The demon of the mansion was dead and all that was left was to leave. Wandering back to Teruko and telling her that it was safe. Both Tanjiro and the little girl were able to make it outside. Once they were, a bright light engulfed their field of vision. When he made it outside, what he saw made his eyes widen in surprise.

Inosuke, Tanjiro's new companion, and that yellow-haired demon slayer, Zenitsu were facing off each other. "Why the hell do you keep screaming!" Inosuke cried out. "D-Don't you know!? That Thing! There's a demon in there!" Zenitsu cried out in horror pointing at Tanjiro's box. Nezuko. Tanjiro tried to step in but before he could, Inosuke let out another cry, "The sister belongs to by underling, Manjiro! It's important to him!" cried out Inosuke with a proud stance. Zenitsu let out a shriek while Tanjiro felt his heart slightly. Even if Inosuke got his name wrong, it was the thought that counts.

"Inosuke. Zenitsu."

The two slayers looked back at Tanjiro. "Oh! You made it out!" cried Inosuke. "As expected from MY underling." Zenitsu had tears in his eyes. "Taaaannnjiroo! Is it true? Is the demon in the box your sister?" Tanjiro walked over to them with Teruko close behind him. He lifted up the box by the strap and put it back on his back. 'Yes." He confirmed. Zenitsu looked into Tanjiro's eyes and saw nothing but honesty. That the very least, allowed Zenitsu to calm down a bit.

The truth was since he first laid eyes on the box, he knew there was something resembling a demon in there. Something strange but he couldn't bring himself to ask. It was when he came out and saw the two brothers glaring at the box was when he panicked. The box was making timid scratching noises as the demon was scratching at the wood from the outside. That was right before Inosuke found his way outside and mistook Zenitsu for trying to kill Nezuko. Zenitsu was way too scared to even go anywhere near the box in the first place. Seeing Tanjiro's eyes when he confirmed what inosuke said made the yellow boy feel calmer. There was something about Tanjiro;'s sound that made him feel at ease. At the very best, Tanjiro was someone he could trust. It reminded him of his Aniki. The one who taught him what true trust was. The one that saves him from many heartbreaks.

At the very least, Tanjiro was genuinely trustworthy.

Shortly after that, Teruko was able to reunite with her two other brothers. With a bit of reverse psychology for Inosuke, Tanjiro and the others were able to bury any bodies they could find left behind inside the mansion. Inosuke actually took off his mask when he helped out, or more as it got snagged on a tree. Zenitsu and Inosuke stared at him for a good while. "Got a problem with my face?!" Inosuke cried out when he caught their glares at him. Zenitsu and the children stared at him with shock at how beautiful his facial features were. Tanjiro was the only one who openly commented on it.

The trio said goodbye to the younger siblings and left Teruko a pack of wisteria to ward off demons. The next thing the trio knew, they were following Tanjiro's crow all the way to an inn. The inn had a Wisteria Flower crest of the Fuji Family on it. Here they were ordered to rest and recover from their wounds until their next mission. They were greeted by an old woman that went by the name of Hina. Tanjiro greeted her while Inosuke poked at her. Zenitsu seemed relatively scared of her. Hina on the other hand seemed unbothered. Old Lady Hina prepared food and a place for them to rest at a rather quick pace. She even brought them a doctor to analyze their wounds. Luckily none of them had too many broken bones. Tanjiro had the worse injuries due to having fought a demon before the Swamp Demon of the mansion. According to the doctor, it won't take too long to heal and they would be able to get back on their foot shortly.

During the night, Tanjiro explained everything to Zenitsu. This is about his sister and how he met Inosuke. It was only shortly after that when Nezuko made herself known to Zenitsu and Inosuke. Since then, Zenitsu basically became infatuated with Nezuko, chasing her and Tanjiro around the room. All the while. Inosuke snuck away due to the noise and had a short private time with old lady Hina.

Soon enough, their wounds healed and once they did, they immediately got another directive. This being, Mount Natagumo. Apparently, many demon slayers were sent there and have never returned. The trio (plus Nezuko) happened to be the closes at this point in time. Once they were ready to leave, old lady Hina sent them off with a purification ritual. Sparks for Good Luck. Sometimes to give the slayers luck since they were going into danger. With that, the three left the inn.

Within a few hours in the dead of night, the trio found themselves at the base of Mount, Natagumo.

"Are you sure this is a good idea, Oyakata-sama?"

Kokushibo. The man that spared Tanjiro and Nezuko's lives two years ago. He and Tanjiro are actually pen pals and have been communicating with each other for the pass two years. After the incident with Tamayo and Yushiro, Kokushibo hadn't received a letter but was glad to have received one when Tanjiro and his friends rested at the Wisteria Inn.

"Yes, I am sure. Consider this a test for their strength, Miichikatsu."

Kokushibo bowed his head with the other's response. "I respect your decision Oyakata-sama. I am sure they won't disappoint you."

"I trust you, Michikatsu."
