Graduations & Protections
The original Team 7 stood in the middle of the Hokage's office, facing the Sadamine who sat behind his desk. "Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. I am glad to inform you that you've all been promoted from Genin to Chunin." The old man proclaimed before turning his gaze to the team's Jonin sensei. "Kakashi, hand them their eligible Chunin vests."
Kakashi did as he was told and gave them each a pickle green flak jackets.
"Alright, one more step towards becoming Hokage!" Naruto cheered.
Sasuke smirked a little. "I am catching up to my brother that I want to murder. Have I mentioned enough that I want to murder my brother?"
"Wait! Hold on!" Sakura shouted, earning her everyone's attention. "You gave us protection for our foreheads when we graduated from the academy and first now do you give us protection for the rest our bodies."
Without opening his eyes, the Hokage smiled and nodded to the young Kunoichi's question.
"What sense does that make? Shouldn't we be given this sort of protection as soon as we graduated since we were a lot more vulnerable back then?" Sakura asked, getting frustrated.
"Yes. We do that to motivate our young Shinobi to climb up the ranks faster." The Hokage replied. "Get a promotion or get an enemy knife thru the chest!"
At the same time, in the forests outside Konohagakure...
"Udon, Moegi, we have finally graduated. We are now NINJA!" Konohamaru declared as he thrust his fist in the air and his two friends cheered.
"Oh boy Konohamaru, I hope we get the chance to earn our Chunin vests soon." Udon said. "My torso feels kind of exposed."
Suddenly, three ninjas wearing all black jumped out of the bushes and threw kunais into the kids' chests, killing them instantly.
"Good job men." One of the ninjas exclaimed.
"Yeah, it was surprisingly easy to find this Hidden Village with those four giant faces carved into the mountain."
