated, rushing at Jace only for him to somersault to the side. "You have all this power yet you're just holding back. Is a little voice in your head telling you to do naughty things?" Leone questioned to which Jace rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, and I know Lionel is doing the same thing. You're just toying with me." Jace said and lunged forward at her with amusement. "I know you; I know plenty about how you mess with people. How much of that flirt is real and how much are just instinct, manipulation, or such?" Jace questioned an eyebrow raised as he continued to slash at Leone.

He got no answer, nor did he expect one. Leone might have liked certain people, but she didn't know him much at all. Jace watched her eyes narrow in amusement as she thought about how to continue the dance of death the duo currently had going.

Jace dodged a kick that would have caved in his chest if it connected. He caught her next kick and knocked her to the ground, interest building before she finally shook her head.

"Ok, fine… I'm all tuckered out." Leone stated to which Jace could only roll his eyes. "But I still want to know why you're so tense. Your like boss, only without any restraint." Leone said to which Jace shrugged.

"I've been fighting for a LONG time, Leone." Jace pointed out as Jace straightened up. "Battle is a LARGE part of who I am. Guess I just never got used to the war being over…. I'm NOT Esdeath, though. I don't enjoy war and death and destruction. Not unless it's for a good reason, not unless it's the people who DESERVE to get hurt." Jace added to which Leone nodded.

Leone shut off her Tengu. She realized the lion-like weapon had fused with her permanently in a way. It was part of her, it would ALWAYS be part of her.

Still? Leone knew not everything she felt was just because of her Tengu. There were plenty of things for her to consider the more she thought about.

"And yet you're still living…. And you made sure I'm not dead either." Leone put in and got another shrug. "And how many guys do we still have to go through before that's done? You're going to fight for the rest of your life?" Leone asked as she slowly turned back to normal.

"If I have to make sure they fail and keep the peace we fought so hard for," Jace stated, his own body starting to return to normal. "I don't like doing it, but someone has to. All of Night Raid is gone and the people still alive? All of them are busy. You were the only one of the groups that I could get to… Anyway, I have to talk to my contacts and make sure we can track down General Crimson or Matias… Or whoever he calls himself nowadays." Jace stated, his voice slowly falling as he pondered what to do at the moment.

Leone watched Jace slowly turn and walk away, gathering his coat up from the ground and hummed. He was curious about what came next?

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out chapters will be delayed after this. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show Leone and Jace talking more and show more bonding and more about Jace's life. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
