...The Future?...

Blaise has chosen the clingy path as the Ravenclaw and Slytherin match approaches. I scan through the plant books in the library while he hugs me from behind. "You know, with you acting like this it's getting harder and harder to 'break-up' with you." I mutter. He doesn't respond. Instead, he kisses my cheek. I may have made him a bit upset when I said I didn't want to go to Italy with him.

Both Blaise and Meredith have desperately been trying to convince me to change my mind but I'm rather reluctant. "Give me one good reason why you don't want to go to Italy with me baby bird." he whispers kissing my neck. "I don't know..." I mumble. He turns me around to him and cups my face so I have to look at him.

"I'm scared." I whisper. Blaise bites his lip fighting a smile. "You're scared. Scared of what exactly? I didn't know the girl who jumps off her broom mid-match had fears of a country." he teases. "I'm scared that I'll never want to leave." I admit a blush blossoming onto my cheeks. Blaise looks away. He places his hands on his hips and looks me up and down.

"Oh, my little baby bird is so cute." he smirks cupping my face and kissing me. I place my hands on his shoulders. "I have to study." I whisper. "Play with me instead." he whispers. "Help me study." I pout. He pauses. "Oh, that's not fair baby bird. That's not fair at all." he mumbles. I pepper his face in kisses.

"Damn, fine. I'll help you study." he sighs in defeat. He grabs a book and leads me back to our table. He pulls me onto his lap. I listen as he goes over my homework with me. "Are you going to sleep?" he whispers. I shake my head. "I was just thinking." I reply turning to look at him. He looks me over carefully.

"Are you sure you're, ok? You look a little tired love." he cups my face and examines my eyes. "I had another nightmare. I only got 10 minutes of sleep but I'm perfectly fine." I promise. He frowns and turns my body. I start to whine but he's having none of it. He places my head on his shoulder. "You never gave me my confiscated things back." I yawn and pout. In seconds I'm knocked out. I wake to him humming.

"Baby bird is finally awake to play." he whispers excitedly. I sit up and look around. No one is paying us any mind. I kiss him softly taking him by surprise. "The next time I have a nightmare I'll come straight to you." I promise. He stares at me a smile tugging at his lips. "I love you." I whisper kissing him again. "I swear on Merlin's grave if you're about to 'break-up' with me I will raise holy hell and walk around this school screaming in Italian." Blaise frowns.

I kiss him again. "I love you too baby bird." he whispers. "Good, but you looked really cute when you were pouting that day." I tease. He motions for me to get up. He leads me out of the library and out onto the grounds. We walk around for a bit then watch the sunset. "What'd you get in the mail today?" Blaise wonders as I play with his hands. "Oh, that. Just the official invite for Vanessa and John's wedding in the spring." I shrug.

"There wouldn't have been a plus one attached to that would there?" he whispers kissing my neck. "No, there wasn't. Why?" I turn to him. He starts pouting and I smile. "There was an order however for me to bring my Italian boyfriend because they knew I'd rip your invite to pieces." I sigh sadly. Blaise rolls over on top of me and kisses me until I'm a blushing mess.

"Where's the order?" he whispers. I look away pouting. "What? What's wrong baby bird?" he mumbles. I refuse to look him in the eyes. He sighs and sits up pulling me with him. "Cass love, talk to me. I can't help if you don't talk to me." he whispers. "It's nothing. I was just thinking." I lie.

Blaise turns me back to him and I melt upon looking into his eyes. "Don't lie to me Cassidy. Now, what's wrong?" he tucks my hair behind my ears. "It's nothing. I promise." I whisper. Blaise frowns and starts counting back from ten. I whine in complaint but he doesn't stop. "Mum and dad told me that Elizabeth was sick and I'm a bit worried." I blurt out finally.

"Are you going to be, ok?" he whispers. I nod because I don't quite trust my voice. "Cassidy." he mumbles with warning and worry in his voice. "I'm worried about her is all. She's up there in age but I still see her as a puppy." I sniffle. I wrap my arms around him and hiding in the crook of his neck.

