"Are you taking Loki out anytime soon?" Jason asked once I arrived at the headquarters. I gave him a flat look before the two of us started heading towards my workspace. "I swear he is getting desperate for you to let him out of his cell. What if he has some sort of plan that he needs to get done in a time crunch?"

I shrugged, "He probably feels like he is an animal in captivity that is on display for all of S.H.I.E.L.D. to gawk at."

"But seriously. You told him you'd allow him to leave S.H.I. . at some point."

"And he will. Just not now. I don't trust him enough not to attempt to run away."

"That's valid," Jason said as he sat in my chair and started spinning around in circles like the overgrown child he is. "So, what exactly is your plan? Because knowing you, you always have a plan."

"Movie day," I said, holding up my bag full of movies and snacks.

"Can I join? Wait, why am I even asking? I have to make sure you and Mr. God of Mischief don't team up to destroy the world." I wasn't at all surprised that Jason wanted to also do movie day. Jason could be extremely lazy when he wanted to and was using the fact that he was to babysit me as an excuse to join in.

"What if I don't want you there?" I asked, jokingly.

Jason scoffed, "Too bad. I'm coming whether you like it or not. Speaking of which, what movies are we watching anyways?"

"You'll see," I said, not giving Jason the answer, he wanted. If I did, I'm sure he would find something to complain about. He could be very particular with his movie tastes.

Standing outside Loki's cell, I observed him as he was so focused on his reading, he had no idea what was going on with the world around him. It was almost peaceful. For once, Loki didn't seem like a threat. If anything, he seemed completely innocent. Or at least as innocent as a mass murder and multi-world criminal could be.

"Are you just going to stand there and stare at me all day? Or are you here to let me out?" Loki asked, causing me to realize that he knew I was there the whole time.

I rolled my eyes before replying, "I'm letting you out of your cell, but don't think for a second we are leaving headquarters."

"And why not?" He asked with a very judgy attitude. I forgot for a second that he was technically a prince and was used to getting his way… most of the time.

"Because I said so. I have told you before, 'On Asgard, you may be a prince, but here, you are nothing but a prisoner.' So therefore, you don't get to whine about me not letting you out into the world." All Loki did was put down his book and walked towards me with his stupid smirk on his face. Part of me was attracted to his stupid smirk, but the other part just wanted me to slap it off his face.

"Then why are you here?" Loki asked in a captivating tone.

"Well, I figured since I don't trust you to be out in the world yet, that I could at least get you out of your cage. You are joining Jason and I on a movie day."

"Movie? What exactly is a movie?"

I thought about it before answering, "It's like a play, but at the same time it isn't. Just trust me, you will enjoy it. Or at least I hope you will since it's getting you an entire day out of your cell."

"And if I don't enjoy it?"

"Then next time, you can stay in your cell all day while Jason and I enjoy our movie day. I have nothing to lose if you don't end up liking the movies I have chosen," I shrugged. All I got in response was an impressed look. I took that as my cue to open his cell door and have him follow me where Jason was setting up movie day.

As Loki and I were walking through the headquarters, I saw a familiar face appear out of nowhere. I quickly tried to look for a hiding place, but unfortunately the closest one was hiding behind Prince Pain which would be even more suspicious.

"Adara, is that you?" My mother called out. I groaned, knowing this could be the dreaded moment my mother found out I was now working for S.H.I.E.L.D. because I know she wouldn't leave me alone. She would have to know everything I was doing, including the work I was doing with Loki.

"Hey, Mom," I said in an awkward tone as I sent Jason an SOS text. I could feel Loki looking between the two of us trying to figure out what was happening. "I thought you would be in your office, working."

"I was about to go check in with your father because he is watching Toby. Why are you here?"

"I'm visiting Jason. In fact, I'm heading to a conference room to meet him right now."

"You know it's rude to come and disturb people why they are working. Jason has a real job, unlike you and your waitressing job. And why are you with a prisoner? You're not allowed to be near him. He has destroyed half of New York. You aren't planning to break him out, are you?"

"That's because I asked her to get him for me," Director Fury said as he appeared behind my mother and Jason following him. I smiled as my mother's judgmental look dropped. She couldn't critique my every move in front of Fury, if she wanted to keep her innocent act up. "Do you have a problem with that, Dr. Hawkins?"

"No, Sir. Absolutely not. I'm simply curious as to why you sent Adara instead of an agent?" My mother said, stumbling over her words. She's terrible at talking back to authority.

Director Fury nodded towards me and said, "I could have, but Loki Laufeyson isn't trustworthy and could easily manipulate any agent if he chooses. I know your daughter well enough to know she wouldn't fall for any of Loki's tricks. Plus, she has quite a few abilities of her own that would make it difficult for Loki to manipulate her. Any other questions, Dr Hawkins, or are you able to leave to do whatever you are supposed to be doing?"

"No Sir," My mother said, looking at the ground. I smirked at the fact that Fury stood up for me. "I'll leave. I need to meet with my husband and son, anyways" Without protest, my mother walked away, towards where my father worked.

"Thank you, Sir," I finally spoke up.

"You're welcome. Wasn't part of our agreement that your mother couldn't know that you work for us now?"

"Yes, it was."

"I'll let you get back to work. Let me know if your mother finds you again because we might have to produce a new plan."

"Yes Sir," I replied before Director Fury walked away from the small group.

Loki asked, "What was that about?"

"Not all of us have great relationships with their mothers," I said as Jason, Loki, and I headed off to do our movie day.
