"HE WANTS TO DO WHAT NOW?" Dr. Banner roared. I was currently standing in Director Fury's office with the original Avengers, Jason, my father, and of course, Director Fury. Just like I thought, the discussion about Loki's deal was not going well. "He probably wants to use this as a way to escape and cause destruction all over again."

"I agree with Banner. We don't know what Loki is truly thinking," Steve Rodgers said. Most of the other Avengers agreed. Thor kept his mouth shut but I could tell that he wanted to give his brother the benefit of the doubt.

I spoke, "You guys have no reason to trust Loki and I get that. However, this isn't just about him. This is about me."

"You should have not gotten involved with him. He is a terrible influence filling your mind with nonsense. The pills your mother makes have worked perfectly fine for years," My father argued.

"If the pills worked so well, why did I almost destroy myself the one time I used my power?" That shut my dad up really quick.

"Letting Loki go free is still a bad idea. He could be manipulating you," Jason spoke up. I gave him a look that told him that I wasn't happy with what he just said. "However, I also think we should give him a chance. We've tried everything to keep Ara's powers under wraps and it's only a matter of time until the medicine quits working."

"What's so bad about Adara's powers anyways?" Tony asked. Fury, my father, Jason, and I all looked at one another, having a silent conversation. There were very few people that knew what my powers were and what the source to them was. It was a group decision between my parents and Fury to keep the knowledge as limited as possible to keep from anyone trying to manipulate me into using them for destruction.

Fury spoke, "Adara, it's your decision if you want to tell them." I looked over at Jason and he gave me a nod of approval.

Letting out a sigh, I said, "I was born with the power to create fire from thin air and my body heat." I laid my palm flat out in front of me as a small flame appeared. Each of the Avengers looked at the flame in awe before I quickly distinguished it. My body's temperature was sitting higher than it was before. I could also see my father and Jason keeping a close eye to make sure I didn't overheat.

"Fascinating," Dr. Banner said, being the first one to speak up. I felt like a science experiment all of the sudden as each Avenger studied me in their own way. Dr. Banner was more on the scientific side. Tony was internally wondering why he didn't know this before and how awesome it was. Steve Rodgers was trying to figure out what use I could be. Natasha was wondering if I was a threat or not. Finally, Clint just kind of shrugged it off.

"What haven't you used your powers before? Or even helped us when needed?" Natasha asked.

I groaned, "I haven't used it in years. When I was little, it was easier for me to control on my own, plus the medication my mother makes specifically for me. However, a few years ago, someone I thought I could trust found out about my powers. They pushed me past my limit of control and there was a lot of destruction. After that, I was never able to gain back the control I had and it's just better if I never use my powers."

"Why not?" Tony asked.

"You guys wouldn't get it. My powers cause nothing but destruction."

"You're saying that when I can turn into the Hulk," Dr. Banner argued.

"I wasn't just talking about destruction of buildings and cities."

Steve Rodgers asked, "What do you mean then?" I just shook my head. Yes, each of them have seen their own battles and different forms of destruction. They all had to have faced battles internally on top of externally. However, they were able to conquer their struggles one way or another. That was something I could never obtain.

"It's better not to ask," Jason spoke up as he carefully eyed me. My head was slowly starting to fill up with overwhelming thoughts as more and more questions were getting thrown at me. It was going to be hard for me to breathe soon.

"Why not? If we let Loki out in hopes he helps her then we need to know what her issue is. It's only fair," Clint finally spoke. Bickering started to fill the room as Jason, Fury, and my father tried to tell the Avengers that they didn't need to know all the details of my powers. It was starting to overstimulate my senses

"It's because my powers are killing me," I snapped. All eyes turned back towards me as everyone stopped talking out of shock. "I'm not completely human. I don't know what I am or how it happened. However, instead of a heart I have a small sun that is the source of my powers. The older I get, the bigger the sun gets. As the sun gets bigger, the more it burns me inside out. My own powers are killing me and unless we figure out a way to control it, my death will most likely be caused by a supernova. So, excuse me if I want to give the pain in the ass, God of Mischief, a chance to possibly save my life."

"Any more questions?" Fury asked. Still too stunned to speak, each of the Avengers shook their heads no. I gave them a nod as Jason, and I left the room.