"Cassidy, love, please look at me." Blaise whispers. I look up and he waits until I'm calm. "I'm right here, ok?" he gives my lips a quick peck before pulling me into a hug. I nuzzle his neck softly. "I'm scared she's not going to make it." I cry. He pats my back occasionally kissing my tear-streaked cheeks until I'm all cried out.

The first thing I do when I get home is race over to where Elizabeth lies in the sunroom and lay next to her. I stoke her soft fur and curl up next to her. "How are you? Did they give you lots of treats?" I wonder. She licks my face and bumps my other hand with her nose. Mere lies down on her other side and we all curl up together and fall asleep.

A shadow falls over me and Elizabeth and I look up. "Your parents say that you haven't been eating." Blaise whispers. Mum calls Elizabeth and she gets up nudging Blaise's hand before scampering off. "Your parents are going to help the Finnigans look for a house here in the countryside." Blaise walks over and picks me up.

I frown as he carries me into the kitchen. "Elizabeth is going to the vet. She'll be fine." he whispers setting me down on the counter. He walks to and fro getting ingredients and cooking for me. I eat and eat until he's satisfied and then he carries me up to my room. I quickly fall asleep in his arms as he cuddles me under my blankets.

I yawn and stretch feeling well rested. Blaise kisses my cheek and I roll over and straddle his lap. I rest my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. I lace my fingers and his placing his hands on my lower back. "Baby bird. Take a deep breath and relax." Blaise whispers. My heart is racing just listening to his heart beating. "I don't think I can do that." I start kissing his neck. He groans and flips us over. His hand dip into my shorts and the other travels under my shirt.

Blaise carries me to the shower and sets me on my wobbly legs. "You adorable little brat. I love you so, so, so much." he smiles cupping my face. I smile and kiss him softly. "I know." I whisper. He chuckles and sigh blissfully as the water cascades over me. I turn around and walk under the water.

I'm hungry again so I drag Blaise down to the kitchen. "My girlfriend has an impressive appetite. We should wait a couple years after we get married to have kids. You'd eat us out of house and home if you got pregnant early." he tsks. "Who on earth said anything about marrying you or having your kids? What complete and utter bullshit! Why I never!" I huff going to get myself some tequila. He drags me back to him and leads me over to the meat fridge.

"What do you want to eat baby bird?" he chuckles. "Sushi!" I smile. He frowns and puts his hands on his hips. "Do I look like I know how to make sushi?" he scoffs. I look him up and down and nod. He thumps my forehead and I pout. "Fine! Steak and potatoes?" I wonder. Blaise places his hands next to mine and smiles. "Why was that a question?" he whispers.

"I want Wagyu and Kobe steak with mushrooms, green beans, and pommes aligot." I place my hands on his shoulders and give his lips a quick peck. "Yeah, you have expensive taste baby bird." he laughs. I kiss him again and he sighs. "I'll try, you'll have to walk me through it though." he kisses the top of my head. I take him step by step through the process and even take photos.

"Why?" he chuckles turning around. "I can't share these with your aunt and mother?" I frown. He waves my question off with a laugh. "What's the next step Cassidy?" he mumbles looking at the food. I give him the last of the instructions and hum the Jeopardy! theme song while I wait. Blaise turns to me with a frown. "Hey! Focus on the food. Don't burn the meat." I pout. He raises an eyebrow and starts muttering to himself in Italian.

I wrap my arms around his waist. "I love you dummy." I smile. He chuckles and plates the food. I sit in his lap and dig in a happy smile on my face. "Is it that good?" he mumbles. "Better than sex." I tease. He growls quietly and I feed him some. His eyes go wide and he nods at the plate. I feed him another bite and while he eats, I take another bite and lean my head back.

"After I graduate can you cook for me often?" I wonder as Blaise does dishes. He places his hands on the counter and laughs. "How come when I bring up the future post-graduation you get upset but when you do it everything is fine?" he pouts. "Because I didn't bring up marriage or kids." I state in a 'duh' matter-of-fact tone as I grab a slice of triple chocolate cake, ice cream, and soda from the fridge and freezer.

Blaise frowns at me and I feed him some cake. He mumbles to himself and tuts at me from time to time. "How'd you get here?" I ask rubbing his shoulders. "My aunt has a house in town." he scoffs. "Play with me." I whisper as he finishes the dishes. "We have exams as soon as we get back to school. How about we study instead. Come on baby bird." he picks me up and carries me to my room.

I ace my exams no problem and wait for Blaise at the bottom of the marble stairs. He sits down next to me and kisses my cheek. "Hey there pretty girl." he whispers making me blush. I climb onto his lap and wrap my arms around him. "I'm going to miss you this summer." I whisper. "Can't you take me with you?" he whines. I shake my head. "No, but I'll send you letters and photos." I promise. He starts muttering in Italian and I frown and thump his forehead.

We end up in pinch tickle poke fight. I cling to him hiding my blushing face in his neck. "You big meanie." I mumble. "Aww, you love me though so I must be doing something right Cassidy." he murmurs. "I hate you." I mutter. "Oh no, don't take several steps back. It's ok to admit you like me." Blaise laughs. "But I don't like you." I state calmly. "No, you admitted that you love me. I heard it." he lifts my face and kisses me softly.

I watch as Umbridge races down the grounds with Peeves hot on her tail. "Please stay this summer. Don't go. Stay put so I know you're safe." Blaise pleads. "I got the photos from Vanessa and John's wedding. Do you want to see them?" I wonder. "Cassie, I'm asking you to stay." Blaise frowns. "I know. I'm not going anymore. I just wanted to know if you wanted to come over." I pout and look away.

"I'd love to come over." he whispers hugging me from behind. "Daisy, Sarah, Lenna, and Wren were completely adorable, weren't they?" I whisper. Vanessa and John adopted Sarah, Lenna, and Wren too as their families were also victims of Fenrir. I had put Sarah and Daisy's hair in braided buns. Daisy's brown sugar-colored eyes only focused on the sweets buffet and I wound up picking sprinkles from her coral hair.

Sarah who's two years younger than Daisy stayed glommed to Mere and Explosion Boy the entire night. Her sunset blonde hair coming down in tendrils framing her pouty face. Her blush red eyes not daring to focus on anyone else other than Mere and Seamus. Wren was a little flirt the whole night with his light honey blonde hair slicked back and his tawny brown eyes winking at older women.

He's a year younger than Daisy but I could've sworn he was acting like he was over 18. Lenna being the youngest at six stayed close to my parents. She'd taken her onyx hair down form the pigtails she'd been sporting her honey orange eyes slowly closing after a day of fun.

"When we have kids, I want them to look just like you." Blaise mumbles suddenly. I choke on air and turn to him bewildered. "Stop bringing up the future so casually. I never agreed to having your kids." I huff poking his chest. "Yeah, yeah, yeah but just imagine it. I'd it if we had a baby girl first so I'd have two girls to dote on." he smiles and kisses my cheeks. I growl and push him away.

"I'm not having your kids! You can burn that dream of yours right up. Better yet add some new bitch in it that aint me cause I do not agree with this future plan of yours." I huff and start walking away. I hear him following me. "Did you piss Cassie off again?" Astoria asks as I hide behind Luna.

"No!" he chuckles. "I am not your future baby mama." I stick my tongue out. Blaise waves me over as my friends double over laughing. "No, go get your dick wet somewhere else." I mouth just as Draco and Theo happen to be passing by. They trip over themselves and Blaise drags them back inside as they start asking questions. I throw my arms around Luna. "The snake bastard is already talking about marriage and how he wants to have a daughter first so he'll have two girls to dote on." I sniffle.

"So, what he meant was he wants that pu-" I smack the back of Astoria's head. "Do you kiss Draco with that filthy mouth?" I question. She blushes, curtsies, and runs off to hide behind Ginny.
